  1. How do you know they're chasing our targets and we are not chasing theirs?
  2. I agree until I read he has recently declared for Jamacia. Massive shame.
  3. Josh Sargent should be made to watch videos of Michael Antonio.
  4. Antonio is such a good player. Strong, smart, quick - seriously underrated.
  5. It's probably been said a million times already in this thread (of which I've read none) but; Liverpool loss had a lot of encouraging signs Man City loss was just terrible But any of us would have been shocked to come out of either with anything. Especially with disrupted pre-season. So am I worried? No. Not yet.
  6. Oh do shut up. You know - because it's been mentioned in about three hundred articles and a dozen interviews with staff - that the club target individuals, not positions. Individuals they feel have the right personality, the right talents, the right frame of mind. You will also know - again, mentioned ALOT - that the club are willing to wait for who they consider the right person. NO ONE SIGNS PLAYERS FOR THE SAKE OF GETTING BODIES IN POSITIONS. Or else Man City would have signed some random striker months ago rather than wait for Harry Kane. Honestly, it isn't difficult.
  7. I think he's good going forward and only ok defensively. I think Williams will eventually replace him.
  8. I like Olly Skipp and would have him back in a heart beat. But he's (and Tzolis) not the difference between us being relegated and mid table. We will still struggle, even with those signings.
  9. Given they have Kalvin Phillips who does what Skipp does an awful lot better, I suspect most Leeds fans would question why they need him. Just click bait.
  10. Surely when you are in the position we are in financially, you have to compromise on something? There just isn't this pool of players who fit the mould Norwich seem to target who are Premier League ready. So that leaves the question - what do you compromise on? Do you compromise on attitude and run the risk of upsetting the general nature of the squad? Do you get in players who perhaps once were Premier League standard but now aren't up to it anymore? That risks long contracts for declining players who based on reputation can demand a high salary. Or do you buy players who perhaps aren't quite up to it but seem capable of being so one day? That risks the player never quite fulfilling his potential. Accepting we cannot at present afford established Premier League player transfer fees and salaries, I do think signing talented, but raw players is the way we have to go. We have to hope these players can quickly find their feet in this league and adjust.
  11. 1. Don't judge what happens in real life against Football Manager 2. You don't sign scouts from other clubs based on their track record in FM, you sign them based on their attributes (judging player potential and judging player ability).
  12. Came on feeling quite downbeat at the prospect of selling Max and Todd, but your reminder of Southampton has given me pause for thought. Thanks.
  13. Also will be 3x 45 minutes, rather than your regulation 90 minutes.
  14. https://www.htafc.com/news/2021/july/watch-norwich-vs-town-live-on-youtube/ Good news.
  15. You know how this club operates by now. We won't spend what we don't have. Survival of the club is paramount. If you don't like it, I'm afraid the choices are to live with it or take your support elsewhere. Under this stewardship, it isn't going to change. I don't wish to belittle your views at all. But to me, chasing "ambition" from this board (whatever that means, and that's a whole different kettle of fish) is just not realistic.
  16. He's also an Aston Villa player and no amount of crying is going to change it. Let's move on, shall we?
  17. If we were in the Championship, I'd not have a problem. In the Premier League though? If I were an opposition manager and he was in the side opposite me, I'd be trying to take advantage I think
  18. It's a friendly against League One opposition. Relax. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Plenty of football you'll be able to watch coming your way.
