1. 7 houses raided in Luton today on grounds of plotting a terrorist attack in this country. What bigots those police are.......
 2. He has been fantastic since he''s been back in the team. Really composed and comfortable on the ball, the type of player we have been missing, I''m probably alone in this but I thought he was actually at fault for the goal yesterday, whilst Ruddy didn''t make the best clearance, it did go directly to O''Neil who''s heavy touched allowed Sanchez in.
 3. Does anyone else think that Daryl Murphy looks a bit like Grant Holt?Obviously isn''t fit enough to tie Holts laces but they look the spitting image of each other
 4.

Football matches. We could lose football matches.Besides, our main problem so far this season hasn''t been at that end of the pitch. It''s been the other end.Goals scored: 16 (11th in the league)Goals conceded: 24 (equal 16th in the league)
But the whole point is that we are already are losing football matches - more than half of those that we''ve played. We''ve tried just about every option/combination/formation that we''ve got in defence and we''ve still only kept 1 clean sheet out of 13 games and lost 7 games. It''s unlikely that we''re suddenly going to see a dramatic improvement at that end of the pitch, at least until January.Despite scoring 16 goals we''ve only managed to score more goals than the opposition in 3 matches. We have had plenty of opportunities to get something from games that we''ve lost but too many chances have been squandered by our strikers who have only managed to contribute a quarter of the goals we''ve scored. Based on our record, and our lack of ability to defend, the fact is that we need to score more goals than we are.
Welcome to the Premier League.....Leicester have only kept 2 clean sheets, last one being this saturday, and they are sat top of the league, yet to see any of their fans moaning about clean sheets. We kept loads of clean sheets under Hughton and people were moaning (and rightly so) about the lack of goals, start of this season we were scoring for fun but conceding, people were moaning about lack of clean sheets. Can''t win
 5. No idea Bor, but if he had a bang average season for us and we offered 5m or whatever I''m sure they would have taken it.
 6.
Good point making plans
It''s a rubbish point. Lafferty has never scored more than 11 league goals in a season, he has played in the championship, scottish premiership and a poor italian league. Why will he suddenly set the premier league alight?
 7. I was actually looking back at past Harry Kane threads a few weeks ago and chuckled, same idiots on here giving the club abuse for no ambition, Hughton getting a panic striker in and being clueless etc etc. Fans never gave him a chance on the pitch either, remember his missing a late one on one against West Ham and the crowd pretty much booing. What a signing he could have been, whatever you think of Hughton, the majority of his signings were excellant and he had a real eye for a player.
 8. Historically we''ve always been in the top 2 tiers of English football, so we are where we should be. It all depends how you want to judge the size of a club though, in terms of fan bases we have a bigger fan base than quite a few premier league clubs. In terms of finances, we should be in and around the bottom reaches of the premier league, but whilst finances help massively, they aren''t everything, of course you''d need to spend a good 500m to compete for the top 4 spots but if you look at Villa and Newcastle, they spent roughly a combined 100m this summer and are below us in the table.
 9.
I disagree that when Costa cut inside Bennett it was then too late for Ruddy to do anything. On the contrary, JR should have anticipated just such an eventuality and been on his toes ready to come out and attack the ball. He was statuesque and gave Costa all the time in the world to place his shot. In fact I think a more confident, decisive and agile keeper would not have just waited to see whether Bennett was able to deal with the threat but been on the move earlier to try and intervene decisively himself. That is what a better keeper would have done -- as witness several instances in recent Premier League games.
I think this post is almost as laughable as the people who blamed Martin for a cross coming in to the box.So what you''re saying is, Ruddy''s major flaw is not being psychic? Why on earth would any keeper come rushing out when there was a defender covering, madness.
 10.
The question however is how we weed out the "enemy within". We can bomb ISIL back to the Stone Age and yet the majority of the killers and organisers of the Paris killings were naturalised or native French and Belgians. The 7/7 bombers were British. The war is as much within our own borders as without.
Regulate our mosques and Imans, work with the decent muslim community and get their support to oust these nutters. For people to stop shouting racist when somebody points out there is a serious issue with Islam. In Turkey tonight the minutes silence was booed by half the stadium who started chanting "Allah Akhbar" (god is great), this is a muslim country within Europe, the problem is huge.
