Chopper Harris 0 Posted November 2, 2007 This will be a bit tricky for Glenn. He clearly has not seen an awful lot of us this season and although he will have seen the boys in training, it is quite different to matches. How does he decide on such things as who to play with Taylor at CB or who will fill in at LB, which combination of dodgy forwards is likely to score, who to play in midfield (draw lots, they are all as bad as each other)My hunch is that there will be the hand of Gunn involved in the team for SundayI also think that he will have to make a judgement on who will step up for the fight. Who wants to play for him and who doesn''t (Hucks, now is the time to show your true colours)
Syteanric 1 Posted November 2, 2007 well he is already sure of his CB pairing and knows that Lappin can play left back too... he might not of seen us much this season but he has done his homeworkjas :)

Unlucky Fried Kitten 0 Posted November 2, 2007 Presumably he can look at videos/DVDs of some of our shambolic performances. That recent horror show at QPR must be available for his delectation, which would give him some idea of where the problems lie. He can also ask Gunny and some of the more senior players for their views. If all else fails: ask the tea lady.
still holding out for new heroes 0 Posted November 2, 2007 I guess you keep it simple game 1, pick a formation 442, and try to play players who are comfortable in each position, then look at who seems up for it in training

James Kent 0 Posted November 2, 2007 Well he has Gunn and and dublin for advice as well as the current staff. Also glenn has resources such a video and probably bio info on players that can give you information on best positions and that sort of thing. On top of that he probably knows the team roughly and we know he has seen games such as QPR. Finally he can talk to players and ask them what their best positions is. renegade tootsie 0 Posted November 3, 2007 Its really not that difficult, especially for an experienced manager. He will have some idea over the past few weeks as he has been in the frame for the job. He has dvd''s (dont forget every home game is available to him as the play it online) and he has at least three training sessions with them. HE could even look at the team sheets for the past few games and go from there. It really is not rocket science![quote user="Chopper Harris"]This will be a bit tricky for Glenn.
