So......Derby it is then!!!

I realise that they cheated and moaned and wasted time when they undeservedly came to CR and nicked all 3 points.

But any team that finishes 8 points clear deserves to go up.

How gutted would we be if we were 4/5/6/7/8 points clear and lost the play offs!!!!!!!

So that bunch of time-wasting,cheating, cloggers Derby have stumbled their way into the premier league.

We will just have to console ourselves that a new premiership low points total will be brokwn next season.

  ...hopefully along the way Darren Moore will get released without kicking a ball in the premier league, Bywater will get dropped after conceding a hatful and Billy Davies will get sacked after getting 3 points out of a possible 45 at the start of the season.

To be fair, judged on the table after the last game, Derby were rightfully the third best team.And they were top of the table for a bit too.So technically the best team won..

Shame as the best side that I saw this season was WBA and Derby rather did like to take the idea of sportsmanship to its limits, but in the end I couldn''t get too excited about who won.  I suppose in a way it is good that the 3 relegated sides didn''t go straight back up, as it does suggest that the others still have a chance, for now at least.

So they were a bunch of gits when they came to CR, and so they might get their backsides kicked every week in the Prem, but putting that aside I would give anything for it to be us going up. The match was billed as potentially the richest game of the season, with figures of £60 million being quoted as the reward, whether that is true or not I do not know, but I suspect that Derby County will continue to invest in the team and try to give it their best shot of staying up and whilst I appreciate that it could be a huge financial gamble that goes terribly wrong I am still nonetheless a tad envious that we are not in their position. Whatever you say about them they finished 3rd, 8 points clear of 4th and were sculling around 1st and 2nd for quite a while, in my book that means over the course of the season they deserve their promotion, if others want to judge them on just one game then so be it.
