Robins interviewed today
Kissthebadge replied to Tim Dawson's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Thing is, I don''t think we really can afford to give him a decent amount of time to see if he can do it. We need to be knocking on the door for promotion next year or the decline will, in all likelyhood, continue. What was the point of the short-term contract if he was going to get the job anyway; as has been said before, it''s rewarding failure. I do agree however, that much of the abuse is unjustified and unfair towards such a top man. -
Employ Gunn, and he'll be sacked in October!

I''m sure Barnsley are relaxed and playing good football as they have no pressure on them. -

I don''t have a problem with people wishing us luck. Perhaps we''re the ''Liverpool'' of the championship; most people have a soft spot for us with the exception of our local rivals. -
Plymouth you owe us

Plymouth have had some odd results of late at home. They either seem to win big or lose big. They certainly should go for it as they have nothing to lose, but then again, so should Charlton! -

Great post. Pretty much confirms what most of us were expecting. I liked the bit about being a few points of the play-offs; have forgotten how this feels past the first month of the season! -

F.A Cup First Round and a televised humiliation of a defeat by non-league opposition! -
All I ask is that he gives all decisions in our favour, including the penalty in the first minute that sees Reading reduced to 10 men.

Remember that Plymouth v Barnsley next Sunday ! If we can beat Reading not only would it put us above Barnsley but would put us within 2 points of Plymouth. Plymouth would then know that us/Barnsley would only be within 2 points of them -and can''t afford a home defeat , therefore we would only need to match whatever Barnsley do at Plymouth - we could stay up with only 3 points !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
However if we only draw against Reading, Plymouth will be safe on 51 points so will have no incentive to beat Barnsley. The biggest disappointment today was Plymouth drawing and Southampton not winning because now Southampton have no incentive at Forest. A win Monday is vital if we are to maintain pressure on the other relegation rivals.
Yeah, the Plymouth result is a blow. Had they lost today and we''d got a draw on Monday, a win against Charlton would have seen us safe, whatever the result between Plymouth and Barnsley (I think??) Now however, unless we win against Reading, Plymouth are safe and have nothing to play for. -
if we lose against Reading, it could mean that Barnsley and Plymouth could play out a draw to keep each other up.
We must get at least a draw on Monday to put pressure on Barnsley. If that happened they''d know they would have to win to be sure as a draw would not be enough for them if we won at Charlton............ I''m emotionally exhausted!!!
-

I think I''m right in saying that whatever the result on Monday, it will come down to the final day?
Correct, even in our worst nightmares we lost on Monday, we still can''t go down, as we''d be 3 pts behind Barnsley. Sadly, Barnsley could play out a draw and send us down on the last day in that scenario, regardless if we win or not against Charlton. We''d be hoping for a favour from Plymouth in that case.
So a draw on Monday wouldn''t be a disaster..............but please let us win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
