1. Thankfully most have realised I wasnt questioning the gender, rather the ability to deliver. In my opinion Delia does not have that ability - unfortunately, money delivers in this game nowadays and if we dont compete financially then we wont compete on the field. I had the utmost respect for Delia in the early years, but that respect has all but gone due to her refusal to see that she has taken this club as far as she can, and it''s time to move over (coupled with her unprofessional outbursts). I note the Iversen deal is probably off due to lack of finance - I stand by my comments that we let a great opportunity slip (for now), and the lack of professional responsibility for not pursuing and negotiating the Cullum offer is the straw that broke ...etc. It is a DUTY for any board members etc to act in the best interests of the club, and I question that - Lisa-Marie, no sentiment, just plain facts.

Haven''t we gone over this time and time again? I have a theory: Whether she''s right for the club or not there are a lot of men out there who can''t cope with the idea of a woman running NCFC. Simple as. You don''t hear Doomcaster getting the same personal attacks and he''s just as culpable for the state of this club as anyone else. Pure, old fashioned sexism. Wouldn''t you say?
What are you talking about????
sex·ism
 3.
Mook, The point was about Delia really, I guess I shouldn''t have put in the bit about Doncaster as it distracts from the point. But I stick with that point - there are a lot of blokes (not, by any means, all) who simply don''t like a woman in charge of our club and can''t see past that.
Oh dear, how sad you are...
 4.
I agree with most of what you have pointed out here and you really should have had the National Anthem playing in the background, but all joking aside (as you wish) what more can the woman do..? I think the word for it is ''Sentiment'' and doesn''t that play a huge part in supporting NCFC and other teams? I firmly believe that Cullum went to the press before approaching the club the second time to get the fans on his side (after all it is well pressed all over the country how brilliant we are etc etc) and he immediately got that wish, if you remember it was also well pressed that ncfc didn''t meet until a week or so after it all came out - so i really think that should have a line firmly drawn underneath. Can you say why you thought she was ''the right person'' before, other than ploughing her money into the club? That''s not a critisism, but isn''t Delia getting the ''we''ve got to blame someone'' treatment a little too much? Dare i say that perhaps it''s the ''hero''s'' on the pitch that should take at least most of the blame..
Of course sentiment plays a part, otherwise I wouldn''t have bothered posting - what more can the woman do? well, that''s for another thread I suppose, I only wanted to get a feeling of others opinions. Same with the Cullum thing, it has also been posted to death, but in my personal opinion, I think it was an opportunity for this club, which has gone by the wayside(for now). I am not sure I said she was the "right person" before, I did say that I was grateful for what she did for us, including ploughing her money in - but that was her choice, and like anything in business you enter with your eyes open. Finally, I am not blaming Delia for anything material (I did staet this was not about the manager or players), I am simply putting forward my opinion that I do not think Delia is now the right custodian of our club.