 11. However you look at it, a large number of muslims haven''t intergrated in to our society and want to change the way we live, our freedom of speech and want us to adopt Sharia Law, with some areas already being governed by Sharia Law. For example, 08/02/15, thousands of British Muslims protested outside of Downing Street over the publication of the Prophet Muhammed in the Charlie Hebdo magazine, a magazine which has also taken the mick out of every religion going. Watch this protest in Luton in which hundreds to thousands are protesting chanting "British Police burn in hell" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgKMI1wV0psHundreds of Muslims protesting trying to get alcohol banned in the UK, led by the hate preacher Anjem Choudharyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkIQWz_UKiM Video of Muslim gangs walking round London threatning people who were drinking alcohol, who were homosexual or who were going to certain areas of the city which were Muslim only  http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/3555/sharia-law-londonNow I appreciate these are a small minority of idiotic people who do want to change the way we live and our values, but there has been countless other protests over ridiculous things. I know of one small anti ISIS march from British muslims and fair play to them. This is a survey carried out within British Mosques...http://pamelageller.com/2015/07/british-mosques-and-imams-refuse-to-condemn-the-islamic-state-isis.html/49% endorse hate preachers, 30% approved of the Charlie Hebdo executions, 40% of UK Muslims want Sharia law implemented and 20% had sympathy for the suicide bombers. No doubt you''ll just rubbish it as codswallop or whatever but there is a serious issue in the UK with Islam, Bradford, Luton, Birmingham etc all have large areas where a non-muslim just isn''t welcome and it''s dangerous to visit, saw a news article recently in Luton where elderly white folk and jamaican folk were being driven out of their homes by young muslim gangs with bricks being thrown through their windows on a regular basis. British mosques need to be governed properly because they can''t do it themselves, to date, no potential terrorist has been put forward by a British mosque. As I''ve said numerous times, the vast majority of muslims are good people who enjoy the british way of life and enjoy the freedom of speech that they now have, for anybody to judge a muslim on these isis nutters is just plain wrong, but at the same time it''s just plain wrong to assume all muslims are british loving peaceful people. In terms of immigration, we are absolutely right to take the people who are fleeing from war zones and who''s lives are at risk, but they still need to go through a screening process and not placed somewhere like Bradford (which the first batch have been) because that''s hardly intergration is it. Also need to remember that 4 in 5 "refugees" aren''t even from Syria, a large number have come from Albania which is a country at peace and a lot of African countries as well, these people have passed through dozens of peaceful countries to get to the wealthier countries in the north, such as the UK, France and Germany, so as I''ve said hundreds of times, they are economic migrants. Do some research in the destruction that has been caused in small towns in Germany, local citizens have been murdered and raped by these people, which is why I was saying it is insane to have an open door policy and anybody with half a brain would agree.
 12.
If we take your logic then because there was a prevalence for paedophilia amongst a certain generation and it was not then widely publicly condemned then we should think that those of that generation on here are paedophiles. So either your argument it totally twisted or are you suggesting your generation all had a serious problem?
It wasn''t publically known until the last few years in which there has been large public condemnation. Muslim communities protest about everything and anything except terror attacks done in their name. Or are we going to pretend that''s not the truth as well?
 13.
So trying to help out your fellow man in their time of crisis is politically correct? Sounds rather Christian to me.
Helping out our fellow man is the right thing to do, but it has to be done properly, and not at the detriment of our safety.
 14.
For those who have been suffering from a Daily Mail news blackout here''s the statement from the leader of the Muslim Council of Great Britain made yesterday : -   “The attacks once again in Paris are horrific and abhorrent, and we condemn this violence in the strongest possible terms. My thoughts and prayers for the families of those killed and injured and for the people of France, our neighbours. This attack is being claimed by the group calling themselves ‘Islamic State’. There is nothing Islamic about such people and their actions are evil, and outside the boundaries set by our faith.”
Fair play, and things like this will go a long way to defeating radical Islam. A year or so ago, thousands of muslims took to the streets in the UK to protest against their prophet being drawn, why have we never seen a protest against the horrendous terror acts ISIS commit across the world and on our land? If British muslims protested against this terror attack in Paris (they protest against everything else) then it would build massive bridges between the British people and the muslim communities and the British people would march alongside them in unity, what a message that would send out. Unfortunately, it won''t happen though.
 15.

