Daz Sparks 1,160 Posted January 21, 2023 It seems Wagner saw what many others were seeing, and as obvious as it looked to those, myself included, many, many times in the past, previous managers have either failed to see an obvious selection issue or chose to blunder blindly on. Fair play to Dave, he is rapidly growing on me!
yellowrider120 767 Posted January 21, 2023 In some respects Dimi waz unlucky as he has played well since getting back in. However there is not a cat in hells chance of the previous German 'manager' making that bold decision. Therein lay one of the main faults with said 'God' notwithstanding the marvellous football often produced in the Championship by said person.

He subbed Giannoulis at half-time because he was having a mare. Bringing on Mumba, who didn't do any better.

Today we were winning. Big difference. How many managers make personnel changes at halftime when leading?

But, hey, apart from all the times he actually did it - he's never done it.
vos 155 Posted January 21, 2023 Being one of many "Pinkun Experts" I was delighted to at last see a manager who could see the blindingly obvious that our only problem was the attacks coming in from the Coventry right winger who Gianoullis just could not get to grips with. Decisive action was taken at half time rather than wait until the hour was up. If Wagner continues to keep this current style and results going - what on earth will we have to talk about !!! Making such changes at half time when winning is much more unusual.
mrD66M 100 Posted January 22, 2023 Maybe there is a case to convert Giannoulis into a winger? In attack he seems to be one of our best performers, it's defensively that he falls short time and time again
