1. I went to Brisbane Road (or the Matchbox Stadium or whatever it''s known as now) a few times last season. I sat in the home bit which was nice and the players lounge in really nice, probably better than Norwichs! the away stand is opposite the main stand and looked a bit shoddy. I went to one of the relegation battles and the away stand was pretty full and the atmosphere was decent.
 2.

I am 50/50 on this game, might not be using my season ticket as I am meant to be in London for a party on the Saturday night, not sure if I can do the game and get down there after though. What time trains do supporters from London usually get back after 3pm Saturday games?
We normally get the 5.30pm back, it''s a bit of crush up to Diss, but fine after that. The good news is that the engineering works are finshed and there are no buses. It''s currently £12.00 single on the 5.30pm if you buy in advance. The price goes up nearer the date of travel, so best to buy early if you know you are going to travel.
Cheers Tim! Will have to look into getting my tickets soon if I am going down then.

Re the game being sold out, the box office have confirmed that they only have £55 tickets left! Now who built that hotel!!!
Cheers Ren!
 4. From the highlights it doesnt look like we had anyone on the posts too? Its not something I noticed before but is this something we done on purpose or did they push out once the corner was taken?
Random because its the first time I have driven all the way to London to watch half a game of football, let me guess you do that all the time?! I should have known better than to waste my time telling you.
Fair enough, but what makes it random?  I don''t get that.
Ok, I don''t see why you are putting so much emphasis on one word when what I was trying to say was that I didn''t plan to go, but ended up going. I didn''t know where I was going, which obviously made it harder and in my opinion it was a random day out. If you want me to be picky, every day is made up of a series of random events.
That''s sounds like gay thinking to me[;)]
Ha, ok, you win. I can''t be bothered to explain myself anymore.
 7.
Very interesting and a big well done for effort. One small point, skinfull the night before, hangover and you drove?
No Butler, I had 3 or 4 beers on Friday night. Think I would have been fine to drive. In a way I am quite glad I went, another ground ticked off.

 10. Just thought I''d let you all know about my random day out at Millwall today. I went out last night, got in at about 2am but wasn''t drinking heavily, unlike some of my mates. I woke up at about 10am, not even planning to go, got a text from a player (who I wont name) saying "I''ve left you 2 tickets in your name mate" at about half 11. I ring my mate and ask if he fancies it, even though he is hanging he is up for it, lets go! Jump in my car at about midday and after a quick stop off at Coral on Prince of Wales Road, I go to Long Stratton and pick my mate up. We decided to stop at my dads and try and nick his car for the day, he obliges and gives me his BMW for the day - bonus! The drive was ok but there was some roadworks on the A12 and we get to Redbridge tube station at about 2.45 (because of the hold ups!). We jump on the tube, get off at Mile End and find out the District and Hammersmith and City lines are shut, bummer! By this time its about ten past 3, so we go back to Stratford, Jubillee line to Canada Waters and get there at about 3.30. We spend a few minutes trying to find a taxi then get a black cab to the ground and get there at about 3.40, with the score 1-1. By this time I had got 2 texts asking if the goal was a good one, haha. We go to the reception to try and get the tickets and are told the ticket off is "shut and wont be open till after the game" which we obviously said was no good to us. We asked to speak to a manager and no one turned up. We were advised to "knock on the ticket office windows" which we done, and we were greeted with a shout of "whos knocking on the f**king windows", haha. I explain the situation and we get our tickets eventualy and get into the ground at half time, the guy on the gate told me we were "lucky to be 1-1", which didn''t seem good. We saw the whole of the second half, which wasn''t the best I have seen us play all season, the introduction of McNamee seemed to perk us up a bit. From what I saw of Cody he didn''t seem to be playing well. Now we obviously missed the first half but the ref seemed to be very swayed by the crowd and the Millwall players. I thought Forster looked good, but the cross for their goal (scored by Harris) was debatable as to who should be winning that. HIs kicking looked better though and he made one really good save. Russell Martin looked solid again but I''d like to see him run at his opponent a bit more, the centre halves looked to be struggling at times, mainly because of the pitch condition and Rose looked average at left back. I''d like to see more of him as he was getting forward more and getting some decent crosses in. The midfielders looked tired and over-run and I just didn''t think it was going to be our day. I thought Chris Martin was good, full of running and  looked lively, didn''t see much of Wes though. I thought their fan''s tactics of throwing the ball as far from Norwich players as they could was pathetic and was expecting more than 4 minutes added on at the end. Even the more grown up ball boys were at it, which was sad if the truth be told. Our fans turned out in their numbers but didnt really ever seem to get going, much like the team. I do like Lamberts attitude towards subs and changing if its not going right though, that deserves a mention. So we got held behind, walked back to the tube station and got a tube to Stratford where we had a McDonalds, first meal of the day, which cheered us up. Then drove home and got back at about 9ish. The atmosphere was pretty decent, they certainly made some noise and it was never going to be an easy place to go, so I don''t think we can be too downhearted, my dad said Lamberts interview said much the same? A long, random but funny day. Sorry about the long story but just thought I''d share it with you all.
 11. You could contact the club? I know a few of the current players but I am not sure how many of the lads I know would know him well enough to have his number etc and if they would be willing to pass it on. Alternatively, try finding out who he is playing for now and going to one of their games. I have met Alex before and he seemed like a nice guy so I''m sure he wouldn''t mind you asking.

