Stephen Hughes offered 7k a week!
colneycanary replied to colneycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Ooops! Sorry i didn''t see the post further down, about exactly the same thing! 7k a week though!! -
Yes i know there is already a thread on Stephen Hughes, and people are arguing about were he''s plays, so wasn''t going to post this on there. Anyway was just a little surprised to see this story about Stephen Hughes stalling on our offer of £7,000 A WEEK! That is a big offer for a League 1 player is it not?? Stephen Hughes snubs Norwich as Hearts, Dons & Well hold out for midfielder Jul 9 2009 MOTHERWELL midfielder Stephen Hughes is stalling on an offer to join Norwich City. The Carrow Road outfit, relegated to League One last season, offered a thee-year deal believed to be worth in the region of £7000 a week. But after talks with Norwich boss Bryan Gunn Hughes declined to sign. His agent Tom Callaghan said:"Stephen just wants a little more time to think it over. "I wouldn''t say it is totally dead in the water but we know there could be interest from Championship clubs. Obviously there will be movement at other sides with players leaving. "That could open the door but Stephen won''t be rushed." Hearts are also interested but can''t match the Norwich terms while Well are still hoping Hughes will remain at Fir Park.

We dont even have the money to buy Alan Lee
colneycanary replied to St.John Cooper's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Palace still owe the scum 400k for Alan Lee. Unless we make an offer over this we will never sign him. We also offered far far less in wages than he''s earning now! Barnsley have now entered the race so things are not looking good! -
Gunn on Lee and other targets?
colneycanary replied to ncfclad's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It doesn''t look good on Lee. Palace still owe Ipshit 400k for Lee and unless we offer that, we have no chance. Warnock said our offer was way short of the value they put on Lee and the wages offered by us, are far less than he''s hetting now. Barnsley have now entered the race too. http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/tn/Sport.cfm?id=26925&headline=Exclusive: -
Huddersfield 'No Go' for Rickie Lambert
colneycanary replied to Fig Roll's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Rickie Lambert would be my number 1 target! I don''t think we could find anyone better for the money. If Gunn did sign him, i think he might win a few fans over and get them on his side. Fingers crossed! -
So where's all this rebate money?
colneycanary replied to colneycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Who said the rebate money was for wages? Season ticket sales are normally for players wages. The rebate money was for player transfers, and any signing on fee''s for players, must be very small in Leage 1 unless we are chucking money away again! -
With another free signing today, that means we still have all the rebate money left plus what else we had in the transfer kitty. Surely we can afford to get at least 2 out of Rickie Lambert, Alan Lee or Grant Holt. If we don''t spend the rebate money on strikers that we desperatly need, questions will have to be answered Mr Foulger!

Nice to see the old clock back and looking so good! It''s a shame we can''t turn the clock back 4 years though!

How much money do Norwich have to spend?
colneycanary replied to Canaries Utd's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We have very very little money. We can''t afford Alan Lee, Dickinson or Grant Holt. We have now set are sights on Platt from Colcester, so they can buy Grant Holt! Colcester have more money than us!!! When Sammy Clingan is sold, we may have a small amount from that added to the transfer kitty! Otherwise we aint got a lot! -
Norwich academy under preassure

I don''t know where you get your information from, but this is the biggest load of rubbish i''ve heard for a while. I can''t believe some people actually believe this! -
i think paul mcveigh will do a good job.
colneycanary replied to singing canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Mcveigh had 1 good season. Then when he got given a new contract he put on loads of weight and went down the pan! He was crap last season at Luton in league 2, so how the hell is he going to be any better in league 1 and being a year older too? I think he would find it hard to get a contract at Kings Lynn let alone us! -
Put your questions to Stephan Phillips
colneycanary replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The previous board kept the supporters in the dark about many things. i.e transfers & offers of investment (peter cullum) etc. Now that you are on the board, are you allowed to pass on information about any future investment or transfers so it can be printed in your newspapers? What is your knowledge of the great game? -
Re: About time we signed somebody isnt it?
colneycanary replied to Time to go Delia's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
And as for signings Gunn said next week their would be new signings! -

McVeigh is not good enough anymore, not even for League 1 i''m afraid. Best he gets a contract with Kings Lynn. -
This has made me laugh. 1st Wizard tried to make out he had some top secret information on new investment! What a croc of sh*t it turned out to be. Who''s got egg on their face now then?
