  1. the problem is that although we can try to get the price down that wont happen, as another club has already matched there asking price and eventually im sure taylor will move to a club that will eventually offer him first team football, and if our offer doesnt get accepted that club wont be us,
  2. yeah to true ricardo, but hey when we all say something against the board were all expected to drop wat were doing and be at  smudgers side protesting as if we havent got anything else to do, the problem is that all these people who are saying ti isnt the boards fault its taylors are making excuses for the failings of the board, we were told at the begining of the season that money was there to spend in august but nothing really materialised and now weve been told theres money to spend in january but its not enough to get a decent palyer in like taylor, so how much is there and were do they expect this classy defender is going to come from for less then taylor yet still leave roeder with money for other signings,
  3. yep spot on ricardo, but hey we all get told were just doom and gloom merchants, the problem has been coming for the last 3 years and yet theres still those that see no problem is there, afterall it was only a few weeks ago that people were wanting to protest to get a new board and as soon as we get a run of 4 out of 5 games won the boards again the best thing,
  4. russia did better then us with a foriegn coach, sven had a excellent record under england only lost 3 competitive games, qualified for every tournament and 3 quarter finals, better then a lot of other coaches, funny enough didnt brasil do well under a foriegn coach,
  5. the thing is that all we have to do is match what birmingham want, qpr can offer all they like for a player yet its were the player wants to go  so as long as the club are willing to pay the asking price the selling club is fine, this happened with david beckham, he chose real madrid yet there offoer for him was well below barcelona and ac milan, we all know taylor said hed like to stay here so if we matched brums asking price hed no doubt sign for us, many players have gone to a club that they want to play for even tho that club has actually offered less then the other clubs, sharpe for instance, went to sheffield united, even tho we offered more for him, eastwood was the same, we offered just as much as wolves but he went there, unless the manager is backed and actually can meet asking prices then the only place were going is down, and remember yes qpr have  wealthy backers but so do norwich, a ten mill war chest is hardly going to be missed by the turners, hell id even be happy if they gave a ten mill war chest in a loan form as then theyd get the money back anyway,a decent centre back for the club is going to cost at least a mill, so if we cant get taylor for 1.25 mill then wat hope do we have of getting another decent defender
  6. so come january when we have no decent centre back and weve slipped back into the relegation zone because a extension couldnt be worked due to financialy implications then this is alrite is it, no in my opinion if we dont get a decent centre back we are going to be in a grave financial situation, im sure this club cant afford to go downa league, so in my opinion its lack of ambition, the club needs the ambition to stay up but they have shown that for some reason they cant afford to provide this, ffs we have a couple of people on the board that quite easily couldve given a financial loan to the club to fund such a deal, stinks to high water of making it with what weve got again,
  7. the thing is we need to be doing everything possible to get a decent player in we had one on loan that chance may of set sale, and why, cos the board aint prepared to match 1.25mil,
  8. so why does the donc come out and say that we wont be spending much, ie lack of ambition there, i dont have all the info but why would he go back to a club to sit in the reserves for a month when he could be playing regular and keeping his match sharpness going, the guy said he jumped at the chance to play here when he first came here so whats changed, the only thiong thats changed is that more money is needed to increase his loan stay money that the board have said wont be spent needlessly, now i see a defender as a need, we have a good one that was here but nothing was done about it, he turned down a move to qpr cos he was playing here so my guess he was hoping to stay here but now theres no chance of that hes back in with qpr because they do want him, so wheres the ambition
  9. with the loss of now a main cog in the works gone and the boards complete lack of ambition to get this person to stay then protests must go on, now im sure we all know that tiny taylor wants first team football and top flight football but at birmingham he wouldnt of got that, now he said hed mull over his future and that he loved his time here and the people and the fans were great, so surely he wouldve stayed even if just till the end of the season, so why didnt he, cos the board couldnt be arsed to support glen as this wouild cost money.so protests must go on
  10. that so called over rated rubbish helped keep norwich in the championship last season, i reckon he needs a chance to prove himself, again
  11. croft wouldnt work on the left,  the only reason i asked about possibilty of martin is if hes had words with roeder then he might be pushing harder to prove he has a place and it might be interesting to see these to youngster together, and theres nothing wrong woth young exuberence, especially if that young exuberence is backed by talent, which is fairly obvious that both martin and evans has, the problem martin had was jis attitude but he might just be interested in showing reoder that evans aont the only one there that can score
