BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted January 13, 2007 According to the Daily Mirror, Aidy Boothroyd at Watford has promoted Malky Mackay to first team coach.I had hoped that Peter Grant would have got Malky as his no.2 at Norwich - and even posted to this effect a few weeks ago.Trumped again.Damn!OTBC

andy laz 0 Posted January 13, 2007 I had heard that Grant had enquired about malkies availabilty when he took over as boss but was told he wanted tocontinue playing in the prem which you cant argue with .But if Grantwas to give Dion a job on the coaching staff i would not have a problemwith that .OTBC
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted January 13, 2007 no surprises here and a real shame. Damn our previous ''great manager'' for selling him for the sake of 200K lol good buisiness so I heard at the time. At least we have Dion Dublin I guess.
Alex Harvey-Jones 0 Posted January 13, 2007 He''s in the starting line up for Watford against Liverpool today!
Evil Monkey 52 Posted January 13, 2007 I reckon even Worthy must be kicking himself about this one - appointed player-coach one day, and in the starting line up against Liverpool the next. If only he''d had the same faith that Aidy has, things could have been different... then again, he could have been poor for us in the Prem and we could have ended up blaming him for relegation, as some did with Flem, so you never know... well done, captain braveheart, any time you fancy coming back to Norwich in any capacity, you''re more than welcome!
