I will give two examples from way back. 'The system went crooked the moment the banks started charging interest'. I don't know who said it, but my God it opens up the possibility of a better alternative. We went to war in the Falklands in order to protect international investors. We needed Galtieri gone as he was about to renege on Argentina's international debts. Both of these are seemingly outrageous assertions but they set a hare running, and this seems like a very good time to understand the issues a bit more. What incentive would you suggest for lending money to people you don't know?

You give me one possible 'incentive', (your word) and I promise to give you three or four in return. If you can't think of one, then fine. It means further conversation is pointless. ron obvious 1,502 Posted May 23, 2020 Well actually, I don't. And if you can't name even one then I can only assume you can't think of any.

I perhaps should have been more specific, as I was referring to banks needing an incentive to lend money, not lending (or indeed giving) on a personal level. Since they employ people to administer the distribution of money I can't see how they can avoid charging interest.
essex canary 496 Posted May 24, 2020 When interviewed in 1965 a youthful Bob Dylan offered a piece of advice to the world at large. It was always carry a lightbulb. He also wrote the following in that year: 'Where Ma Rainey and Beethoven once unwrapped a bed roll Tuba players now rehearse around a flag pole And the National Bank at a profit Sells road maps for the soul To the old folks home and the college's Does that help fill the gaps in understanding? essex canary 496 Posted May 27, 2020 I am struggling to understand how Covid19 driving would compare to drink or drug driving. Perhaps I will email Dominic Cummings.

Easy, if he felt it was impairing his vision, then he is in no fit state to drive, its as simple a concept as being entitled to something for life......aaah, I see the problem now. How did you do at comprehension st school?
