1. Real improvement in last four games. Going to CR most of last season and beginning of this was just depressing. Now attacking with intent. Both Howson and Fer breaking forward.Still work in progress. Started on Sat closing down strongly but less so as the game wore on. To often slow to break forward. But we are getting players in the box.  I think we are on the right road. Not the time to change managers in my view.
 2. Just to clarify Howson came on for the last 15mins - I was hoping that he would have replaced one of the holding CMs rather than Elmander and therefore been able to create something for Wolfswinkel. Delivery from the wings was poor and we had too many touches on the ball in the final third.I also tend to slip into the old habit of thinking of those on the wing as wingers. I thought that Redmond had a terrific game and was the probably the most creative and effective player on the pitch. His goal was essentially a piece of individual class.
 3. Two good things two bad things about Saturday.Good things:  More bodies in the box; nathan redmond. Bad things:  Poor service from wings and GK; no creativity in midfield.I thought that Jonny Howson was supposed to supply the creativity but it wasn''t there.
 4. Thanks for the info Yb - I missed the other threads. Will search them out and explore options.
 5. Yes that fare is a killer. I just had some idea that NC might have chartered a plane and had spare seats they wanted to sell off cheap. As McNally would. Or some other unlikely solution. Sacramento, San Jose, Portland, you''ve got to admit it sounds good.
 6. I''ve never been interested in travelling to the states but this tour of the west coast of the USA - could be an amazing trip. Is anyone thinking of going? I don''t suppose that the club has made an arrangements for fans?
 7. So to sum up: Delia''s shares would cost about £11m (ie what she put in to buy them), the rest of the board another £6m = total about £17m. So that leaves about about £3m to be spent on the team if the £20m was hard cash. Debt remains at £19m. Is that the situation as we know it?
Yes, I take no credit for it! It sum it up well. It''s just annoying when people are jumping the gun.  Nothing has changed from yesterday, or last week or last year.  We''re still the same.
8. Bring back those tasty cornish pasties, throw out the coors light and reduce the prices. Oh, and replace the deaf bloke on the pa.
 9. Yes to Solano. We desparately need some guile. He''s playing well in the World Cup prelim rounds at the moment. Sign him.
 10. Let''s face it, Clingan has been bought for cover. Look out for Bak O''Foyle from the same place - tougher and knows how to take the heat. (sorry)
 11.

I

Can anyone honestly say they didnt want him here rather than Gilks?
I agree, Arthur. I''ve always thought we''d rue the day Peter Grant acquired Gilks, having never given Joe Lewis a taste of first team footy. [:@]
In international terms Lewis and Marshall seem just about level pegging. Why wasn''t Marshall sold for a million? Then play Lewis or play Gilks with Lewis as no 2 for a while? And be half a million to the good?
Your joking? Lewis plays his first season or most of as a number one and gets a last minute call up to the England squad ahead of Green etc and it makes him on an even scale internationally to a keeper who has been in the internation set up for a number of years, has league winners medals and has played against the top clubs and players in europe?Ok.
No not joking. Marshall is Scotland''s no three and couldn''t get a game for Celtic. Lewis is England''s no three. Tonight anyway. Marshall is a good keeper but has a real weakness - which everyone knows about. I''ve no idea how good Gilks is btw. But it looks like a good half a million gamble to me.

 13. There''s something perverse about showing your best player the door. And with the end of Ched Evans'' loan we are a squad which has no class and little potency.  I''m afraid that Glenn Roeder''s big and brittle ego is taking us into real trouble. Time will tell.
 14. Also went to the Vase match - and very disappointed. Apart from the arch the stadium could be any industrial shed. Overpriced and second rate food, expensive beer and long queues for the toilets. Even the seats look cheap. Where did all the money go?
