lake district canary 4,831 Posted April 19, 2019 (edited) ....we had a top class player who was rested and yet fully fit who could come in and give the team a boost on Monday...... Some tiredness showing tonight, Vrancic and Leitner well in the mix now, but Buendia has had a nice little rest and must be champing at the bit to come back and make an impact against Stoke. Should be a humdinger. Edited April 19, 2019 by lake district canary
Unthink road 158 Posted April 19, 2019 Well said ldc, just like James Caan in roller ball. Citycitycitycitycitycity Let's destroy the opposition.
Red Rufus 56 Posted April 19, 2019 If only the idiots that have spent the last few days slating Todd Cantwell will now realise how difficult it is to replace Buendia, even Mo struggled tonight trying to play in a position he is not suited to. Hopefully the negative and clueless amongst the posters will give Farke a bit more credit. We are far from being a one man team but Buendia is hard to replace as we have all seen in the last three matches.
Surfer 1,547 Posted April 19, 2019 That's the point about a team, the sum is greater than the individual parts. Like a well oiled engine built from complimentary components, you take one of those components out and it won't run as smoothly. Emi straight back into the team for me...
Midlands Yellow 4,682 Posted April 20, 2019 Buendia is the best player we have seen in a yellow shirt for 2 decades .

If Buendia has a similar successful season with us next year and we are in the Premership, you may indeed be right with this. We have been blessed with a few spectacular players over the years and he is certainly one of them. Lets hope he stays a while.
