1. Every day in one form or another it is mentioned that the board made a mistake by not sacking Hughton earlier but its happened and we cant turn back the clock so lets move on. Even if we sacked Hughton we may still have gone down, West Ham were in a similar situation and their fans called for the managers head but they stuck by him and they stayed up. Thankfully the board didn''t let hughton panic buy in January which would have left us with a QPR situation by going down and having players on even bigger wages.
2. My thinking behind this is a manager out of work would probably be signed and sealed now. The club are probably in the process of negotiating a compensation deal and that is likely to be the hold up.
3. According to a few sources after showdown talks today with the owner? Would you want him back
4. We were told within a week and announcements are rare at weekends so will it be tomorrow?
5. Sorry! I thought I would just add to the list. Although this is the most unrealistic of all!!!
6. I keep seeing a sports car going round Norfolk with the letters RDM on the plate, he''s definitely got it. Then I woke up, strong changes are that discussions are taking place away from NCFC premises to avoid the media.
7. I live Phelan and think he could be good, but he may be too much of a risk. Every manager needs a good assistant but not all good assistants make good managers
8. How do we get promoted? Simple we win more games than at least 22 other sides in the division
9. I think he has potential to follow in Dave Stringers footsteps if he can work with the 1st team for a couple of years
10. A lot of negativity on the board so lets look at the positives 1. 4 years ago we were in league 1 2. Nobody expected us to be promoted to the premier league that quickly 3. We have had 3 seasons in the premier league nobody expected us to last 1. 4. We are out of debt for the 1st time since the 90''s and in a lot stronger financial position than after our other 2 relegations from the premier league. 5. Ok we didn''t spend in January but this means we are not in a QPR situation with additional players on over inflated wages. 6. We are financially strong enough to retain players under contract should the board / manager wish. 7. Lamberts doing an abysmal job at Villa and will probably be sacked before Christmas if not in pre season. 8. We should win a lot more games next season 9.We get to thrash Ipswich next season
11.
The hapless fools not only paid Birmingham millions in compensation for hapless and his feckless team we also paid millions to get rid of him. .
The hapless fool was number one choice for many fans, it just didnt work out
12.
A similar record, and now similar noises for the future. Here''s hoping he has a child who can set up a Facebook campaign, as that might just swing it.http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/neil_adams_has_a_taste_for_more_after_jumping_in_the_premier_league_s_deep_end_at_norwich_city_1_3585113
Gunn team at bottom end of of champ Adams team at bottom end of prem Gunn lots of games against all positions Adams 5 games 4 from top 6 in prem Hardly a comparison is it?
13.
The club have shot themselves in the foot by opening the voting to social media. Every plastic with a smart phone given free reign to express their valueless opinion. I have long held the view that voting should be restricted to season ticket holders only in a postal ballot. The informed views of this loyal band alone should decide the winner of the Barry Butler trophy.
And what about club members are they not loyal? There are a lot of people who cannot have a season ticket for various reasons
14. Does anyone know which players actually have these in their contracts. I know some players may want to go should we be down but without one and if they feature in the managers plans why should we let them go? After all I think we are financially stable for 1 season at least.
15. daft as it sounds if he does stay and we are relegated he will probably do well The top division in Portugal despite its UEFA rank isn''t that great - he would probably adapt to the champ quite well and would have a massive confidence boost
16.
Agree with the OP.Relegation will be far different than any we''ve previously experienced. We''re debt free, have a huge season ticket holder base and a big wad of parachute money to spend. I also can''t believe that the Chief Exec won''t have inserted a clause meaning hefty player pay cuts in the event of relegation which will ease the admittedly big wage bill considerably. The main concern will be in getting flops like RVW off the payroll but someone might fancy him and one or two others on loan if all else fails. The parachute money drops considerably after two years so if we''re going to go back up it needs to be sooner rather than later. I think we will and should we go down this season I''ll be very disappointed if we''re not in the top six this time next year.We might even manage to win a couple of games on the bounce too....
Who knows with the right boss in the championship RVW could score shed loads
17. I''m sure if you want to cash in your season ticket there is a big enough waiting list, and someone else will happily have it from you
18. Sadly it looks like relegation is now a certainty but we have got to look ahead. This is a club that has had 3 seasons in the prem yet nobody expected us to last 1. Not that long ago we were in the 3rd tier and been thrashed by Colchester and Outplayed by Brentford. Since then we have turned the corner rapidly and reached the prem well before planned and finally cleared all of our debts made by chase and sensibly not overspent so we won''t end up in administration like many who have been relegated before us. Should we go down there is no reason why we should lose many of our chosen players if they are under contract unless they have release clauses. We need good guidance and with strength there is no reason why we should bounce back, maybe Adams isn''t ready to guide us yet perhaps he need a spell in the senior coaching staff 1st. McNally shouldn''t go it''s thanks to him we are in the prem and maybe Hughton should have gone earlier but that''s a difficult call west ham were talking for their gaffers head and yet they chose not to sack him and they look safe now. We have plenty to look ahead to in the next few years keep the faith.
19. Tend to agree but Dave stringer came from managing youth team. A 4th and 5th place finish and 2 fa cup semi finals not a bad record considering chase sold anyone good!
20. Seeing the state they are in Spurs manager
21. It will be somebody already at the club they won''t draft anyone in at the moment
22. Do you think Adams has potential to be our next manager after all Dave stringer did it and got us to 4th and 5th place and 2 fa cup semis or do you think it''s too much of a risk long term. If short term I hope he retains a role with the club
23.
Is that the same Ewan Chester that bought us Tettey, Fer and Olson ?Just saying......... I think Hoops has proven himself a little, needs more ghouls Neal but will come good. Now its time to see what RvW can do. Im going to have a cheeky punt on a RvW goal for saturday I think.
I still think that in the right style of play Rvw could do a good job for us.
24. Can''t stand Watson hopefully he''s gone soon
