Best squad ? Worst manager?

Today I have watched 2 games on sky with my Watford mate. Watford have an average manager but have Pedro and Sarr(for now). We have a crap manager and players who are going backwards. I will give you his verdict on both squad's. "I would take Pukki, Gunn now and the Arron's from 2 years ago but that's it". He also admits they are not great this season. Who is our flair player. Who breaks the line with a bit of trickery or pace and please don't say Onel.  We have Pukki the finisher but no skill in midfield, completely workman like. I think our mountaineering idiot has given us a poor manager and an unbalanced squad. Watford turned down nearly 70 million for the pair in the summer, what could we sell our whole squad for. Before anyone says it, no I don't wish we were Watford, I just want a Norwich that will entertain me.

Cantwell, Dowell and Nunez are our creative players. Dean Smith has removed any semblance of skill from our midfield. It's hardly surprising that we struggle to unlock a stubborn defence.

Does Cantwell want to be here. The comments from smith before Swansea was very odd. Dowell is an average championship midfielder and Nunez is not ready. But yes even if they were Messi I'm sure Smith would have them on the bench.

Cantwell and Dowell were 2/3 of the attacking midfield which achieved the club's record points total at this level. The fact that Cantwell isn't playing every week is damning for Smith. We look totally devoid of ideas.

2/3 is a huge point. It's the 1/3 missing that is the problem. This is not a dig, we had to sell the player who's name shouldn't be mentioned in order to fund the squad for the prem. That went well didn't it. Cantwell hasn't been the same player for a while. He's gone down hill as fast as Dele Alli. Dowell is ok but nothing fantastic. I do think we are week in the flair department but yes smith is not helping. Is it any wonder the player who should not be mentioned struggled at Villa under Smith. He could kill Messi's skills.

Well if Smith goes this 'best squad' have now done for two managers in just over a year. I don't see it. Haven't seen anything to suggest 'best squad' all season. 

@keelansgrandad put the 2015 team up yesterday and this lot aren't as good as them.
