Arthur Whittle 0 Posted November 28, 2007 Firstly i must apologise about my outburst towards Roeder when he was appointed as manager. I said he had no charisma and a rubbish track record. The man is clearly a very intelligent bloke and has made some promising comments and loans [although his track record was somewhat questionable]. I know its early and i can remember the buzz around grants appointment so i wont be getting to carried away but it seems i was wrong as he seems very charismatic and certainly knows who we need to lift us out of this mess.Secondly although i wont be protesting yet i still think the board needs to know they must back us fans and the manager with hard cash if not its back to square one, so i don''t think a protest will do any harm in fact it will only put a rocket up the boards backside. Too many people get complacent at CR after a couple of wins and soon forget the turmoil our club is still in...WE MUST NOT LET THEM FORGET. Now its very likely IMO that Roeder was actually a cheap option and the gamble has paid off unlike Grants appointment so its up to the board come January to prove me wrong. It seems we have a decent manager at last much to the boards relief i should imagine [ i bet they''re calling us suckers!], a wonderful following [ everyone i speak to outside Norfolk are shocked about the loyalty shown by Norwich fans towards the CLUB] so its up to the board to pay us back. Unlucky Fried Kitten 0 Posted November 28, 2007 Well said, Arthur. I was talking to a Liverpool fan (a scouser, not a Norfolk born glory-hunter) after the England debacle, and he seemed genuinely surprised when I told him we were averaging about 24,000 fans every match, despite being rock bottom. Maybe a great many of us had excessively high expectations that we deserved a Mourinho or Wenger .My only reservation about having such an intelligent, experienced & ,apparently, tactically-astute manager was that his vision for the future here could be backed by the board. Maybe January will prove to be a watershed ,one way or another.
ca 1 Posted November 28, 2007 Well done Arthur for admitting that you may have judged Roeder a bit hastily. As for the board I agree that they must be clear that we expect them to back Roeder in Jan with hard cash but still feel that any protests should be put on hold until we are out of the bottom 6.Letters to the club, letters to the papers, emails to the board, calls to the local radio station, anything but a protest which will upset the players and Roeder at this crucial time. Cheerio 0 Posted November 28, 2007 Well done for the public apology Arthur, 10 points. Now you''re only minus 90 :o)Would you clarify ''turmoil'' ?

Arthur Whittle 0 Posted November 28, 2007
It takes a big man to apologise and acknowlege they are wrong. Hopefully all of the Smudger bashers can leave him alone?
I have no worries in my apology to Roeder as it was to hasty of a judgement but i still do not back the board one bit as they have still failed to prove me wrong. They have had to many close calls and got away with it and they do not show the same kind of loyalty towards the club as the great fans do. The next couple of months will be very testing times for them and they have a great chance to prove me wrong but i worry history will repeat itself.

I''m perfectly happy to just ignore him, hes the one who craves the attention and keeps on and on at everyone else. I shouldn''t really post this as it just feeds him more attention. And as Graham says, whats this got to do with Smudger anyway? To Arthur, dont worry about the apology we all have views on this board and we all change them from time to time so no worries.
