  1. I''m old enough to remember standing on the terraces and it was rubbish. I''ve no objection to the introduction of standing areas but suspect that once the novelty wears off most fans will opt for seating
  2. FFS! Actually there should be a cash prize on offer here. It''s as if they have deliberately altered the text to make it competitive. Perhaps there should be a tie breaker, complete the following "I think the daily mail is sh*te because...... (no more than 40,000 words).

  4. FFS what are you a vigilante? Do us all a favour: keep off the pitch, leave MK alone, just take the p155'' that''s fine.
  5. Can''t really be bothered tbh. Oh go on..... "She said no Marlon, she said nooo.."
  6. I took a few short vids of the post match celebrations on Monday and have uploaded them on yoo-toob. I am too stoopid to paste the links here (in working format) - can anyone advise me how to do this? If not the "raw" links are: We are Premier League: http://youtu.be/D1HdBPdOQXU We f*cking love Grant Holt http://youtu.be/RdV5H6PGB0A Ole Ole Ole http://youtu.be/5zKY9ooz4Cs Only one Paul Lambert http://youtu.be/Dwxi30kQOgw Lets be avin you http://youtu.be/pEJVShZunGI
  7. I was parked in the industrial estate on t''other side of the ground and had to walk through the Swans fans after the game. A couple of fans came up and shook my hand etc no trouble at all. Nice bunch. Also it was "we hate Cardiff scum" etc.
  8. Hucks, great report as usual but no mention of Tierney. I thought he had a cracking game yesterday. From the build up to the game I expected Pacheco to be similar to Wes but to be fair there was something of the Huckerby about him at times. El Hucks?
  9. Barney''n''Zak were really good yesterday albeit against a poor side. It was a bit like a training match for them - lots to deal with but nothing too difficult. Liked the way they worked well together - a real positive from the game.
  10. Love the quote on QPR site: "Connolly saw red for a professional foul early in the second half, but only after Grant Holy had cleverly handled the ball to get clear of the former Arsenal man." "Grant Holy!!
  11. Thanks all for your good wishes and especially to Hucks for his helping in making a really special day yesterday. There is a short article in the Norwich Evening News: http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/news/footballer_opens_special_norwich_charity_shop_1_717341#sharinganchor By the way, Hucks did make the tea!
  12. Reminder - If you are free on Wednesday morning, come along and meet Hucks at the "Close-links" Harford Manor School charity shop, St John''s Close, Norwich between 10:00 and 12:00.
  13. "Smith nearly broke Chopra in 2 with a very meaty tackle" I thought Smith was going off for that one! I couldn''t see the tackle from where I was but the resultant cartwheel from Chopra was very dramatic! Thankfully the ref had a clearer view (or didn''t see it at all) because Smith stayed on the pitch much to the derision of the Cardiff fans who gave him stick for the rest of the game.
  14. Agree with Muddy''s summary - we were the better side for large parts of the first half and competed well in the second. To be honest I thought we were very unlucky in the first half but lucky not to concede again in the second. It was good to see a player of Bellamy''s class but he contributed little to the game, fortunately for us. Wes was outstanding, Holt played a good scrum-half role and Crofts once again put in a great performance. What was wrong with Chrissy Martin FFS?? I''m a big fan of his but he just didn''t look up for it at all. My ratings: Ruddy - 8 (some great saves) R Martin - 7 (should have done better for first goal) S Smith 5.5 (looked out of his depth at times) Ward - 6 (Nothing special) Barnett 6.5 (Couple of excellent challenges) Crofts 7 (Worked hard) Lappin 6 (Ditto) K Smith 5 (Looked really jaded) Holt 7 (Should try and stay on his feet more) Hoolahan 9 (Skipped around Cardiff players) Jackson 6.5
  15. I just hope that someone locks him in the bogs at 5 to three on Saturday.
  16. Thanks MC, the school is truly exceptional and the staff are incredibly dedicated and focused on providing the kids with the life skills that they need. Many of the kids face huge challenges but all of the older ones have been involved in fitting out the shop, sorting out the stock, arranging buyers for surplus stuff etc. Hucks is a top bloke – he doesn’t have to do this but he didn’t hesitate when I asked him. I have notified the press and hope that they support the event.
  17. Bump - just in case anyone missed the original post earlier this week.
  18. My son attends Harford Manor School in Norwich which caters for children with complex special needs. This year the school have taken out a lease on a charity shop in St John’s Close, just off Hall Road, Norwich mainly to provide the older kids with some work experience and an opportunity to develop the social and communication skills that most of us take for granted. I asked City legend Darren Huckerby if he would be prepared to open the shop, cut a ribbon – that sort of thing. However he has offered not only to do that but also to work in the shop for a morning! So if you would like a chance to meet Hucks and at the same time show your support for a really worthwhile local project, please come along between 10:00 and 12:00 on Wednesday 3rd November.
  19. Good report as always - agree that Crofts was once again the MoM, fantastic signing. Really disappointing especially as we started so well - the through ball from Wes to Jackson made me think that we were in for a real treat. What''s your view on the 5 up front in the dying embers of the game? Worth a go or a bit pointless?
  20. As I said - when he started a game he was great. When he came on for Drury he looked hesitant, compared to an in-form Ads, especially against QPR. He will probably start against Palace and will have to play a blinder to keep Drury out once he is fit.
  21. Chrissy hasn''t started the last couple of games and, to be honest, was not really involved when he came on against QPR. He did really well in the first few games, especially against Forest and that''s why I rate him in the top 5. Jackson was really quick against Bristol City - their fans moaned at their own defensive errors but I reckon Jackson deserved more credit. He didn''t do a great deal on Saturday though. Russell Martin has been really good - perhaps I was being harsh on him, possibly due to him not being that great last season - has a bit of history to over come.
  22. I''m not slating Ward, I''m just not convinced he is as good as the press make out. I''ve been more concerned about him than the rest at the back - the jury is still out as far as I''m concerned.