 6. Try to forget your personal feelings towards her, be honest, do you think that Delia is the right helmsman (woman) at the club? This isnt about the manager or players, who will sign or who wont etc, that is day-to-day business. This is about the custodian of our great club. In the early days I had a lot of time for Delia and was grateful for what she did for us. I forgave her the "Let''s be ''avin ya" rant (mildly amusing, but extremely embarassing) and the alcahol fuelled comments at the Norfolk Show. However, on reflection and culminating in the Cullum debacle (I firmly believe that we may have let a great opportunity slip away here), I actually believe that she has regressed into a self-centred human being who has set herself onto an ivory tower and wo-betide anyone who seeks to knock her down. There is a lot of animosity aimed towards Neil Doncaster, but if you analyse his position of employment (which is a great job and many would give their right arm for), he can only deliver what he is allowed to deliver, and he almost certainly would have to pay lip-service to his employers.....and absorbing the flak as a bonus. Personally, I dont think Delia is the right person any more, and what now sticks in my throat is that I am sure she also realises she is not the right person any more. But, I feel the pride in the woman will not allow her to hold up her hands and say "I''ve done a decent job here, I''ve had some fun, but now it''s time to let someone else with fresh enthusiasm and resource to take over..." This is a great club, it will still be a great club even if Delia holds out for another 5 years, because it''s the supporters that make a club great. But right now I think those same supporters are being cheated out of NCFC realising it''s potential - forget the results for the moment, I cannot remember ever feeling this concerned about the future for our club.
 7. 1st January - I had to suffer the "...because it''s so close, I am giving you a joint Christmas & birthday present...." I actually feel sorry for me...
 8. I was at the game last night, and it was shocking. Lampard, Beckham, James, Cole (Ashley) and Downing should never pull on an England shirt again IMO. Start with Woodgate for Ferdinand, Greeno in goal, pull Rooney back into the role he plays at Man U, give Gerrard freedom to roam and get some of the youth on....We dont have the time to "tinker" now, but if we rely on the same old, same old.....then Borat will be very happy come October, and we could be playing friendlies in 2010. I bet the U21''s against Portugal on 5th September will show some spirit and fight - maybe Capello needs to "force" the senior team to watch that match and learn......
 9. Shyster - check out the flights to Thailand, your mate is waiting for you at the airport......
 10.
I''m optomistic because we are only 2 league games into the season and we look a good footballing side. Once the strikers get the confidence in their feet, (JC and Lupoli), we''ll be banging the goals in. I don''t think the big man thing would solve our probs as much as people make out. It would give us an extra option thats all, but if the strikers arn''t hitting the target whats the big man gonna do? Create more chances for our strikers to miss!?  Its about the new faces settling in and getting an understanding with the rest of the squad. So support your club and the players who where the shirt FFS!
I tend to agree Waltham - the back and mid look much more assured, and will get better as the season goes on. Just a concern up front, but we dont know whats going on, so we have to make the best of what we have for now and look forward to playing the decent football that we were always known for...
 11.
...and there we have it: Wycombe writes a very thoughtful post and my faith in human nature and those on this board is renewed!  Isn''t it interesting that on a thread that''s five pages long, no one has added anything thoughtless, imbecilic, illiterate, or abusive?  Maybe there is a lesson to be learnt there, as mentioned by other posters - if we all aim to maintain standards, maybe those who can''t/don''t want to will be deterred from dragging us all down.
Well summarised Suffolk - my faith has also been restored, hopefully not temporarily
 12.
in terms of debate the forum has become much much better without moderation.. yes you get odd windup mercahn or idiot post abuse (Like that ipswich''fan'' from the other week) but for the most part its healthy debate and freindly banter. I wonder if a lot of those who complain about the Un moderated board are those who don''t have their opinion agreed with? jas :)
No, I think most are more grown up than that.....
 13. Some great opinions on this thread, and good debate - which is how it should be. Another point I should have made at the beginning is that for fans like me, who live miles away from Norfolk and the club, these forums are how I keep in touch with what''s REALLY going on - I have family in Norwich who keep me updated a bit, but day to day I use this media to keep in touch. Hence my frustration when this forum descends into a slanging match in the middle of an interesting thread. Like most, I dont want full moderation back, as it can take the edge of a good thread, but I do agree with those who have suggested a looser type of moderation. Couple more points - for those who just want a bit of verbal aggrevation, go to http://boards.footymad.net/mboard and hurl abuse to your hearts delight, and finally..... to those who think because you dont live in Norwich you cannot possibly be a true supporter of NCFC- well, I actually miss living in Norfolk, but I certainly dont miss the narrow mindedness of some folk..... Thanks to all for a great response.....
 14. I am not a regular poster (as you will have noticed), but I do read this forum regularly. I moved away from the official site message board a couple of years ago because it was getting tedious with whingeing, sarcastic, sad-arsed posters who had nothing to contribute. Unfortunately, I have to say that since the moderators were removed, this forum is going the same way. I am all for freedom of speech, I have 2 kids both using "text speak", and one of the guys I work with is dyslexic - so I have no issues with, and plenty experience of, different styles of communication. BUT, for me this is a forum where opinions matter and should be respected, and argued where necessary - it is not a forum for bored schoolkids, wannabe Borat''s and sarcastic low-lifes who are in awe of intelligent debate. I have noted over the last few months in particular that the whole atmosphere of this forum has changed, and many good NCFC posters have disappeared - also there''s nothing wrong with posters from other clubs visiting this site and communicating their opinions, it''s good to get outside views, and makes for some good banter. While I don''t particularly want the moderators back in, if it would re-instate this forum to one of good, thought-out, debateable posts, then maybe that is what it needs. There, I have said it..........now I sit and wait for the "Binner Alert", "You cant support Norwich ''cos you dont live here" gramaphone record that is sure to start winding up.....
 15. I saw this looking on Sky''s site under Sentanta Sports 1 - ditto, any info would be gratefully received......
 16. City to sign Bell – report Luton midfielder David Bell was reported to be at Norwich for a medical after the clubs agreed a £600,000 deal. Luton midfielder David Bell was today reported to be completing a £600,000 move to the Canaries. Crisis club Luton have put all their players up for sale - and according to one national newspaper, Bell is set to lead the exodus. Bell, 24, was reported to be at Norwich today for a medical after the clubs agreed a £600,000 deal last night. The Hatters midfielder was one of the first players to be linked with a move to Carrow Road earlier in the summer.   Sorry if this has already been posted....
 17.

Could send a load of crap to his business enquiries@towergate.co.uk Just a though. we need the money
What a stupid thing to post.  Assorted wind-up merchants and scummers will be sending spam and abuse now.  Well done.
Agreed Mr C - that suggestion is not helpful at all, and I would urge everyone NOT to respond....
 18.
Baldyboy walks into a car dealership. Baldy: Hello there I would like to buy that car over there, the one with the £20,000 price tag on it. Salesman: Certainly, this is the fantastic 2008 edition, Baldy: 2008 edition, you mean next year they will bring out a 2009 edition? Salesman: Yes, as it happens they will. Baldy: in that case, is there any chance I can have it for half price. Salesman: Yes certainly........ NOT
Baldy: But they have them at half price at the other dealership Salesman: So go and buy one from there then Baldy: They dont have any in stock Salesman: So come back when I dont have any stock, mine will be half price too......
 19. Norfolk&Chance - But what if they put the new player(s), in the new kit! 2 birds, 1 stone... Actually, the new player(s) could have also been getting a rub from the new physio while they''re at it. 3 birds. Or better still.....just getting a rub from the 3 birds..
 20.
Your the boss?
Stick with it Wrightycool, you will get responses from people who are not just sitting and waiting to pounce on anyone who is not 100% grammatically correct. Welcome to the Forum - this, in various forms, has been banded around a lot lately (increasingly as the days go by) - for me, if I had £3.5m I would probably do exactly the same as GR is now.....
 21. If this is a serious question.........then whatever you are comfortable with - underarm for lob serve, overarm (actually, more from 2 O''clock position) for power - most important for either is that the ball hits the opponents side wall in their service box before hitting back wall or floor (more difficult for opponent to return).
 22.

A friend of mine works for a car dealer in the city who sponsor Gunnys car, Gunny was supposed to be making an appearance on their stand at the Norfolk Show today but said he could not make it as he has a Player coming down for talks..... Could this be Alan Gow ref the other thread?? MM
Oh geeeeeez another scottish footballer! Didint we learn anything from Grants jock flops?
Don''t tar them all with the same McBrush - Fleck, Gunny, Malky.......
