Statto28 0 Posted March 13, 2016 Good evening all - massive apologies for my lack of an actual pick and activity. I can confirm that I am ok and that as is often the case, the real world managed to interpose itself slap bang in the middle of my selection plans. Many thanks 93vintage for filling in at short notice and im gutted you couldnt bring home a win for the PUPs. Apologies for causing any issues and I loo kforward to hopefully having a go once again next season

Hector Brockelbank 95 Posted March 13, 2016 Sorry. Very very late. Nutty, Can I have a home win for Benfica tomorrow night or am I too late? No worries if I am.

nutty nigel 7,536 Posted March 13, 2016 Statto.. I''m glad you''re ok. That''s the important thing. The issues just showed again how this team of PUPs is always on hand when needed. 93V... From nowhere a week ago you''re now staking a claim to win the profitability league and also still on for a useful 5/6 to give us a free go next weekend. Hector .. your selection is fine buddy. Now I tried to post this last bit earlier but when I sent it from my phone I just got the dreaded white screen and the post was lost forever..... When we got back to the Nelson yesterday my phone miraculously had a signal and I could look on live scores. By a strange quirk of fate Tilly was standing right beside me as I found the latest news from the south coast. Newport were a goal to the good and there was what I described as a confetti of yellow under Portsmouth''s name. Tilly took this quite well considering Chelle was there too enjoying the moment[;)] I mentioned that the at the next update I would find a red mark under Portsmouth''s name. Prophet I must be because after we''d been chatting amongst ourselves the shout came up that there was indeed a red card showing against the home side. It was shortly after that I had to leave and as I shook Tilly by the hand on the way out he was still proclaiming that with nearly 30 mins left the game wasn''t over.......... ca 1 Posted March 13, 2016 Glad Statto is ok, that''s the main thing.Tilly you''re in good company this week because I picked Hull [:$] so no hurry to do the tables Nuttyp.s. Us girlies like Tilly teasing us [:)] we know he worries about how clever we are [:D]
93vintage 16 Posted March 13, 2016 Ditto re statto, glad nothing seriously bad happened.Universitario finished 3-1 winners after being 3-0 up and surviving an onslaught for the final 20 minutes or so. At the age of 69 their manager must be one of the oldest to win a pups game?Nutty - yes, there''s now a very good chance of getting 5 in 6, just two home ''bankers'' left to play tomorrow evening. nutty nigel 7,536 Posted March 14, 2016 Indeed ''slim. So we get a free go next weekend thanks to 93V [Y] 38 PUPs picked last week with 26 good picks (68%). 27 options were suggested of which 18 won (67%). norfolkbroadslim 223 Posted March 14, 2016 A sterling effort from 93vintage to get 5 and a draw at such short notice.
93vintage 16 Posted March 14, 2016 They were all home games, but we just got hit by Hull drawing 1-1. That aside, I''m glad we didn''t lose any money from the pot and saw the others win quite convincingly - 6-0, 5-0, 3-1, 3-0, 4-1.There were a few which nearly made it into the final six, off the top of my head Fenerbahçe, Gillingham, Atletico, Plzen. But well done to all those who helped pick this week.
