  1. Didn’t Leitner fall out with Farke about November 2019. Farke said Trybull was the type of player who is not good around the changing room when he’s not playing and with Drmic we just wanted to go in a different direction?
  2. Again in the PL he scored as many as he contributed to goals conceded I’d have though. Poor clearances, weak tackles, dribbling in the wrong area, wasteful passes etc. That’s why no one has snapped him up and I don’t see teams queuing up to purchase him neither in January.
  3. A lot of players get lost in a better team as better players get in before them and they never get a chance. Buendia is exceptional and would grab the opportunity in my view. Cantwell wouldn’t have a great enough impact to command a regular slot based on current form. I agree Pukki, Krul, Buendia, Aarons would do better in a better team. I don’t think you could say the same about the others at the moment. Cantwell may make it and he’s on a journey. Hopefully another stint in the PL with Norwich will sort the men from the boys.
  4. Don’t forget all the iFollow fees when appropriate.
  5. I was wondering if the board have told Farke to take the cup more seriously (in a nice way) as the prize money will come in handy if we’re losing £25m a season due to COVID? I read somewhere that the prize money is something like £60k plus £35k TV money. This pays a few bills and I would have thought was a bonus to the club. I appreciate we had a good run last season but I’d have thought that in an ideal world Farke would have played a second string and bailed out of the cup ASAP to keep the players fresh for the EFL run in.
  6. I would sub Eadie for Ruel Fox. We’d have two left wingers otherwise.
  7. Don’t get me wrong Cantwell may well flourish under Farke’s tutorship over the next couple of years but he miles away from being a PL starter at present hence the lack of interest.
  8. Buendia is head and shoulders above Cantwell and has been since day one when he walked into Carrow Road. Buendia, I think he’d thrive more in a better side due to his attributes whereas Cantwell would be lucky to start for any PL team. Hence why Cantwell was talked about for £15-20m and we’re talking about Buendia for £40m.
  9. If that's the case then Liverpool or Man City would have broke the bank to sign him. He may well get there if he tweaks his game but on current viewing and in my opinion he flatters to deceive and that may well be why no PL team has taken a gamble on him.
  10. Cantwell has potential, is far better than he was 18 months ago but he still leaves me underwhelmed (at the moment). For the occasional great piece of play there is far too much careless play and play acting. It’s a team game and in a lot of cases he would be better to release the ball earlier to someone else rather than keep trying to over do it by trying to dribble or flick a ball past one too many players. I’m sure the dribble and the flicks will work on the odd occasion and will look world beating on a Todd Cantwell highlights reel. But the highlights reel won’t show the regular loss of possession and needless pressure put on our defence as a result. I’m sure he’ll learn when to dribble when to lay off, when to break quickly and when to put his foot on the ball. When he does he’ll be 10x the player he is now.
  11. Culverhouse was the brains of the outfit. As soon as partnership split Lambert had been found out.
  12. Barden had a great game today. Maybe he’s the next Canary great in a few years time!
  13. We’re all allowed an opinion. You won’t get sacked for having one at work I wouldn’t have thought unless you go around trying to close everyone down who you disagree with.
  14. To be fair he did a nice cross field ball.
  15. I’m not sure what game you’re watching. He dribbles past one player and then runs into another and then falls over. He spends the rest of that move running around like a headless chicken trying to regain the ball. Apart from one shot and a nice turn in front of the dugouts I don’t see what value he has added. Bring back Onel. Far more effective.
  16. Let’s see Cantwell pass the ball quicker and not dribble round 3 players down a blind alley, play one two’s with Pukki etc around the box, get his shooting boots on and watch us fly. That’s all I’m saying. He has lots more to give and has the ability and he is the key to us pasting teams going forward.
  17. There’s giving the ball away and giving the ball away. The amount of trouble Cantwell’s misplaced passes cause our back line is unreal.
  18. Another option just for 4/5 months would be Daniel James off United. I appreciate he gets paid quite a bit but if you work out the cost over 5 months it might only be a couple of £m. A bit like Huckerby, paid to much compared to the rest of the squad but a virtual promotion guarantee.
  19. Indeed, speed and clinical finish. Not foot on the ball and try and dribble through 3 defenders all the time and ultimately run into a brick wall. One two’s around the opposition’s area and fast counter attacking.
  20. I’m not saying he’s not going to be an excellent player but he reminds me to a certain degree (not in style of play but the affect on the team) of Snoddy. Great player but constantly slowed the team by too much dribbling and ponderous play. If he. An be more one touch and a bit more clinical then we could have one hell of a player on our hands but at present I feel he gives the ball away far too much and puts his foot on the ball too much and his finishing is poor.
  21. Team for Coventry: Barden Sorensen, Gibson, Zimmerman, Quintilla Rupp, Tettey Martin, Stiepermann, Placheta Hugill
  22. To be fair I’d have thought Sorensen has created and scored the same as Kenny and he’s plying left back in not his favoured position!
  23. It’s about time he created or scored. Over rated in my view. I’d have Sorensen play in Kenny’s place all day long once we have a fit LB.
