Difference between us and the great
QHcanary replied to Bradwell canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
" If you''re going to play four attacking players away from home then you will need two big performances from the other midfielders. Fer is the complete player for me. Can mix it, win the ball, good in the air, good finisher and play a great pass. With Johnson you''ll know what you''re getting. He''s the insurance. He''s the one that allows the others to play. I would imagine his team mates rate him higher than the fans." Johnson frustrates the hell out of me. His value to the side is obvious, but at times he seems to overestimate his own ability. He''s a master of the art of over hitting passes, and even his short passing can be horribly sloppy at times. We often lose the ball during a period of controlled possession due to his poor decision making. The long cross field pass vs Swansea that sailed 10 yards into the city stand was a perfect example. He has his best games when he''s winning the ball and playing it simple. When he gets over ambitious with his passing moves break down all too often. -
"genuine offer, I have got a driveway and it will be empty sunday. I live a 20 minute walk from Carrow Road. as its Christmas you can park in it for nothing, if you can get there in time for the game let me know by private message and i will give you the details." ...and this, boys and girls, is what''s great about the Internet. I''d probably have offered the same if I still lived at the end of carrow rd.

"15 quid for another cup no show seems steep to me should be free after the Luton debacle last year. Hughton out messiah back" You''re a troll, but I''ll give you some of the attention you seem to crave. I''ll say it slowly, seen as you seem quite thick. J u s t. Beating West Ham could relegate us............
QHcanary replied to ***'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
This whole thread is just one big set up so Wiz can say "I told you so" at the end of the season. He, like the rest of us, has absolutely no clue what would have happened had Chris Hughton been sacked. It''s kind of a no lose situation for him now, in his own head. If we''re relegated, he''s right. If we stay up he can say he''s pleased we did, but he still hates Hughton and its despite him that we survived. Not, in part, because of him. It''s just an egocentric flight of fancy. -
"The way to determine who''s better between 2 teams is to let them have a match. That''s been done 3 times." By that rationale, Cardiff and Sunderland are better than man city. Stoke are better than chelsea and we, on balance of recent results are better than or just as good as spurs and Everton.

It''s taking points from a relegation candidate and palace will still be nailed on faves for the drop. Not a bad score line for us at all.

"Everthing about you is 2nd hand Chops..............my 2nd hand posts........my second hand signature. Cheap pound shop Chops." Look, if you don''t want the embarrassment of having old posts dragged up, the answer is to have an opinion and stick to it. If you change your mind then have a reason other than it suits your argument better to change it. Simple really.

Really chuffed for super Chrissy...........should still be here imo.
What a difference a year makes....
If we have to rely on the convicted thug Martin................then God help us![:''(]

Hahahahabahahabahahabahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Jesus Christ....GET IT OUT. Bassong nearly gives me a heart attack about 5 times a game.

"By what reason or measure should we be paying over £1m for the ''pleasure'' of having Amander here on loan after we sold Martin AND Vaughan for 700k!? Is that good business????" No, not really, but hindsight is great, isn''t it. Plenty if people thought elmander was a decent enough acquisition when we got him. The fact that is isn''t really working out doesn''t make it the wrong choice at the time. Did we pay a fee of £1m, or is that wages? If its wages it''s a bit disingenuous to quote sale price for the 2 players and not include their wages. Vaughan, other than a good pre-season spell was hardly ever fit. I didn''t blame the club for off loading him. He was also desperate to leave. He went on the score 14 in a whole championship season. Hardly setting the world alight. Admittedly it was from 33 games, so a decentish strike rate, but he missed 13 league games, which suggests to me he still struggled with fitness. Chris Martin never looked any better than elmander in the prem.

Two penalties. Just saying what, exactly? We should have kept him? He never showed anything in his time in the prem that made anyone think he was good enough at that level.

"Please explain why it''s b****** id love to hear it." It changed plenty, and you know it. It was the difference between potentially being in he relegation zone after tonight, and there being no chance of that. As it is it''s the difference between us being precariously close to the bottom 3 and being assured that we still won''t be there after the west brom game, whatever the result. I have been tipped over th edge of wanting him gone tonight, but if he stays and we go on to stay up comfortably then I''m happy to be proven wrong. That won''t be the case for many on here. They''ll never, ever change their minds. Well, all except one.

"So I go back to the original headline, the palace win changes nothing. Same result, same old Hughton mistakes." Are you still spouting this bollocks?
QHcanary = Man City have a poor away record.......
I know. I''m not daft. I just don''t think there''s any weight in the "Liverpool lost to hull" argument. There have been loads of funny results this season. Liverpool didn''t really turn up against hull. -

It''s got to be that he doesn''t want to risk hooper getting injured for west brom. I don''t agree with it, but its the only explanation to me. As if on cue, hoopers on. It is too late though. -

Man city lost to Cardiff and Sunderland. -
There''s a match thread. Can''t you just keep it in there? Does it really need a new thread?

Hang on. Watching the highlights, He wasn''t unmarked for the 2nd. It was just an unbelievable finish. Poor anticipation and marking of gerrard.
whoever got the assist just jogged in completely unmarked for the assist though
It was Gerard at the front post, and I''m pretty sure I said that. Ah, I did. It was in the post you quoted. Without reading every post back, I''m not sure anyone has been particularly pro Hughton. There''s just been a lot of people agreeing that there isn''t a great deal Hughton can do to prevent any of the goals. No Changes at half time is confusing. Not throwing the kitchen sink at it when the game is all but lost is probably the criticism of Hughton I agree with most. -

Now don''t get me wrong here. Going in at half time like this is dreadful, but anyone claiming we''ve been playing defensively, or for a 0-0 is off their heads. I''m not sure what you can do about the first, but the defending for the second left a lot to be desired, and Bennett for the third could have done better. What Hughton can really do to prevent any of those goals is beyond me. Does ANYONE expect him to hit it from 45 yards and it fly in like that? Did he tell the players not to mark gerrard and Suarez from corners? Bad results are ultimately the managers fault, but Luis Suarez playing like this is the absolute perfect situation to everyone that hates Chris Hughton. He''s scored 3 world class goals from 3 attempts. Unbelievable really. I really don''t understand not playing hooper though. That one genuinely has baffled me.