  12. a lot of you on here seem to be saying that cureton hasnt been upto standard in the last couple of games and therefore you doubt he will start,  we all know that if he doesnt then the likely option to play will be dublin, but what if this isnt the case, what would be ure opinions if say the team to start  was                   marshallsemmy,  taylor,  shackell,   camera chadwick  fozzy   pattison    huckerby                evans      martinwith subs   arnold  dublin   croft     spilane  smithim thinking this might be the time for martin to step forward and show that evans aint the only one capable of starting and scoring, just tp prove a point
  13. 100% agree norwich have been playing so much better recently, but u hav to agree that at the moment we are still in a precarious position and if the team keeps reverting back to the old hoof ball and alowing teams to get back into the game then we will be in trouble, we clearly couldve beaten stok on the first half performance but in th second half it went wrong, now this could juts be a slip up that roeder will rectify and everyone has to agree that stoke is a very tall demand to compete with, if the get that ball in the air they can punish, and yes many teams will go to stoke and lose or draw, the only one thing i can say isroeder is always looking for the win, you can see it in his substitutions, we shall see by christmas if the corner has really been turned or if weve misjugded it and ended up in the hedge plymouth win       hsheff utd  win       hcolchester win      ascunthorpe  draw  acharlton      win     hthese are our next games if we can do this then we could just possible turn the corner and start to climb up the table
  14. its not the away results that are the problem, i mean stoke are a very hard team to play against, there tall and very physical, but if we can get a good home run going and start to win games at home and draw a few away and win the lesser physical sides away we should be ok,roeder said he needs 14 points from each 11 gamesipswich   draw   1point      hwatford   loss     0 point     hplymouth loss    0 point     acoventry  won   3 points    hblackpool won  3 points    astoke        loss    0 points   aplymouth          h  possible 3 pointssheff utd           h  possible 3 pointscolchester        a   possible 1 pointscunthorpe       a  losscharlton           h   possible 1 pont11 games played    possible 15 points look likely so on that form if he continued with 15 points from 11 games we will get 45 points added to the 15 we got we should get 60 points by the end of the seasonis this relegation possible, i mean if we can do that so could th teams above us
  15. one of my colleagues has said that all the talk has cooled  off, there still waiting for meetings to discuss possible take overs, he said its still a possibiltiy it might fall through on both parts, and with the deal at birmingham stalling looks like gold aint ready either
  16. was he unfairly treated by the ref, sounds it from what i heard, but i wasnt there so any insight, if he hadnt of been penalised so many times what could the scoreline of been
  17. yeah with laxative chocolate on it so hes to busy running to the loo to save goals
  18. agreed a big cheer to those in the 3rd btn RA as without them the work will be a lot harder, my deepst respect to those who arr family members of the 3rd btn, Vikings forever
  19.     because comercially abroad the prem is sold to countries that want to see a mixture of world class players and theyll pay big money for thisschevchenko, ballack, ronaldo, torres, fabregas, etc are all more eye catching to the foriegn market then the likes bridge and lampard etc
  20. i agree why did we ever move away from the rule regarding forign players in the team, i mean early 90s when we had the limit we produced the likes of players as beckham, scholes, neville, even phil, caragher, shearer, sheringham, butt, campbell, etc i mean if you look at what we have todaylampard, good at club level but jus cant perform without a foriegner by his sidegerrard, cant perform to his club level with lampard or anyone else from a diff sidelook at our goalieswhat we got nowcarson, foster, green, robinson, james, the only one that could do well is james but again he gets complacentwe need more home blood bought through,
  21. with everything going on in football and the poor displays i must say it was a proud day on the streets of norwichthanks everyone whoo showed there respect todayyou done norwich proud and made the boys feel honoured
  22. the club  should include in the small print that only in extreme circumstance cn you ben allowed to cancel your season ticketif you are paying by direct debit you will only get a refund amount on what youve already paid minus the games played, you can cancel the direct after your seven days and the club cant persue you for the rest as you have completed your side of the termination agreement, the problem is going to be getting the money back, they will probably refund it to you next year after enquiring if youd like to renew the ticket giving you a reduced rate equal to the refund.
  23. u complain about not the club breaking the law on there contract yet you wandered into a ticket office did you give the club the 7 days written notice to cancel, u dont mention if you did, if this is the case then no wonder you wouldnt get a refundjust give the seven days written noice as stated on your ticket then see if thy dont cancel it, if they dont then complain
  24. there is a appropriat time to protest and this saturdays game is not one of those times, we should all come together to remember what a legend this player was, my dad remembers seeing him play and was shocked when he read the news, by all means protest smudger but u will be the only one there as the rest of us will be marking our respect to this legend,
  25. personally what was wrong with the promotion winning seasons entrance tunesome of u might no know it but id of gone for "never gonna stop" by rob zombie
