Leeds signing

Recommended Posts

Leeds have signed Sebastian Carole on a free.

Does that now leave us as the only club who haven''t changed manager to not sign anyone? The Senda-Luton deal is now done, so I''m assuming so...

So ....

If we HAD changed our manager, which everyone seems to want ....

.... we STILL wouldn''t have signed anyone yet, which everyone is currently complaining about.

Ironic, huh?

If it is SOO obvious the man has to go, why is he still here? The side we got at this moment could do very well next season IF we make this signing. (Luton''s howard; but we also need a right-mid!!). And we have this side because of NW.

Also as Mook said again (sorry i keep reffering to your posts mook, i''m not stalking ya - promise!! lol) if we did have a managerial change not only could it end in a negative out-come but that manager also wouldn''t have signed anyone which you all are complaining about.

Yes i am also very annoyed we haven''t signed the players in positions we NEED yet - but we still have about 3-4 weeks left alot could happen in that time transfer wise.

Then what''s the problem with us not signing anyone then?

A lot could indeed happen in 3-4 weeks, however the problem is that the

longer Nigel leaves it, the more players will be snapped up by other

clubs, and the less settled any players we do sign will be come the

opening day.

Southampton have signed Bradley Wright-Phillips from Manchester City.

When all we heard last season were excuses about players not bedding in and needing time to settle I think the fans have EVERY REASON to expect the board and manager to act upon the excuses they have been plying all season.

We are bloody right to expect us to attempt to sign players earlier than last season, and not to put our feet up and enjoy the world cup as Nigel Worthington commented at the end of last season.

Paul Jewell said the moment the season ended he was preparing for the next season. He has a passion I have not seen in Worthington - I don''t beleive Nigel Worthington has a passion for Norwich City - it is just a job for him.

The only time I have seen any passion from our manager is when his own job was on the line.  Only then did he get passionate on the touchline...

A cup game is just a cup game, he doesnt care if we get knocked out.  Maybe this lack of passion has worked its way through to the players??  It would explain the many passionless performances last season.

50 players have been signed in the championship so far FIFTY BLOODY PLAYERS, many of whom look like good signings for their relevant clubs.

I want any new players to have time to settle, get to know their new teammates, train with the lads, get a home sorted, get any children sorted in schools and get to know the place as soon as possible.  Thus focussing ALL of their attention to getting Norwich promoted and playing well for city, not joining in late august getting thrust into the side, having to look for a house and other stressful activities the moment they leave the training ground. Get to know teammates, and perform immediatly in a setup they are not used too.....

In life you have to learn from your mistakes to improve, At the end of last season Neil Doncaster said: "We will learn lessons from a hard season".

Well it seems to me the first lesson has not been learned.....

I would rather have us sign no body until Worthy goes..........

and I heard it on good authority on Monday that no signings at that point were imminent. I don''t know what to think!

Maybe he plans to prove us all wrong with the squad he built last season. After all Munby recently said that we have a damm good squad!

Given that two of the newly promoted teams are reportedly after Birchall (Reading and Sheff U) I doubt if we''d have much chance anyway.

" Given that two of the newly promoted teams are reportedly after Birchall (Reading and Sheff U)" Given that the same ''reportedly are after'' reported that Norwich were after Birchall I think we can put as much store in that as we can the above. We are told that players should have been signed earlier to allow for their children to find schools. Most players under 25 will not even have school aged children. Likewise rubbish about finding a house to settle into. Tty putting your house on the market, selling it and buying another in and around Norfolk in the time Worthington ''should have'' signed players and now. Of course it''s all nonsense. Nonsense as those that have a great dislike of those running our club (and our club I suspect) and are struggling to come up with any coherent attack upon the club. No attacks based on us selling one of our top players as it hasn''t happened. No attack based on the club dragging in inept lower league cast offs, as they have down the A140, as it hasn''t happened. Just endless whinges about the fact that the club doesn''t consult them on a regular basis. I wonder why.

''''Chief executive Neil Doncaster today insisted Norwich City would not be left behind in the race to snap up summer signings when he said: “We do need more players, we have a budget to spend and we will deliver those players.''''

Just a matter of time.
