Jarvis and McVeigh

I notice neither of these skillful forwards has been offered a new contract yet??  In his few appearances for us Ryan Jarvis has scored the odd good goal, unyet like Crowe are we just going to let him go on a free more or less untried?? I cant imagine he is on a huge wage like Andy Hughes [8o|]??

McVeigh has been our best attacking player this season, unyet he hasnt been offered a contract??

Is shackell going to get a game??  Rehman has looked OK after a stunning debut, but surely shackell is the cheaper option in the long run?? Obviously he hasnt hit 24 yet so worthy deems him too young to play........

I just cannot understand the mentality of this club at the moment??

Totally agree.

We have had average older players playing all season rather than giving the youngsters a try. Simon charlton was playing centre mid instead of rossi j or spillanne when he is out of contract in the summer and past it. Hughes in another aging player who is no better than the youth. We also have donkey thorne when there is ryan jarvis, henderson who are young and hungry and the talented mcveigh. Rehman is average, doherty hates playing with him it seems and shackall is dumped. Not good for the future when rehaman wont be about next year. We have mcveigh and henderson 2 players for the future who can play right wing yet we bring in johansen who isnt getting any younger and play him out of position, its pathetic.I have felt that with encourasgemnt hendo is good enough to play on the wing and is harshly treated by fans. And finally we have rossi j and cave-brown who apparently are highly rated players who both play right back, yet we bring in a foreigner no more proven than the youngsters and an aging full back in louis jean who was poor for forest last year.

So in summary, i dont see why the youngsters arent given a chance and with the play offs gone  iwould love too see them playing before the end of the season.

There are even more players in the youth team potentially better than the ones you mention.,the youth team could give te 1st team a decent game what do you reckon the score would be?

At one of the meet the fans events Worthy said that there is a one year option on the McVeigh contract and they were going to try to activate it. I guess thou it depends on if WLY wants to sign his side.

We have some old players and some young players to replace them.

Charlton = Shackell

Thorne = Ryan Jarvis

Fleming = Rossi Jarvis

And McVeigh is just a good player!

I don''t think Ryan Jarvis is good enough personally! We have to offer McVeigh a new contract. It would be a travesty to let him go!!

Paul you should know by now that whilst Worthy is in charge the youngsters are never going to get a look in.  For a start they are talented, and we know what happens to talented players under Worthy.  You never know one day you might even see a team like:
