1. One thing I find funny is a paper was quoted that Newcastle could let Owen go for 2 mill instead of letting him go for free next summer but want 2.5 mill for ameobi in the same position.Davo
 2. True but there does seem to be alot of pressure on this new striker to perform I just hope he''s good enough to at least give us a force to be reckoned with along side Lupoli.Davo
 3.

hope its true batman
am i right in saying he can talk to clubs in january as he will be in the last 6 months of his contract and can get a pre contract agreement with another club?
Partially right he can talk to clubs not in England when is contract has less than 6 months to go.Davo
 4. Man City getting bought out but some Abu Dhabi company just a rumour though.Davo
 5. Plus she''s a brunette always a good thing in my book!Davo
 6.
Subject to the injury doubts he is exactly the type of player we need and the closest thing to Iversen out there. He''s not massive but is know to be good in the air. We don''t need a massive lump who encourages our players to hoof the ball up the pitch anyway. What we need is someone who is strong and direct and who can give the central defenders a presence to worry about thus freeing up more space for Loops. If he is fit I would be very happy with Helguson.
I couldn''t agree more last thing we need now is our passing style being ruined and changed to a long ball game and while not the tallest he can finish in the air and with his feet. I just hope it''s a loan as I don''t want to sign him permanatly only to be spend 2 of the next 3 years on teh sidelines injured.Davo
 7.

Not possible I  guess but Ben Burgess from Blackpool would be my choice.
Nah, far too big & hairy.Still has to be Kylie for me, every time.
Haha Each to their own I guess :)Davo

How dare you quote me out of context : )
Haha Sorry but are you saying you wouldn''t want him here? ;)Davo
No mate, best keeper in the Premiership for me.And probably the only thing between little Kev and the bullet!
Couldn''t disagree there except maybe Petr Cech.Davo

 10. I''m not really sure about who rejected who as it just seemed to fizzle out. Eitehr way I''m glad he didn''t come in the end as he doesn''t seem to have a good attitude.Davo

 13.

Helguson, Sibierski IN Shackell OUT
Now that would be a good day, indeed on a par with finding oneself in a jacuzzi full of warm custard with a naked Minogue sister on either side [:P]
which minogue sister????? or can i be greedy and have both?????
He said on either side, so I guess he means both already!!! But if worse came to worse and I had to choose just the one Minogue (), It''d be a hard decision....
Not really Dannii is definetly the better looking of the two if not by much :DDavo
 14.

If true, what a suprise, another loan, we must have less money than Northern Rock
I''d prefer to loan him for a season than buy him. Yes I know it''s another season long loan but it''s better than buying him and him turning out crap. Plus hopefully it''ll leave some money left for a permanant deal for Iversen come January or another striker.Davo
Don''t you believe it, any money we get for Shackell will go to pay back what the board members loaned the club, they will not gamble they  are happy to keep little old Norwich in the lower leagues, they want promotion and £60.000.000. prize money, and we say these days are better than Chase''s days, wake up
I believe you but there''s always hope ;)Davo
 15. I have the misfortune of living near Brum and I can safely say it''s a sh*t hole. The fact he reckons there would of been a riot if brum lost to us that day is sad and even worse knowing Cardiff like I do (I spent many weekends tehre having both friends and my sister go to Uni there) they would of come off alot worse. As for the fans he holds up as a good image, Stoke fans? Don''t make me laugh I know people who have been in fights in Stoke just for wearing a football shirt on non matchdays. Hull? Not quite as bad as Stoke but hardly likely to win a supporter of the year award. So if Norwich fans have to put up with the label of being "too nice" then so be it. Norwich is a family club which I think''s a good thing. Sure we as fan could be more intimidating at times but at what price? Would you really want a club where people can''t take young children to watch the games? A club where violence in the city is a regular occurance just so we can be more intimidating? I know I don''t.Davo

 17.

It would be good for Capello to give him a chance against Andorra but I think he''ll keep with James.Davo
The issue I have with James is I always get the feeling, at some point during a game, he will decide to come rushing out of his area and miss the ball - be great to see Greeno get a chance,
I agree I always have a feeling James will give the opposition at least 1 chance to score per game from an error but at the same times he''s consistently been the best English shot stopper for the 12 months. Still would love to see Greeno get a chance to stake his claim on the Jersey.Davo
 18.
I live in Trondheim (where Rosenborg plays) he is on a long time contract, but frome the whay Erik Hofton is speeking in the media they wil let Iversen go in November. BUT HE IS OVER THE HILL.
I thought it was a long time contract from what I''d heard from a friend who supports Viking but wanted to check before I said anything here. As for him being over the hill well so was Dublin when he came here but look at how much fans love him. Plus at only 31 he still has a couple of seasons and could still do a job for a couple of years while we get someone else.Davo
 19. It would be nice and we beat the scum to him.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1051167/Bolton-striker-Helguson-set-join-Norwich-season-long-loan.htmlOf course it''s only paper talk atm and although he''s good in the air at only 5''10 I wouldn''t really call him a target man. Still a good siging and goal scorer.Davo
 20.
i heard sat that iverson is out of contract in november anyway so could be a freebie
I hope this is true but I''ve not been able to find info on the web about when his contract is up apart from on the Wiki site that says 2011 (Yes I do realise it''s Wiki but it''s the only thing I''ve found at all).http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steffen_IversenDavo
 21. It would be good for Capello to give him a chance against Andorra but I think he''ll keep with James.Davo
 22. I don''t think so at the moment. If Hughes is putting him on the bench then it seems he likes him and wants to blood him in the premiership.Davo
 23. Football isn''t just about winning it''s about entertaiment too. In all hionesty I would prefer to go see a 4-3 loss with all the added drama of penalties or red cards etc. than a boring 1-0 win. Would oyou honestly prefer to watch Jose Mourinho''s Chelsea over Wenger''s Arsenal? DOn''t get me wrong I love seeing Norwich win but if they do it in style so much the better.Davo
 24. It''s far too early to tell yet. We''ve missed enough chances that it could of been 6 points from 3 games. Our defence is getting used to working as a unit and we can''t keep giving away penalties every game it will just take a little longer I feel. Then at the other end we''ve missed hatfulls of chances but at least we''re creating them. When we stop creating chances we''ll have cause to seriously worry. Let''s see where we are after 10-15 games before we really start thiking we''ll get relegated. Who knows by the time plymouth come along we could have a target man and he''d of had 2 weeks training with the team to get used to how GR wants to play.Davo
