Just that really. No invention, creation, no nothing. Unless we count Redmond running without an end product as ''something''. Hull are probably nailed on to finish bottom. We''ve not even managed to carve them open once. Fer to me, looks ideal but in a central midfield role. Not behind the striker. And the lad Garrido is shocking at full back. And don''t get me started on Howson. Clearly has it in his locker, but rarely arsed about getting it out. Hooper and Snoddy will make a difference, but logic/my brain tells me that Hughton won''t be here for the long haul. You don''t sanction £25m of spending, without expecting to beat the likes of Hull.

Come in No10 your time is up.

Found this video of him on youtube, created by a big Barnsley supporter by the looks of it, who creates a lot of videos for them and has his own blog. I still believe he''s the real deal. Saw enough of him myself living up North, and attending the odd Barnsley game with a friend there. Whether he can cut it at this level remains to be seen, but I''d like to see him given at least that opportunity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1SFBTPMsz4 -
He was signed by Hughton. No idea why people suggest otherwise. And he''s travelled with the first team every game since returning to CR, as part of the matchday squad (before it''s reduced to 18). I think he''ll be given a chance to shine in pre-season. Bit silly to sign an injured player on a 4 year deal only to then discard him after he''s finally got fit. This season was always about rehab. He''s 23 this Summer, plays with both feet, and was the standout midfielder in the Championship before his injury. I may be wrong, but I''d expect him to be here next season, and in the squad. Fox will be let go this Summer. Just my opinion.

If Pilks is out on Saturday.........

Johnson on the wing? Wow. But no thanks. Would rather see us go for it for once. Been hoping for that for weeks. Give Becchio and Butterfield a go. -
Norwich fans not from Norwich?

Born in Norwich, spent a while in Peterborough, now living in rural Yorkshire because that''s where my farm is... Always a Canary, though. -
Time to take the occasional risk?
The Farmer replied to swjf50's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''m not sure Hughton does ''risky'' I''m afraid. I agree with everything you say, though.. If only we had a player who was renowned for shooting from distance............... -

I''ve been lucky enough to see a fair bit of the lad this last couple of years - long story. And on form/fit he''s a much better player than the likes of Howson, Johnson etc. I was really excited when we signed him, but knew he''d take some time to get back up to speed. Perhaps the situation we''re in doesn''t lend itself to ''trying'' out certain players, but I''d be keen on him at least making the bench. He''s got great feet, doesn''t give the ball away, can shoot from practically anywhere, and has great vision. All in all, I''d suggest he''s the type of playmaker we need. But as I say, bit of a risk at this stage of the season.
If he''s that good then clearly we will have a hell of a player on our hands - if he is "much" better than the likes of Howson and Johnson. It''s alright saying he doesn''t give the ball away, he can shoot from anywhere etc but he hasn''t done it in the Premier League yet. He''s going to find it much harder and the chances are that he will look a much more ordinarily player than you believe him to be.
With living up here the last few years and a good friend of mine being a season ticket holder in the exec boxes at Oakwell, I admit I''m slightly biased. I went along to around 10 games at Barnsley last season and this kid had the lot. So much so that had he not got crocked by Michael Brown he would have gone on to sign for a bigger club than us, in all honesty. So when I heard that we''d got him I was delighted. I saw him against Doncaster at CR in the cup and he looked decent, but I think he picked up a slight knock which set him back. I''ve spoke with supporters at Bolton and Palace about him and they were bemused at his lack of game time. Said he was just finding his form/sharpness. In fact, after being instrumental in Palace''s last 2 victories he was bizarrely dropped by Holloway and Palace haven''t won or scored a goal since... no wonder the lad refused an extension down there. But as I say, it''s a risk for us to be blooding him at this stage of the season, but I would think a place on the bench is very possible. As for Johnson and Howson, they''re both very limited players. Just my opinion, but if we were to stay up again this term then we really need to be improving in that area for next year - our lack of creativity is our main problem. Something the boy Butterfield brings to the table.

Do we deserve to go down?

If we finish in the bottom 3, then yes, we deserve to go down. I think our home form will see us right though. -
