GK: Dan BARDEN (don't get me wrong, he has potential, but he's never been at Krul or even Fährmann's standard yet).
LB: James HUSBAND
LCB: Marcel FRANKE
RCB: Russell MARTIN (was past it by the time Farke got here, but an excellent player for us before then).
RB: Ben MARSHALL
LW: Philip HEISE
RW: Yanic WILDSCHUT
CM: Moritz LEITNER (well, he was great for a bit...a teeny bit).
CM: Marcel EDWARDS (loan signing that failed)
CAM: Patrick ROBERTS (another loan signing that epically failed)
CF: Nelson OLIVIERA (ego getting in way again).

Of course, only opinion, but for me McGovern is simply dreadful.  Barden looks far better already.

That's why I put my explanation in brackets, he's not reached the level of the others yet, so by definition has to be the worst. Realistically, the only other call is Angus Gunn, and he did well in that loan season.

Understandable, but as I wrote in brackets, Barden's got potential but has only just started out and realistically, we don't know his level yet. But he's not got through at Livingston much yet on loan. McGovern was proven at that level at the very least and was a decent player for Northern Ireland.

We've had our defensive issues under Farke, but I don't think the goalie position was ever much of a problem until McGovern got injured.