Sorry am late to the party, been travelling all day, but I will pick up on this political correctness thing.Far too often anyone who expresses concern at things we are discussing is branded a hater and a racist.Folks need to realise that there is a common sense middle ground, not driven by hate, but fear for our loved ones safety, and you shouldn''t mix up concerned citizens with frothing Britain First idiots.
Yes, I agree entirely. That said - for the record, and in my opinion - anyone who look at the Paris attacks says "the politically correct now have blood on their hands" is a frothing Britain First idiot.
So because I''ve been saying since this crisis started that Europe shouldn''t open it''s borders and allow 100''s of thousands of people arrive, most of which we know nothing about, what background they have come from, or what their intentions are etc, and I firmly believe that British mosques need regulating with hate preachers being kicked out of the country, and lo and behold 6 home grown terrorists and 2 "refugees" have now gone and killed hundreds of people in Paris, that makes me a far right activist? Or perhaps I was just right all along and the people who allowed this to happen (the politically correct), now need to stand up in front of the family and friends of the poor souls that were murdered in Paris and explain themselves.
 16.

Does it say anywhere in the Koran, that people are entitled to their own opinion, and that must be respected?
No, it say''s non believers will have their heads striked off.
Does it? Have you read the book or are you just falling into the same trap that a lot of uneducated Muslims are?
So when you meet those who disbelieve, strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds.Exact quote. The Qu''ran needs modernising. Even moderate British muslims have admitted that.
 17.

Opinion polls would suggest that a very unhealthy proportion do indeed hold these views. Try drawing a cartoon of Mohammed and tell me how it goes.
How much constitutes an ''unhealthy proportion''? I believe polls showed that a large majority of Muslims found the depictions of the prophet to be offensive - but a very small minority approved of the reprisals meted out in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks. In any case, having some sympathy with terrorists who carry out such atrocities is very, very different from being prepared to carry out or even to openly condone such actions.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/11433776/Quarter-of-British-Muslims-sympathise-with-Charlie-Hebdo-terrorists.htmlIn my opinion, British Muslims need to be more vocal in denouncing these terror attacks, thousands are quick to take to the streets when a picture of the Prophet Mohammed is published yet none take to the streets when these terror attacks occur. You insult the Prophet (who was a murdering paedophile btw) around them and your life would be at risk.
The Prophet lived about 1,300 years ago. You are judging him based on 21st-century Western norms. I''ll just say now that I am an atheist with no sympathy towards Islam or those who twist it to fulfil evil agendas, but it does concern me the way that people seem very keen to present Islam as a religion that defaults to barbarism and intolerance.I do agree that a lot of people would be reassured if there was a visible and heartfelt response from the British Muslim community against these attacks; however, one can hardly blame the community for recoiling in fear due the hatespeak meted out against their religion by people who don''t even come close to understanding it.
And do you not think that the grooming of children by asian gangs across the country went hand in hand with the religion? ISIS follow the Koran to it''s truest form, which has no place in modern society as it''s a stone age religion. The muslims living and coming to Britain should be educated first before being allowed in to a modern society, raping children and treating woman as a second class citizen is not acceptable in western society.

 20.
The fact that you keep blaming this on political correctness makes me think that you support UKIP perhaps?
I agree with their stance on Europe yes, but that''s all they had going for them, so no, I voted conservatives.
 21.
I was out drinking with a Muslim immigrant on Friday night. They were the first to tell me the news. I appreciate that some people who were brought up in another time or have a low intelligence, are poorly brought up or are poorly educated may find it difficult to grasp and are scared of different people but ignorant hatred will only contribute to the problem not solve it. Judge the person not their race or religion.
I''m afraid your muslim friend was either lying to you or was an extremely moderate muslim because muslims aren''t allowed to drink alcohol. But, I agree with what you are saying, got a muslim chap who runs the local corner shop to me, really nice guy who I have a lot of time for, often spend ages chatting to him. It is wrong to judge somebody on their race or religion, but at the same time, we are also getting judged by our race or religion, there are a lot of muslims in the UK who are very racist towards english white people, and vice versa, difference is, they''d never get called racist.
 22.

