Baldyboy 0 Posted December 4, 2017 Well done the youngsters! Let’s hope some of them can step up and represent the first team in the near future
curious yellow 184 Posted December 8, 2017 Adam Idah looks a great prospect, at a younger level there is a Nigerian lad who got 4 goals v Man City.
curious yellow 184 Posted December 12, 2017 Idah with a ten minute hat-trick tonightWise investment by the club.
Year of the tiger 54 Posted December 12, 2017 Strange game. City were shockingly poor for 55 minutes. Should have gone 2 - 0 down. But then Barnsley ran out of gas & the young City lads took over. Idah''s third goal was brilliant ( & saved the centre back from being sent off)Will need to play much better in the first half next round. Funny where have I seen that before in the last few days. wcorkcanary 4,334 Posted December 13, 2017 Have watched Adam since he was 13, Corinthians in Cork being one of the top youth sides, we played them many times and he was always head and shoulders above the rest on the pitch. Alex Minihane, also around 16 yrs old is another v bright prospect.
Big Vince 318 Posted December 13, 2017 How can the future possibly be brighter? The AGM revealed that the club is to become a feeder club for the EPL because the Suffolk Socialists will neither sell up nor put any money in. Were money to come in, we would not have to sell these young players to survive and they could benefit Norwich City. But, instead, they will be sold off as soon as a bid comes in and so Norwich City will cease to exist as a club in its own right. It is an utter humiliation and shows that the current owners have no sense of pride whatsoever. The future can only be brighter if they quit.
Bill 1,788 Posted December 13, 2017 From today''s PinkunThe Republic of Ireland youth international only joined the Canaries as a first-year academy scholar in the summer but has already caught the attention of supporters. The 17-year-old scored a remarkable 10-minute treble in Tuesday night’s 4-1 victory over Barnsley for City’s under-18s in the FA Youth Cup third round – teeing up a home tie against Manchester United or Derby County in January. With first team head coach Daniel Farke and sporting director Stuart Webber in attendance, the Irish youngster took his tally to nine goals in 12 games for the U18s this season. “It’s really exciting for me and for everyone else that the first team coach was watching and we put in a second half performance like that,” Idah said. “It was really good, we’re feeling great.” Signed from College Corinthians, in his home county of Cork, Idah previously had a trial with Aston Villa. He scored eight goals in 10 games for the Ireland U17s and has recently won three U18 caps. “Basically I was just playing locally back in Ireland and one of the scouts came to watch one of my games and I scored a hat-trick in one of those games,” the Canaries prospect continued. “I came over here on trial and played against Peterborough and scored a hat-trick in my first game so they offered me a contract and I was really happy to join. “I scored a hat-trick recently as well against Azerbaijan in the European qualifiers (for Ireland U17s), so hopefully I can continue that and hopefully get more!”so far queue pig mince ! Guest Posted December 13, 2017 This is where the future of our club is. Many of the PL clubs are even going abroad for their babies let alone seniors so there is a great opportunity for clubs such as us to grab these hopefully future first teamers.

The club is going to have feeder status only. How are supporters meant to get excited about feeding the next young player to the EPL without us ever having a chance of getting, let alone remaining there??? Bill 1,788 Posted December 13, 2017 It is as much is how they are helped to develop. Too many at PL clubs are simply signed up and almost left. And many are rushed into senior football to plug gaps. But it is a measure of the club''s commitment that we are still finding young players like this, and also that players are joining us... given the ''outpost'' ''we are in some senses. We see it in other ways too. Note the propaganda video at the AGM. I suppose it all stems from the socialist ideology of the owners.
