macdougalls perm 0 Posted March 12, 2006 And Shaun Carey and Cedric Anselin are "King''s Lynn Starlets" because they are nearly ten years older than they were when they were in Rioch''s team.

We still had to be in a losing position before the players actually did anything and it''s so much easier when you have nothing to lose. From what I saw the players did little from Kick-off until half-time to look like they had motivated themselves in any way. Second half was as good as I have seen from City since Southampton at home and credit has to go to the players and manager but as I say, at that point they had nothing to lose.As you say we have been inconsistent this season but yet there is still an outside chance and that is the game at level. Teams can always come from nowhere and take the last place in the play-offs. It''s really down to which of the 2 City sides we saw yesterday turns up for the remaining matches. If it''s the team from the second half we could win all the games, if it''s the team from the first half we could lose them all. I agree that 8 points can be made up but the worry is Preston still have 2 games in hand.
ZLF 335 Posted March 12, 2006 Given our form this season it feels like a fantastic result when in reality this squad shoud be getting this sort of result week in week out - it just shows how far our standards have fallen that we can get so excited by 45 mins average performance against a tense and nervous leeds. It just shows how badly we have played for the vast vast majority of the season. Most papers I have read confirm that the Waller/Adams commentary overplayed the performance with Leeds having the first half and city the second. Well done to Hughes who seemed to have a good game in all observers eyes nationally.
Chris Meadows 0 Posted March 12, 2006 we''d have to win 8 out of 8 games, i can see us getting 15pts from them but not the 24 we need

Seige mentality and all that perhaps??