Blaming refugees for this attack is misguided and blinkered.  There are problems with radicalised Muslims across western society and blaming refugees doesn''t help tackle the enemy within... remember July 7th 2005?Thank goodness we''re an island.
This may well be true but allowing unfettered access through your borders is an open invitation to have your hospitality abused. Does anybody really believe that ISIS haven''t taken advantage of this regrettable laps in security?
I''m sure a few of them have.  Unfortunately that is the price we pay for standing up for freedom, compassion and believing that humans are essentially, and on the whole, decent people who just want to get on.The alternative is you shrug, say "nothing to do with me", and leave them to it.  Which, regardless of the reasons why Syria and Iraq find themselves in the state they are in, doesn''t feel like a world I want to live in.
That sounds all very nice and civilized when you are talking to reasonable people who are open to logical persuasion but this isn''t the case. What do you think will happen to our nice liberal western values, freedom of speech and thought if this nihilistic death cult ever held sway? The extreme end of Islam interprets a book that gives them carte blanche to enslave and abuse non believers and even slaughter them like cattle. A civilization that loses the will to defend its values is headed for the dustbin of history.
Uh oh, prepare to be called a bigot for speaking the truth. We''ve already started to lose our values, too many people willing to keep their heads buried in the sand in the name of political correctness.
 23.

Political correctness has already killed dozens perhaps hundreds of people in Paris
This is possibly the most stupid sentence ever written on this message board - and my goodness you have some stiff competition.Delete your account, then delete your computer and then delete all the hate from your brain.
Oh my apologies, I must have dreamt the bit about people holding up banners welcoming refugees in to Europe and one of said refugees blowing themselves up outside a packed football stadium killing dozens of people. I have no hate in my brain, just common sense, are you denying there is a problem within Islam?
 24.
Two of the Paris gunmen ''were from Brussels''Two of the attackers involved in the Paris atrocity came from Brussels, reports Belgian public broadcaster RTBF.A police source told RTBF that two of the attackers in Paris on Friday night were from Brussels and one of its districts, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, respectively. So that''s three gunmen identified partially or fully now - one from Paris, two from Brussels. There is the Syrian passport found at the scene but no confirmation on this yet.Blaming refugees for this attack is misguided and blinkered.  There are problems with radicalised Muslims across western society and blaming refugees doesn''t help tackle the enemy within... remember July 7th 2005?Thank goodness we''re an island.
It''s not blinkered or misguided, we don''t know who is coming in to Europe and what attrocities they will commit in the future. Why is there a problem with radical muslims across Western society? Because as soon as you speak up you get called an islamaphobe or racist or bigot etc, which is why I said political correctness can now kill you. We''ve even had a police force cover up child explotation and rape for the fear of being called racist. And why are you thankful we''re an island? If any european country grants them asylum they can just stroll in to our country.
 25.
''the harsh reality of the situation'' Don''t say something incredibly stupid and then claim it as reality. Political correctness is not going to kill you, in fact it might teach you a few things. There is no doubt that some terrorists will have gone through borders as ''refugees'' but don''t blame the attacks on the people accepting refugees into their country, blame it on the terrorists -(state the obvious I know).
Political correctness has already killed dozens perhaps hundreds of people in Paris, with one confirmed as being a "refugee" and it''s now being reported they think another one of the killers was as well. I''m all for accepting genuine refugees in to our country, the ones that we are taking from Lebanon and Jordan, the ones who are in Calais atm are economic migrants, a vast majority not even having come from a war zone. You don''t see the Germans welcoming the "refugees" anymore at their airports, some of their towns have been turned in to warzones.