 14.
Posted the Friday joke thread and mentioined a couple of non pc jokes. Must have offended someone[;)] Blame me chaps!!
I just came on here to read today''s jokes! Not a good start to my Friday!
 15. Haha, awesome! Good to see someone on here who has a sense of humour and can take a joke for once!
 16.
Hucks sits a couple of rows in front of me in the Jarrold with his sons, and I noticed Gary Holt in the block to my right, I think he''s had a ticket there for a while actually.
Gary Holt sat behind me, so he must have got some freebies as I sat in the players tickets section. Don''t think there is many season ticket holders in that bit.
 17.
thanks for the help ricardo, very interesting. I might look into this more...
Just beware, making any money off gambling is hard enough so making a living would be very tough. You need to have a very balanced mentality and avoid the "chase" if you lose or in this case make a mistake and miss a price.
 18.
Some great posts here .... thanks Any recommendations for the longer odds yankee type bet where if two or three out of four come in you are quids in?
This system is best used if you have 3 selections that are all decent prices and you want to cover yourself. My advice would be to use this if you fancy draws or away teams. For example, on Tuesday I done Southampton (away at Brentford - 13/10), Preston (away at P''boro - 17/10) and Middlesboro (away at Doncaster - 2/1). I put £2 on the treble and £2 per line on the 3 possible doubles, so laid out £8. If all had won I would have won £79, but Southampton didnt, so I won a £2 double on the other two, which paid about £16, covering my bet. Its more used in horses as the prices are longer. If you back teams at odds on (e.g 8./11 etc) you won''t get as much back from your doubles if two short prices come in, but on the other had you don''t lose as much. All depends on how confident you are in your selections.
 19.

Apparently until the end of the season, hopefully this will go some way to stopping you lot running away with the league...
If you could stick to the usual Friday joke thread that would be much appreciated :)
Awesome!
 20.
You think Madrid look quite good? Thats interesting, i wasn''t very impressed the last couple of times i watched them..... (probably because with all the money they have spent, all the players they have, they should win every game quite easily...)
They need to keep up with Barca at the top, plus cos they kick off later you can see if any other bets come in and adjust the stake accordingly. Or if you put them in a double or treble with a team during the day you can cover yourself for some winnings later on.
 21. Real Madrid away at Deportivo tomorrow night are even money. Even without Ronaldo I think Real look good value. I also fancy Gold Award in the 2.40 at Newbury today. Around 2/1, Henderson''s horses have been in good form recently and with Geraghty on board I quite fancy it.
 22. I think the rules state that you can''t do it after a certain point of the season, to stop this happening or a team thats already relegated doing it - like Leeds did (which is why they got such a heavy points deduction).
 23.
I don''t think that many teams will turn them over at their home. Especially Leeds.
Leeds have already played them away and Leeds won 2-1.
