Back Him Or Sack Him!

Recommended Posts

Whatever happens, after these two games it''s make your mind up time for the board.

Personally I don''t think the results should have any bearing on their decision, two games means nothing whether we get six points or none.  If they don''t know whether he''s the man for the job by now, they never will. They will look pretty stupid if they back him after no points or sack him after six, but unfortunately they''ve brought that on themselves.

If they back him, it means 100% support and putting their money where their mouth is.  It means backing him until at least the end of the season.  They can only play this card once.

If they sack him they will need to get their act together in record time, or we could be in real trouble.

They also need to state publicly, clearly and unambiguously what their decision is. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  We are crying out for decisive leadership.

That''s the situation as I see it.
Any thoughts?
Personally I dont think there is any way back from this situation.

Once confidence is lost by the board and the fans its almost inevitable that the manager will go.

To me it would make more sense to sack him before the Burnley game to hopefully bring the supporters together.

Obviously that is not going to happen.

That''s exactly the problem MM

Whatever happens tomorrow, we could spend the next two weeks debating this....round and round and round we go, where it ends only Delia knows.

I thoroughly agree megson, I guess the hope is that by drawing the protestors out tomorrow in front of the cameras, the hope is that this is as bad as it gets and once the 2 games are over, everyone knows where they stand.

People who want him out have a very clear way to say so tomorrow with the red cards.  In the WO article it said that 3,000 were available.  Unless the people that get them are all sitting in the same place, they might not have printed enough to make them noticable in a 24,000 capacity stadium.

Whatever happens tomorrow, I just hope no-one gets arrested or hurt.

the way i see it is Delia is at a quandry,

Nigel is her friend and in her heart she hopes he can turn it round and we can come good so she doesnt have to do the inevitable, in her head however she knows that Worthys time has come and maybe she is trying to pluck up the courage to fire a friend?

tyhats why u shouldnt hire friends or family, it all gets messy

jas :)
