The Kingsway was the pub by the bridge. And the one the other side of the road was the Jolly Maltsters and then the Clarence was round the corner by the road bridge over the train tracks. I think.

Clarence is the one, ta. Once had a Spurs fan come out of there and chuck me on the ground before nicking my scarf, he was about 6'2" and I was about 14 and 5'4" 😀

Clarence Harbour? That was away friendly and the look on more Northern fans faces at the price of beer was always a hoot!

I don’t drink before the game now, or during , only after. Over the years my haunts were - in order, Lord Raglan,  Ferry Boat, Rosary Tavern, Coach and Horses, Jubilee, Fat Cat and Canary occasionally.
