1. Nothing against any of the ''keepers but I hope we see another keeper to provide competition for John Ruddy.
2. Firstly I think our squad as it is at the moment is as good as the average lower half premiership side in my opinion and I think the signings (espeically Bennett and De Laet) enhance the quality of an already very capable squad. Of course we dont know how any of the new guys will do but then again there is always a risk when acquiring new players. If you look at our signings the last time we got promoted (and for one stupid stupid game at Craven Cottage we would have stayed up) we signed a lot of ''risky'' players. Risky because only Graham Stewart, Doc, Simon Charlton and D. Bentley on loan had premiership experience. Dean Ashton, Bentley and Safri were arguably our best signings that close season and only one of  those 3 (Bentley) had premiership experience and you have to remember that he was a young loan player and didnt exactly have buckets of premiership experience (cant actually remember if Safri had played there before?).The likes of Matias Jonson (I still shudder when I think about him playing here..), Helveg and Graham Stewart were arguably no better than what we already had..Hucks was the only player in our squad when we won the title (not including the new signings that year) with premiership experience I believe- where as this time we haf Ruddy, Whitbread, Drury, Surman, Barnett and Ward with any premiership experience-(correct me if I''m wrong).- again not including the 4 signings. So actually you can argue that although individually our players (before the signings this pre-season) dont have much premiership experience actually overall we have a lot more experience throughout a greater number of players as opposed to just Hucks (before the preseason in 04/05) who was the only player with premiership experience.Whats more I think our signings this year have been lots better than the washed up, looking for one last big pay day players that we signed last time - Jonson, Helveg being 2 examples. If you include J.V and Ritchie De Laet as 2 more players with premiership experience then the list just grows...We almost stayed up last time with a far worse squad (in my opinion) so I''m full of confidence that we can stay up this time!OTBC!
3. I''m off to Sweden in a couple of weeks- I''ll be taking my Norwich shirt/s with me and I fully expect to encounter a few City fans [:D]Incidently I was in New York the week before we played Leeds at home in League One and whilst I was wearing my Norwich shirt this guy came up to me and said ''hey man, on the ball city, lets hope you beat Leeds'' [:D]We ARE massive!
4. My last a-level exam was yesterday...To be honest all of my time from March onwards has been spent revising and focusing on the exams.I''m going to Sweden at the end of this month so that should be good [:)]
5. If FIFA 11 is anything to go by De Laet will be extremely impressive for us....Norwichs best defender by a country mile by far on the game [Y]
6. Thanks mate [:)] I had two today [:(] English Lang. and Lit was 3 hours and media 2 and a half hours - I wrote so much and frantically I''ve got a blister on my thumb [:$]
7. My last A-level exam at 9am tomorrow - only an hour and a half and it''s Politics a subject I find easier than English language and Literature.....Better than that though! When I finish at 10:30 I''ll be buzzing to find out our PREMIERSHIP [:D] fixtures and then I''ll be completely free for the summer until september-ish.Tomorrow is going to be so brilliant. Hope it''s good for everyone else on here as well [Y]WE ARE PREMIERLEAGUE[;)] might even treat myself to the new shirt... [:P]
8. I would suggest that Harry Redknapp is a manager who needs a lot of money to suceed.... Look at his spells at Portsmouth, Southampton and Spurs... West Ham he got lucky with the quality youth team IMO. He isnt THAT good a manager.
9. Mine: 1. Liverpool          2. The Gold scum          3. Man Utd           4. Arsenal           5. Leeds.... oh sh** [:P]
10. is about 7 goals but thats not the point I''m trying to make [;)]They think that signing individuals is the way forward- well good for them but we all know what happened last year in the 2 matches and we all know where we finished the season. My point is - and yes I have performed a bit of a u-turn- it doesnt really matter if we dont sign massive ''names'' because we should have the confidence in Paul Lambert and his coaching staff and their ability to mould a ''team''! If the scum think signing Chopra will instantly result in the promotion then they are even more deluded than I thought- Wickham was meant to be brilliant... what was the score when he last played against us? Its no good having ''names'' if they play awfully as a team. We need to boost the team and that means we might not always get the biggest names- Matthew Jarvis for the Gold scum was signed from Gillingham...
11. Sounds like a plan [Y]And then we can go for a pint or 2 [;)]
12. Does anybody else hold the opinion that J.R will be our first choice goalkeeper next year?I really hope he will be [:)]
13.
I''m a bit old for name and numbers, but the premier league font and badges is quite enticing I''ll be honest. Who to get? My name, players name, something funny. I was thinking ''Wessi 14''
Did you get that idea before or after I gave you the idea on MSN? [:|]Screw you man [;)]
14. I''m planning my revision tomorrow around looking and maybe placing an order for the new kit [;)]Does anyone know if premiership numbers/letters/badges are available yet?
15. The only thing I agree with is that we dont have enough premiership experience..but then again.... we didnt have much championship experience and look what happened there [;)]
16. For a moment there I thought you were indicating that you thought league 2 is the same standard as the prem...silly me...
17. So no real source just rumour mongering?I think I''ll pass on this thank you....
18. Does anybody actually give a f*ck?No offence Wizzy but this is hardly Norwich City related is it....
19. Just spent the morning and early afternoon revising, now I''m watching ''the Damned united'' on iplayer. Clougie was a genius [Y] although he took Derby from the 2nd division to the top of the 1st division so Lambert''s achievement will be bigger [;)]
20.
Hope it goes well for him. Never let us down when called upon and came across as a real team man. Probably a better player than many people on here gave him credit for.
I agree. Gill always impressed me when I saw him play in home games. Best of luck to him [:)]
21. I would agree with that and  Lambo said he wanted 7 in. James Vaughan, Morison, Bennett and Johnson tends to suggest that the strikers are all signed up and that midfield is pretty much sewn up as well.   It depends whether Lambo thinks we need a new goalkeeper or not...   I would suggest we do...
22.
If Lambert is to be believed (and lets face it we have no reason to distrust him) we were after 7 players at the start of the transfer window. So far we''ve obviously signed 2 strikers - J.V and S.M so that leaves us with 5 more for Lamberts aims to be achieved. What positions do we feel need to be improved? For me: Snodgrass, Bennett, FF, a new right back, a new center half and Bradley Johnson will be on Lamberts wishlist. As an aside do people think that signing Snodgrass will mean we dont go after E.B? OTBC
So Bradley Johnson and E.B looking like signing on the dotted line takes us to 4 down 3  to go? Snodgrass, Richie De Laet (versatile defender) and a new goalkeeper would be great [Y]
