SKS has been a massive disappointment, but not having an easy time and I’m not sure anyone else could have done much better. When the public see and rightly credit the Government with a successful vaccine strategy and (despite the wringing of hands by the belligerent on the other thread ) a Brexit that hasn’t had the massive down side that was predicted and promised by the opposition, it’s hardly surprising that they are supporting the Tories. The web is full of SME owners (many of whom claimed they voted for brexit), saying that it is far worse than they expected.

Under Corbyn in 2017, a man now pilloried, the Labour party upped its share of the votes. Then we had Brexit and the country went massively Tory. Corbyn resigned and the party went for BlairMkII (but without the sheer bottle of Blair to lie through his teeth). So why would anyone vote for SKS when the country already has a Tory in charge? The party is losing membership at a rate of knots. It has been decimated and we are left (no pun) with a bunch of newbies who do not have opposite policies to the Government. We are the opposition and until we act like one, no swing voter will bother with us.
Herman 9,765 Posted April 17, 2021 Looking at the numbers Labour are losing voters to the Libs and Greens and the Kippers are heading home to Blukip.
