  1. I want to see Bielsa in the Premier League. I want to see his system with players who have the ability to make it work
  2. Always loved Russ, didnt deserve the end to his career here that he got
  3. Reminds me of Paul Ince's comments about Jesse Lingaard
  4. Russ clearly cared. Interesting he was one of the first ones out under Farke
  5. “I always believe in telling the truth and trying to be as transparent as possible. We didn't lie. On day one I said this club was in a mess and would take some sorting out. “During last year there was a lot of pain, but we said that pain was going to come and when Daniel was getting a lot of stick, it was a case of give the guy a break – he had inherited a ridiculous wage bill, a ridiculously aged squad, a horrendous culture. “I said when we appointed him we've got the best coach in the league and nothing has ever changed my mind on that. Even last season, the work he did every single day was incredible and we're extremely fortunate to have him. Just wondering what people thought of these comments, particularly 'a horrendous culture'. Anyone able to elaborate on what he is referring to there?

  7. Not a quote, but we all facepalmed at the pink away dressing room. Makes you wonder...
  8. I wasnt there. But speaking as an armchair fan, my reaction to getting over the line was relief, not pandemonium. We've been telling ourselves for months now we're the best team in the division, but after a winless run (yet still unbeaten so is it really a wobble?) we made it hard for ourselves. Im sure if we'd sneaked it out of nowhere on the last day there'd have been a more ecstatic celebration. I think the feeling is that we should hvae sewn this up weeks ago, so the confirmation felt overdue, and just a relief that we hadnt thrown it all away
  9. If only all the teams playing Leeds hadnt been playing their cup final, and we hadnt been jammy b*stards against whom other teams didnt turn up. Remember, without Pukki's goals we'd be mid-table!
  10. Surely the squad couldnt have had no faith in him by the second game of the season, after scoring on his debut? He was still the hot-shot coup of the season at that point, and a large number of his Lisbon goals were penalties
  11. This calls for a Delia's Mum moment...
  12. There's still some pant wetting to be done about the title!
  13. Thank **** for that! Point against the Villains will assure the title
  14. If Blackburn scored now it would definitely be a 'Quit game before saving' situation
