  1. The inclusion of an away win at Stoke suggests we played well. At Chelsea, we were a mere Tettey slip up (his only mistake of the game) away from a point, or possibly three. If you deny that we were taking the game to them at the time then you''re an absolute toolbox of the highest order. Against Arsenal, we had the better of the game for a solid third of it (between 30 and 60 minutes) even Wenger, who I would imagine knows a damn sight more about football than you said this! And anyway, if you can''t see that losing to two of the top four- one of them away from home, can occur in a situation where you''ve still played well, then I refer you to my previous toolbox statement. I''ve given you my thoughts on today. It''s no wonder we''re seen as carrot crunching inbreds by the rest of the footballing world.
  2. Manchester United beat Stoke, having 19 shots and 5 on target. Liverpool beat West Brom, with 18 shots, and 7 on target Everton beat Aston Villa with 14 shots and 3 on target... and Arsenal beat Crystal Palace with 10 shots and 4 on target. Now we drew with Cardiff City, with TWENTY FIVE shots and NINE on target. So why didn''t we win? David Marshall. Simple- he was imperious in the Cardiff goal. Twist it any way you like and call for Hughton''s head- we have played really well in each of our last four games, didn''t get the rub today thanks to Marshall''s golden gloves. Those of you who have held your heads above the murky waters of trolling and calling for the manager''s head will know that we are headed for good things this season- unfortunately there''s not enough actual opinion on this forum, only those out to one-up each other. Norwich fans are lost at sea here.
  3. I''m certainly far too drunk to process whatever it is you''re even asking
  4. No, I''m merely noting by force of their own persistence those who continually jump on anything negative and never post anything positive in the slightest. Will doubtlessly not see hide nor hair of them come the end of this season. I don''t see myself as superior to any NCFC fan, but I don''t see those who are nothing but negative as NCFC fans.
  5. Lambert seems to have some voodoo over his former teams, but we are good at home even if we''re naff away. The thing about being an NCFC fan is you can get away with being forever negative, as there''s enough rough to take with the smooth. Too many people do it, it''s quite sad really
  6. Wiz is supportive of this? clearly the OP is spot on Wolfswinkel Out!
  7. Oh ye the negative. Call yourselves Norwich fans? We were outclassed by one of the five best teams in the league away from home. I''m not in the slightest bit bothered, and I back Chris Hughton to the hilt. Go on, tell me how that makes me a crud football fan for enjoying negative football. Let''s see how many of you post when we finish 9th-12th. I''m making a list of usernames already- many of whom I don''t ever expect to see again. I''m glad the Pinkun is misrepresentative of our support.
  8. Iwan sounds weird because the melody permits it to only be ''yew-aaaaaaan'' which really would sound forced what makes Bassong work is the short first syllable ''Ba'' followed by the long held ''song''. Iwan doesn''t work because it''s pronounced in reverse, it starts with a long ''yew'' and ends with a short ''an''
  9. Thanks very much Scooby, i''ve done likewise. As for the Legends suggestion- I''m all for it. Any ideas on decent names? Could have Hucks, Holt and.... (someone with two syllables, but there are many to choose from, i''m up for hearing suggestions) I initially chose Bassong as the last name because the original lyric ends in ''song'' (though I can''t remember what it is now)
  10. After an initial burst of tweets and support to McNally and others, the interest kind of subsided and I wasn''t sure how to approach promoting it anymore. I''d love for as many of you as possible to send it in to Radio Norfolk/the club/tweet McNally/tweet players....it''s the closest I''ve got to a marketing campaign, anyway. Cheers!
  11. Everton for the drop? Never mind the fact that you clearly wouldn''t know a paragraph if it rogered you sternly- that in itself null and voids your opinion. Where have I made it look like Hughton ''part''s (sic) seas''? Go on, this should be worth a laugh
  12. So the point you''re making is ....er.... I''m only really getting ''every time we lose we must realise it is because the other team have better players than us'' Jesus. Arsenal and Man Utd must have really tested our mettle with those £20m bids for Pilks and Holt last year
  13. Pant wetting meets school of thought that money spent is directly proportional to points earned in Pinkun forum shocker
  14. Huddlestone is very average- scores one long range goal every now and then but has spent the majority of his career in a fitness battle. There''s a reason why he''s at Hull. Davies is so Championship it hurts. Think he''d be vying for third choice with Bennett - he knows he''ll play at Hull but wouldn''t really get a game with Seb and Turner about. As an aside, what''s all this clamouring to drop Turner every time Martin is in form. Bassong is the best CB at the club- Turner is 2nd.
