  1. Why is Pukki not taking penalties...has he missed some?
  2. Didn’t take long for Tettey to misplace a pass........ He needs to get back to his pre-injury form......quickly.....
  3. Six QPR players booked in injury time - must be some sort of record. Begs the question why the other five didn’t get ‘stuck in’........
  4. Cheating b’stard....Gayle should have been booked for diving.
  5. Last season, Fulham lost just one game from the 16th December to the end of the season - the final game against Birmingham (had they won, they would have achieved automatic promotion). Fulham went on to defeat Derby and Aston Villa in the play-offs to secure promotion to the PL. Imagine the morale in the squad, and the sense of achievement, to go so long unbeaten and then to win the play-offs. In the summer Fulham spent £112m on new players. With a new manager long since in charge, Fulham started on Saturday with just three players who lined up in that play-off game at Wembley - Mitrovic, Ream and Odoi. Four more of that Wembley squad were on the bench. There were eleven changes to the play-off squad. So for an outlay of £112m, Fulham have won just 4 from 26 games, losing 17. They are currently 8 points adrift from safety (9 if you include their dreadful goal difference). Norwich have surprised most of us this season, so as far as I'm concerned, if they were to get promoted, next season in the PL would amount to a 'free-hit'. That would mean giving the majority of the current squad a chance to prove themselves in the PL. If the likes of Aarons, Lewis and Godfrey are being scrutinized by PL scouts, then they should be good enough to play in the PL for Norwich. No silly money wasted on 'big transfers'. It is far more satisfying picking up players for 'peanuts' and proving others wrong.Save funds for future 'rainy' seasons. Sticking with Farke regardless of the results. The entertainment, effort and style served up on a weekly basis by the current crop of players deserves continuity next season in the PL should promotion ensue.
  6. This fixture stood out for me as a potential banana-skin, as they appeared to be getting players back from injury and are starting to find a bit of form, I was somewhat surprised to see they haven’t won at home since December 15th, and that would be against teams with far less ability than Norwich. Rival supporters are starting to believe there is only one automatic promotion place up for grabs, so a win Wednesday will really help to reinforce their belief.
  7. Where do you start with this guy? Our young defenders are deservedly getting plenty of plaudits, but Buendia’s consistency of performance has been excellent. He must be Norwich’s most fouled player this season, but (apart from late on today, maybe) just gets up and gets on with it. Creativity, drive, assists, work-rate, the odd goal, tackling, confidence - he doesn’t seem to have a weakness. Possibly adapted to English football quicker than any other foreign player that has signed for Norwich City? Does he bring a smile to the face of any other City supporter whenever he plays?
  8. Yet another Norwich City player seemingly improving game on game. Not only was he a colossus today, he showed terrific maturity in the role of captain. Can’t see him losing his place or the armband anytime soon.
  9. Sweet! Sharp is gutted... Wilder must be apoplectic.... ,
  10. I can’t imagine they will be this bad on May 5th,
  11. Villa are appalling, So much for a Dean Smith revolution.
  12. Does Max Aaron’s have a bad performance in him? These damn transfer rumours have re-surfaced even with the transfer window now shut. Surely £15m is just a starting point of his worth? If Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal are all interested then that must raise the price by £5m? If Norwich win promotion then that must raise the price by another £5m. So I would say £25m for a young player, untested in the PL, would be fair value.
  13. Just to put Ipswich Town’s plight into the mix :- 180/16 Avg - 11.25 Little to no chance of escaping relegation.
  14. It has been noted that Norwich have now played many of the top teams twice, and their remaining fixtures look favorable (on paper, at least). The following figures add the league positions of the teams yet to play, so the higher the figure the better! Norwich City 246/16 Avg - 15.37 Derby County 242/17 Avg - 14.23 Leeds United 221/16 Avg - 13.81 Birmingham City 213/16 Avg - 13.31 Sheffield United 209/16 Avg - 13.06 WBA 221/17 Avg - 13.00 Middlesboro 216/17 Avg - 12.70 Hull 196/16 Avg - 12.25 Bristol City 193/17 Avg - 11.35 Aston Villa 173/16 Avg - 10.81 Conclusion 1!) I have too much time on my hands. 2) Norwich have far and away the best fixtures on paper. 3) I wouldn't be backing Villa for a Top Six spot. 4)Fingers crossed for a good FA Cup run from Derby, and to a lesser extent WBA.
  15. "Play offs at best! Clueless manager and name one game away where we have played like Norwich did last night at Leeds? Composed, good on the ball and ruthless! We spend 150 grand to go to Dubai and were shocking at Bolton against a team who are absolutely dire - same mistakes every game - same poor selections - same poor subs! " Seeing it more and more on oppo sites.... This one from the side in 4th spot. City's performance at Elland Road has certainly left an impression. The TEAM are playing so well. no weak performances, excellent replacements on the sidelines, a run of bad performances/results just don't look possible. An odd dodgy result maybe, but to have the momentum going into February, with almost a complete squad at hand puts us well and truly in the driving seat....
  16. It is disappointing to see both Murphy twins struggling to establish themselves in the Premier League. It was rumoured that after buying Jacob, Benitez was considering going after Josh as well. With just three goals between them so far, you have to wonder whether they would have been more effective if they had ended up at the same club. Anyhow, with a rumoured £23m pocketed, and with Hernandez and Buendia more or less their direct replacements, Norwich City have arguably orchestrated one of the best pieces of transfer business in the history of the Championship.
  17. Robbie Savage would prefer Leeds United, Derby county, Birmingham City or Aston Villa in the Premier League than Norwich City. Two are former clubs, but Leeds and Villa aren’t. Other than being a complete to$$er, what are his credentials for football punditry?
  18. 'It was a privilege to watch the performance of champions this evening. Whether the budgies do end up as champions or not that was a truly superb display of football ending with a new club record of 13 away games without defeat. When you remember that they had three academy players in the team and another on the bench the future of East Anglian football looks to be in safe hands. Just a shame those hands are theirs not ours. ' White flags flying high at TWTD.......
  19. Not clever - and unlikely to be a ‘put a sock in it’ message. Certain goal celebrations have become irksome, and running at opposition fans with your finger to your lips could be interpreted as inciteful. Far more worthy of a booking than ripping your shirt off in celebration.
  20. What a w’nker....... who brings a f’king spare sock out with them to stick on their hand and act a prat? Bloody shame it didn’t have to stay in his pocket for ninety-five minutes..... Why can’t he just do a somersault like classy scorers?
  21. We are currently playing without three key players - Klose, a rejuvenated Tettey, and Leitner. As well as the replacements are filling in, the return of these three can only strengthen the team. Holding onto second place under these circumstances has been very commendable.
  22. Unfortunately for them, their key bright young players belong to other clubs. Take Wilson, Mount and Tomori out of their squad and they would struggle.
  23. Derby through - excellent opportunity for Shearer and Linneker to be at their condescending best
