  1. Precisely crabby. Lots of pretty extreme opinions being spouted. If we beat West Brom, no doubt the ''get off your knees'' crew will be back and then we could still go down and the ''I told yer so-ers'' will raise their voices anew. Now if this happened in a pub, no-one would be called to task for their vehemence when things didn''t go as they predicted. By committing to writing it is a different matter.
  2. Why would you defend the manager to the death and then change completely in the space of one game? What happened yesterday that hadn''t happened previously that led to this sea change?
  3. At the moment our gd is one better than Newcastle. If we do both lose in the next round of games there is unlikely to be a big swing. Therefore avoidance of the normal 6 goal type spanking is essential.
  4. The aggressively positive and the aggressively negative rarely appear on this board at the same time. They are like the little people on those weather forecasting contraptions. When one set are out giving it: we''re going down/staying up and you are a .......... (Insert insult here) the others are elsewhere. Humility is not a quality that either breed possess.
  5. Can see us and Newcastle losing both our final matches in which case it might well come down to how many Citeh thrash us by. Negative I know but then we''re all patwetters now.
  6. An absolutely thrilling last day today and as usual an incredibly tight and competitive league. Looking forward to being part of again.
  7. 3-3 - anguish and elation in equal measures over the course of the match. Last minute equaliser for Villa, which will make it feel like a loss at the time but once Sunday comes around, we''ll see it as a point gained and realise we are ''that'' close to getting over the line. And my ticker will be in a right old state.
  8. Will this do? http://en.wallpapers-3d.ru/girl-wallpaper-nipple-closeup-dro/
  9. Blimey Morty, you''re asking ME to lighten up! You''re rather a confrontational young man aren''t you?
  10. "You two should get a room." They could get it next to you and LDC
  11. "You should have seen the odds on "City 1st replying on this thread with needlessly aggressive insults." I am generally and easy going and tolerant type but my goodness does this City 1st feller get my goat.
  12. "Mine are dry at the front, but have massive skid marks at the back. These have also dried, and in some cases "furred over". What does that count as?" Mr Chops you need to refer to the Squeaky Bum Ratings. I can''t be arsed (did you notice that cheeky one...oops I did it again) to go through all the different levels but it sounds like you might be at about 3 (buttocks clenching regularly, some collateral pant staining damage incurred)
  13. Please note that for women the whole scale should be used in reverse order.
  14. Noting the varying shades of angst and bravado/ optimism and pessimism on here at the moment, I think the time has come to introduce an empirical measure which we can use to describe the state of our underwear as events unfold over the coming weeks. The Wet Pant Scale 0: Arid: Pants have the consistency of sun baked cardboard. 1: Droplet sprinkled: Knickers still crispy but one or points of moisture are present. 2: Tendency to moistness: Undies have lost their crunchy quality, allowing them to mould to your form but are still somewhat dry. 3: Slightly soggy: Briefs are noticeably heavier due to the retention of liquid but no dripping is present. 4: Wet: Seepage is now an issue. Legs are warm. 5: Sodden: Outer garments are now also infused. 6: Flooded: Lower half is awash. Standing in an ever-expanding pool. I rate my current state at 2 but could easily go to 3 by the end of the weekend (or possibly back to 1)
  15. Obviously wrong to say it is not in our hands. Of course it is. And it would still take a ''perfect storm'' of results for us to go down. However....the reason for our current state of nervousness is that little by little our cushion is being whittled away and last Saturday gave nothing for us to cling on to re our current form. The main consolation is our home results have been good this season and we have two home games left. I believe we can at least grind out a draw against Villa. Failure to take any points and a positive result for Wigan against West Brom will officially see my mood change from mildly nervous to distinctly worried.
  16. Bottom line: Football is market driven. If people want to pay money to watch a match they do. At the moment we have more people wanting to watch Norwich than there are tickets. Ergo they must be being ''entertained''. We are in the top division and getting full houses. The only ''duty'' the club has is to maintain this.
  17. How high can we finish? As you say, 8th or 9th. How low could we finish? 18th. How high do we want to finish? As high as possible How high should we aim to finish? As high as possible. What are most people most preoccupied with at this time? Banishing the dwindling prospect of relegation completely. How high is City 1st''s horse? Very.
  18. Sorry to be a miserable old git but isn''t it true to say that, although we will be richer next year because of increased TV revenue, so will all the other Prem clubs. Therefore although we will be financially stronger next year, we will be in exactly the same situation regarding our ability to compete with our rivals for signatures. All of which makes the early signing of RVW even more of a master stroke....
