ricardo 8,041 Posted August 25, 2007 Not very brilliant.A nice trip and a nice day out but a very ordinary performance from our boys. Hull were no great shakes but they deserved the points on the balance of play. We had no width at all, Croft was anonymous and the front two had very little support. We equalised against the run of play and for a few minutes looked like we might even sneak all three points but once Hull got the second the writing was on the wall.I thought Russell was our man of the match but in truth we created very little.Come back Darren Huckerby.............................Please. Yellow Rages 0 Posted August 25, 2007 Any chance of a player rating? I''d be interested to know how they all performed. Well done by the way for making the worst away day of the season geographically

I still feel we had enough on the field to claim the 3 points but it wasn''t to be.Its been said on 1000s of occasions but we really do need another defender. From what I could hear on the radio it sounded like both their goals were down to basic defensive errors. It''d also be nice to get another body up front (Riordan would be nice but who knows) as I''m not sure how long it''ll take DtS to adapt or Brown to properly improve. ca 1 Posted August 26, 2007 You know me I like to try and stay positive but after my trip to Hull yesterday I''m struggling to find any good points to take out of the game. I listened to Grantys interview on Radio Norfolk when I got home and he said there were lots of positives so I can only conclude that Hubby & I took a wrong turn and went to the wrong game [:)].Cureton & Brown - not their best games, but to be fair got no service from anyone Brellier & Murray - very average although appreciate Brellier might not be 100% fit and Murray only joined up with the squad yesterdayDoc & Shackell - shocking- I''d drop them both for the next game and play Dion and Spillane.Marshall - acceptable performance but too many hoof balls to little Jamie and BrownLappin - average - why didn''t they sub him and bring Chadders on?Croft - not one of his better gamesSemmy and Russell - Best two players for us who never gave up. Russel worked tirelessly and Semmy had some great attcking runs and was unlucky not to score.Dion - should have come on much earlier because for the last 20 mins we started to play football and created chances.Maybe I''ve been harsh but thats the game as we saw it. Would be interested to hear views from others who were there. Finally - Message for Grant - WE NEED 2 EXPERIENCED CENTRE HALVES - QUICKLY
InLambertWeTrust! 0 Posted August 26, 2007 CA I didnt go however listening to the radio gave me exactly the same views on the players as you. Why arent we playing well from the first minute and not the last half hour/20mins? 2 players should be arriving next week hopefully they are Riordan and a center back. If anything Doc was better than Shackell who was truly awful.I hate to sound negative but I have seen nothing so far that to suggest that we will worry the top six this season. Hull were an ordinary bunch but on the day we hardly troubled them.I can only hope the return of Hucks and Smith will add a bit of creativity to what looks a very average bunch.