  15. I can''t talk football with pretty much anyone Norwich fan. The only respect I have for the majority of my fellow Canaries is because they support Norwich. If you want Hughton out at this moment in time, then you and I will never be able to talk football- and that suits me just fine.
  16. Let''s sack Chris Hughton. Let''s sack Chris Hughton, who bought us Bassong, our greatest defender in many years long. Let''s sack Chris Hughton, who replaced the Messiah, he took us to 12th, but then we finished higher. Get rid of the Spurs man who''s capped for his nation, whose negative football yields endless frustration. And force out the Irishman who told Holt to roam, when we beat Man United and Arsenal at home. Let''s stir up a protest at Delia the owner, for an unbeaten run topped by just Barcelona. Lets scapegoat Garrido for no apparent reason, just because we got rid of Chris Martin this season. It''s obvious Cody and Vaughan would be scoring, from the same lack of chances that make us so boring. It''s so bloody blatant our boss is a runt, cos like most of the Prem he plays just one up front. Lets jump to conclusions as quick as we can, two attempts and one goal is no good Ricky Van. All because we''ve drawn one and we''ve lost one away, to old Brucie''s Hull Tigers, who from open play Would never have scored if they''d been there all night, they''re not bad defending but up front they''re 5hite Four shots on target ain''t bad, even then, There''s no foul on Sagbo, it wasn''t a pen. We had most possession but that''s no less sore For the fact we should leave Hull with at least a draw. Without dodgy reffing we''d still be unbeaten And you Hughton outers would cease all your bleating. It''s early days yet, we''ve played two and lost one. We''re unbeaten at home, so stop jumping the gun If you think one away loss is surely the end, then you can''t argue I''m not allowed to pretend: On the basis of Everton and that game alone, we''ll go the whole season unbeaten at home. It''s acutely ironic, I''ll leave you with this: the life of a Norwich fan ain''t always bliss. Our Chris ain''t as gung-ho as Lambert, that''s true. But he''s no more negative than most all of you. Keep the bloody faith. OTBC.
  17. Blimey, ARR, Your username is not wrong my friend! Snoddy''s going nowhere, Sterling would be a terrible acquisition on loan, no end product and no end benefit for us. Having said that I do agree with some of your post, in particular if we''re ''languishing in November'' at which point I would agree CH would have to go. However to the poster who said ''one up front doesn''t work'' or whatever- please remind yourself of what formation all the successful clubs on the world stage and in the top half of the premier league are playing at the minute: 4-5-ONE. Jesus, armchair experts these days
  18. The other question you have to ask is, with Hughton knowing about Benno''s injury after the Everton game....has he actually signed Elmander as cover for both Snoddy and Wes?
  19. Thanks all for the continued support. Just wanted to clear one thing up, I KNOW it is ''scrimmage'', not ''scrummage''. However, such is the prevalence of the mispronunciation among our support that I chose to not enunciate the ''i'' vowel sound properly, leaving it halfway between ''scrimmage'' and ''scrummage'', just for those who do chant ''scrummage''....it''s a dialectal variant of the word ''scrimmage'' anyway, I don''t see why so many people get their backs up about it
  20. I hear he scored against Barnsley in a 4-0 win for Wigan, too.
  21. Fulham are unpredictable, if berbatov, hangeland and taarabt all find form they''ll be above us. I would certainly say though that Sunderland Hull Stoke Palace Cardiff are certainly all definitely worse than us, and the possibles are Villa (lest we forget that Arsenal are in disarray) Fulham Newcastle That''s how it looks to me really, anything else is a bonus, I think we''re in a fight for 8th with Southampton, Swansea, West Ham and WBA. Therefore I think 8th-12th is where we''ll be. Sure, it''s vague, but that''s just how I think it''ll pan out.
