hogesar 9,672 Posted February 3, 2018 To be fair Rogue there is a method behind that. One slip of discipline from the opposition can open a clear opportunity and its all about being patient. We saw that against Bristol City (I think) where creating passing triangles gave vrancic a clear passing opportunity out to Pinto resulting in the Maddison goal. Rogue Baboon 0 Posted February 3, 2018 But you are proving my point. Away at Bristol City they pressed high up the pitch, which created the space for the goal. The vast majority simply won’t press that high at Carrow Road, so we can knock it about all we like but the space still won’t open up
king canary 7,606 Posted February 3, 2018 There is a balance to be struck. I''ve got no time for the type of fans who shout ''get it forward'' and can''t see the benefit to keeping hold of the ball. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. Well used possession can drag players out of position and create space for attacks. However sometimes we pass up good opportunities to play keep ball. There are times when defenders are out of position and we need to exploit that. Instead we often have players taking 3 or 4 touches, slowing down the play and allowing defenders to get back in position.
wcorkcanary 4,334 Posted February 3, 2018 The answer to scoring more at home is obvious, Play Wes. He may not score many himself, but he opens up defences for fun.Would love to see stats for goals scored with Wes and without.

It''s costs and benefits and that calculation has to be made for ANY player, even our favourites.
