This is going to be a very interesting situation to watch unfold, Its like a big game of poker and cully and karsa are the chips an red face and mcnally have the cards in hand and we''ll see whos pockets these chips end up in at the end of the *pre season. I dont think mcnally will mind where they are next season. We can put them into our setup OR is villa pay into the pot they can have them and as i say i doubt very much where they end up matters to Mcnally. Its going to be great to watch this duel unfold over the coming weeks
pre season it should read DAMN edit button

I can see alot of this going on, The decission to hold the euros in these two countries is a joke. Theyre very backwards countries in europe for this day and age. anyway i cant wait to watch the first two games tonight... OTBC -
I''m still about but I''ve been sucked into the vast forum that is twitter. My number 1 choice when Lambert jumped ship. He took over both Newcastle & Birmingham after relegation with both clubs in a deep mess. With Newcastle he got a decent group of players back on track & won the Championship before stabilizing them in the PL. With Birmingham he lost 14 senior players, the club was/is a mess financially & with no money almost won promotion, whilst performing well in Europe & playing good football. He''s an intelligent man with a good tactical brain by all accounts & likes to improve players on the training pitch. Seems like the best possible man to BUILD on what has already been achieved by Lambert. He won''t overhaul things but like Lambert would have done this summer, will bring in new players. In a way having a fresh perspective & new ideas could be a blessing.
Excellent post cott are you still on footymad?? i stopped going on once they changed the format of it, it became difficult to access on my phone? is it still a good crack on there?
title says it all really? can he take us to europe. I personally think he can. Next season i think will be probably the weakest premier league in its history so no reason that we couldnt get 7th. Also i think hughton will have an added incentive to get into europe via the league and fa cup as he had it with birmingham last year. i know this topic will soon be slated by people sayin we dont want to be in europe, to many games etc etc, but seriously if you sy that you need your head testing.
The weakest in years i doubt that some how i think its going to be one of the strongest in years, the 3 teams coming up are going to spend big due to there backers. Just wait for the ricky lambert s just like Grant Holt quotes all season

Fictional poll, If say a russian millionaire offers to buy delia out and spend 50 million on players, should we SELL or STICK as we are i''d say stick as were almost debt free and were doing it what i consider to be the right way other may feel differently tho. So SELL or STICK

''''Triffic fans'' Almost debt free Great team spirit oh and i support them [;)] -
feel less resentful towards Lambert after watching the press confrence earlier. He was polite about us and i think he knows hes made a bad decision the chief exec was skirting round the money questions etc. Mind you id love to see villa go down this season how nice it would be to see Lambert on the football league show again for 2mins on a saturday night [:)]
I don''t think we can draw any conclusion. This is typical of Lambo''s sense of humour. We will never know the reasons for him leaving but despite everything, there was a mutual respect between Lambo and Holt. Until now I was convinced he wouldn''t follow him to Villa but .....
Did you notice none of the journos laughed when he said it lol bet he felt a tit after
