1. I agree when people don''t make sense with their typing it''s completely anoining.
2. "oi-right, how are you neil?........good good.. now I dinnn''t get to the game.. nor any games this season and my rayyyydeeeeeoooo is brook..but I think it''s time be played Askoooooo baaack in defence".. etc etc   = reason why I avoid Canary Call!
3.
yeah u heard here first elliott to start next week!!
Wow, get you with your off the wall predictions! If it happens I''ll be like "woah that Gooders_Army.. he''s psychic!"
4. Yeah imagine that! A player comes on and scores 2 in 30 minutes and people would be ridiculous enough to say he should start.
5. Why do people bother rising to these Asbo infested Leeds fans trolling?Amongst several other reasons it''s not fair to pick on mentally retarded people.
6.

Well at least Mcdermott has alot of experience as a coach as he has been at reading in some sort of coaching capacity for about 10 years now whereas Bryan Gunn spent about 7 years in hospitality here became a scout (Which he wassnt good at) before some bright spark thought even though he has next to no coaching qualifications and no managerial experience whatsoever we should appoint him as manager anyway
And McDermott had actually played football at the highest level. Where as Gunn had played in goal.. it hardly gives you the same understanding of the game.
I''m not going to get into the whole Gunn debate again, but to be fair to him in this comparison he played at the highest level a lot more than Mcdermott (a lot more) and there is no reasonable logic that he didn''t have the same or even better understanding than McDermott. Keep it real!
In my opinion playing in goal is nowhere near playing outfield. You have a completely different set of skills to master and your positioning is totally different. All in all the only real interaction you would have with outfield players is by standing between the sticks watching. You could argue that being involved with the game gives more experience but it''s still not first hand experience. I''m not saying you have to play the game to be a good manager. We know this isn''t the case. But when your comparing Gunn to Mcdermott it''s clear that Mcdermott would understand the game far better from a players point of view. Reasonable logic says that a goalkeeper only has a slight better understanding than someone who watches the game from the stands.
7. Our manager is a foreigner... but i love him so I''ll let him off!
8. I thought he was joking about not being able to tackle.. because..... he can! He made some superb tackles yesterday. One of which made the second goal!

10. How bloody bizarre. I was literally just thinking that as I opened the forum. They even look alike!
11. Ah my bad! I didn''t realise it was meant as a joke... it must have been missing something.....like being funny!
12. I''d be interested to know his history with West Ham.. how long has he supported them? It just seemed a little convenient that they were up for sale and he was interested in buying them and all of a sudden it''s the first I''ve heard of him being a West Ham fan....I think he may be trying to subtly change his alliances!
13. Any chance of of you giving me the numbers for the lottery on the 13th.. If you have the power to see future tv programmes at least tell me about a show that can make me rich [:D]
14. I think the difference for me yesterday between Doc and Nelly was Doc was a lot more clinical with his tackling. He''d get teh ball and play it to someone more often. Where as Nelly would boot it more often. I didn''t see either of them miss any tackles, or get out of position so the amount of tackles they did I''d say depended on who''s zone the ball fell in.
15. Interesting read. I can''t see how he''s gone unhailed for so long! Definately could cut it at Championship level imo. Harry Redknapp "I have known McNamee since he was a young boy at Watford and obviously he has never realised his potential he showed when he was young. "So it is up to him to show it now. There must be some reason why he did not make it at Watford but if he can put it all together and Maurice can get the best out of him then he could be some player. "He can certainly be a danger in this league but pre-season is very different. The pitches are good, and there was the adrenaline of playing a Premier League team. "If he can produce that every week he won''t be here long but can he do it regular? "That is his problem." 16. Ah I meant to mention the ref. Thought he was first class. The lines man on the Jarrold side was a bit dodge though. Ball went out and he missed it.. not complaining though as it was for us!Seemed a lot of shouts for handballs throughout the game.
17. I don''t think ''dropping'' is the right word. Rested is perhaps the right word.I don''t think Hoolahan should be dropped, or rested, he''s been flawless.Martin seems to have lost a bit of the hunger to chase opportunities. I think resting him could have a positive effect on his return.
18.
Pretty good summary Andy.I wouldn''t have said it was a good game.Great result, but the game got a bit dull for a while. We have that ''Arsenal'' habit of getting so far up the pitch, and then over-passing (pricking about as i call it),instead of getting it into the box. It was good to see Rose.I had only heard people slagging him,but he looked good and assured, winning the ball back etc. With your markings; 1 extra to Nelson.Good, done his job,but poor distribution.League 1 clogger, but that is what we need. A couple off Mcnamee. Was good, looks an exciting prospect but 10/10? (Sorry, just nitpicking) Maybe 1 off Chrissy. He seemed to give up the chase too easily. Yeovil were poor.We could have easily put the game to bed by half time.
I agree with the over passing. I think it came more from a lack of options in the box rather than just wanting to keep possession. Martin, Rose, Lappin, and Mcnamee worked the wings really well but I often saw them get stuck in the corners without options in the box so they''d pass it back.Good call re: Nelson. My rating was lower because of the level of the opposition as much as his poor distribution. He can be forgiven for clearances sometimes but yesterday there were several occassions where I thought he had more time and could have made a better ball.Where were you sat? I was sat in the Jarrold and in the second half saw a lot of Mcnamee as I pretty much sat right next to where he was 80% of the half. However, versus Southend I was in the Barclay and despite seeing Mcnamee play terrifically well I''d not have given him 10/10 there because I didn''t get to see just how great his touch and movement was because of the difficult angle. The second goal came from nowhere made by Mcnamees superb tracking back to steal the ball and play it in to what made the goal. He even seemed to pick up a knock in a harsh tackle. But didn''t fuss and got up and played on. I love to see footballers not cry rolling round on the floor. Plus he wears yellow boots so he automatically gets a +1 [:P]Can''t argue with Chrissy.Yeovil were awfully poor at going for the neutral ball yesterday. They weren''t so bad when they had possession. Their forwards were dull dull dull!
19. Fair point. I just can''t imagine there being a shortage of callers! I can''t fault the show itself just when you get the oddball ringing in using it more like a service for him to ask Neil questions because he was wondering how the game went. This is in itself frustrating enough, but when these callers add in critisms of players based on a game they saw months ago it frustrates the hell out of me. Yesterday someone was making line up suggestions for the next game based on what he saw versus Brentford.
20. I still like my idea of Mcnamee to the tune of Let it be by the Beatles..Mcnameeee Mcnameeee Mcnameee, Mcnameeee his skills are brilliant Mcnamee Mcnamme  (the his skills are brilliant bit is definately up for change).
21. Don''t know why that would ''jar'' you off.. Perhaps you''re one of those people that believes their opinion is final and discussion and difference of opinion should be outlawed. In which case what are you doing on a discussion forum?
22. What can I say. Us Lowestoft folk clearly think outside the box [;)]
