1. He''s the modern day Fabian Wilnis - the one we really love to hate.I think he probably will get a Premier League move in the next year or two though. He looks a solid 1-on-1 defender, and has good pace. Ipswich will do well to hold on to him in the long run.
2. I''d probably give it to Redmond. Two assists and a goal in that second half. That''s the Redmond we need to be seeing more often.Bassong was very good, Tettey solid as always, and despite maybe making more of an effort on the goal we conceded, I thought Whittaker had yet another good game.
3. Log-in seems to be disabled at the moment (probably whilst they get everything prepared for the mad rush this evening). You''ll have to insert your Friends & Family customer numbers after 6pm I reckon when they open it up again.
4.
The only problem being the draw. Then no one really wins.
You could just bet on Boro to lift the trophy in that case, which is 11/10. (Norwich are 8/11)
5. This should give us a rough idea of where seats are situated for each of the five categories.I think I''ll opt for Category 2 in the pink (if we get there, of course).
6.
Has Ruddy saved any penalties this season?
He saved Peter Whittingham''s penalty against Cardiff at Carrow Road.
7. I''ve never been a fan of it, particularly as nothing has really been achieved when a team has only won a play-off SEMI final. Brentford fans even did it when they got into the play-offs.Saying that, I think it''s a pretty safe bet that our fans will pour onto the pitch on Saturday should we emerge victorious. I daresay a chunk of the away support may attempt to do the same if the worst happens and they beat us...
8. How do we think Olsson would fare? I reckon he''d be the type of player to open his body and try and stick it in the top left.I could imagine Redmond dragging his wide.We should stick Cam McGeehan on the bench. He''s got a history of netting pressure penalties as we know
9. Ruddy saved well from Peter Whittingham''s penalty earlier this season.Funnily enough, young Declan on the bench has always had a reputation of being top drawer at saving pens. Remember him coming on against West Brom in the Prem and saving one, and I think he saved a load for the youth team too. Ruddy would be fine though. I''d rather have him in goal for a shootout than the random bloke Ipswich have got.And for the record, my five (in this order) - Hooper, Wes, Jerome, Dorrans, Howson. No idea how many of them would be on the pitch at the end of 120 minutes though. If one of them isn''t there, add Johnson onto that list.I''d back Whittaker to roll one into the corner of the net as well.Wouldn''t be confident of Bassong netting, and I reckon a Tettey penalty would end up somewhere near Thorpe Road.
10.
A 90 minute show (with commercials) to show all the goals from the 3 leagues? Blink and you miss it highlights then.
The BBC version is usually just over an hour I think, so I expect in terms of actual highlights/goals the two shows won''t differ too much in that respect.
11. If you take all of the current season ticket holders, plus those on the waiting list, plus those who would buy a season ticket if they didn''t have to put money down to join a waiting list, plus those who may feel compelled to sign-up for a season ticket due to wanting to be involved in a ''new & improved'' higher-capacity stadium, I think we''d push 30,000 season ticket sales. Add in some general individual match ticket sales, plus 2,000/3,000 away fans, then 35,000 is achievable. 40,000 would be a push. We may manage a near 40,000 sell-out for games against the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League, and any derby matches with Ipswich of course, as there would be an increase in casual fans wanting to attend, but 40k would be a struggle to fill on a regular basis I think.
12. A surprising inclusion, but well done Russ.Amazed Johnson isn''t there.
13.
need to play the kids/b team/2nd string for the final game, let the first team rest up before play offs
Agree 100% - IF we have no chance at all of a top two finish. If there''s a glimmer, we go out all guns blazing with our strongest available side. But I expect Bournemouth will win on Monday, so the Fulham game will probably just be all about who we''re playing in the play-off''s, rather than whether we''ll be in them.
14. Due to their GD, Bournemouth are effectively promoted if they manage to win on Monday. We''ll just have to hope they slip up and it goes to the final day.
15. What an absolutely ridiculous season.Whatever the eventual outcome, we should be thankful we''ve been a part of it.
16. Kitchen sink time. It needs to be thrown.
17. Not concerned about the Boro game yet. A draw is no different than a defeat for them from our point of view. We just need them to not win.
18. Class from Ruddy. The big man saves us.
19. Everyone else is doing their bit. Just need to try and do ours now, somehow, with 10 men...
20. We have to win now. Fulham doing us a big favour. Three at the back? A draw is no good.
21. We''ll need to bring a striker on. Jerome or Hooper on. Wes or Redmond off.
22. Well that''s Grabban suspended for Fulham and both legs of the play-off semi''s then. FFS.
23. We can still finish 5th actually. It would mean us losing against Rotherham and Fulham, with Derby winning their last two fixtures, with a goal difference gap of 6 being overturned in the process.I''d say it''s rather unlikely though....
