1.
reminds me a bit of andy marshall,
Oh God... Please no... Not again!I remember Worthington making some kind of speech when Marshall left us for the binners. "Never ever again..." or was that Churchill??
 2. I had been hoping that the fans give Worthy a chance this season... But he just doesn''t seem to help himself... If Sutton wanted to come back to Norwich so much that he got his representatives to contact the club, surely he was willing to take a suitable pay-cut to play out his career Carrow Road? And with such a legend back at the club with a couple of goals in the first few games, surely the manager would be straight back in every Worthy-Outer''s good books. So, for this reason (and the fact that Sutton is the ideal target-man we''re missing up front), I think Worthy has made a BIG miscalculation here.
 3. I remember Bob Cooper calling Worthy "one of the brightest young managers in the game" when he was first promoted from assistant manager. I was terrified after what I''d heard from Blackpool fans of up-and-under football and relegation... But, eventually, I warmed to him and, in fairness, he had to prove his worth the hard way... I don''t remember anyone being particularly excited about his appointment as manager. But now I feel like we should give the guy some slack. He''s not the same manager as he was in his first job at Blackpool, as proven by our championship winning season, and he''s had a tough time this season with a much changed lineup, injuries to key players etc... Not to mention having had the fans at his throat for over half the season. I feel as if every time our club has brough in a new manager in recent history, we just end up wasting lots of money and taking gradual steps backwards. Up until this season Worthy has been the exception to this rule (I felt that the Premiership season simply wasn''t the flop that everyone paints it as).... But the team still managed a 9th placed finish which is better than any other manager (other than Rioch... just) has achieved since 1995. In my mind a new manager is still not worth the gamble.
 4. Look at the Prem season. Easiest fixture of the season came first (Palace, home)... Messed up and then went into 8 straight games against all of the top teams (other than chelsea) on a low ebb. It was a near miracle that Soton were still below us and we hadn''t already been cast adrift after that lot. I would suggest it might be best to get a mixed bag of middle-of-the-road teams early on, with perhaps a couple of tricky ones thrown in... Then the team should be firing on all cylinders by the time the easier must-win fixtures come around.
 5. Steve Foley isn''t to blame. It''s Nigel Worthington... All Nigel Worthington. It''s all his fault. Everything.
 6. Web Team??How about an Evening News/Pink''Un campaign to bring Sutton to Carrow Road? Perhaps start with an interview with the man himself... Fan/media pressure can make the difference... Remember when Delia shelled out money from her own pocket to buy Cedric Anselin.... and Hucks.... Okay they both proved their worth at the club first, but Sutton did too, albeit over a decade ago now.
 7.
ok so I am not worthys biggest fan.   but simon charlton, give me a break.   he was a bad signing, and played out of position, when he moved for first team football, it was a parting shot, no more.   i say good to see him go.   does anyone remember when worthy got rid of yves de basilis, he talked about how worthy only liked english players, people forgot that very quickly.   it does however leave us with only 1 senior left back, and to be honest I fear for the kids coming through, as midfielder, centre back, or right back will probably be forced to play there at least once next year, and then worthy will be shocked why they dont play so well.
I think I''m inclined to agree with your de Blasiis comparison. Perhaps I was just in the mood for a conspiracy when I read the quote last night. I guess we''ll just have to see what the rest of the players leaving this summer have to say.
 8. The first player to break ranks? Or just a cynical parting shot?If it''s the first, it could potentially be many times more damaging for Worthy than any of his jibes at the fans. If Charlton''s concerns are shared by others, perhaps the dressing room is not as united as many have claimed... And if every player leaving this summer (and perhaps one or two of those staying) has a similar viewpoint, Worthy could be left in his most precarious position yet. Up until now, the manager, the board and the players have been able to show a united front in the face of fan protests, but this may become increasingly difficult. This could, of course, all be rubbish... But as a fan who has favoured sticking with Worthy over the uncertainty of a managerial merry-go-round, I can''t help but see Charlton''s statement as indicative of the growing frustration of other players.
 9.
Incidentally Rossi, the reason for delaying the input until September should be quite obvious. There is a transfer window open until the end of August that can significantly influence the club''s ambition/potential.
September... Norwich... Pish posh, is that all you can do? I predicted all of the major placings in the Championship... champions, automatic promotion, play offs and relegation with a whole two weeks of the season remaining! What''s more, I expect to be able to tell you the winner of the play-offs well before the start of next season.
 10. This sounds like one of those posts that people will be pointing back to next season when everyone is slating worthy for having signed them.
 11. So you''re all booing the "football", not the "team". Still doesn''t explain cheering when the opposition scores!!
 12. If people feel like they need to boo the team in order to make them lose, surely that suggests that they think they might win otherwise... And wouldn''t that mean that these same people think that the current coaching staff are capable of getting results??? I feel lost in a sea of hatred and reprisals.
 13. Thanks MP. Link, as I say, nobody has any REAL positions to play for in this division on the last day. So, as far as the also-rans go, 7th is pretty important, not to mention that the match is 7th vs 8th, and we''re talking about Wolves! (as previously stated) Anyway, as I say, this is all lost on most and, either way, the sooner this season is over the better for all of us WO, KTF, KO, KFC, whoever.
 14.
no the 3 points werent good enough....  Yes winning is all that matters
And therein lies the contradiction.
 15.
Its very simple and doesnt really need answering , if Worthington is still here it WILL carry on next season , so many fans now hate him and are not going to change their minds .Peace for next season = Worthington getting sacked.
Sad... But probably true.I just hope that a win against Wolves next week, and a long summer for fans to cool off and reflect on things will leave the vast majority throwing their support behind the TEAM, rather than the WO witch hunt, come August.Perhaps a positive end to the campaign on the pitch (and the break) could have a good effect on the players and management also... Stranger things have happened. I think few would deny that the negativity surrounding the end of season thrashing at Fulham had shockwaves extending well into this season.Whichever way, I don''t think the end of the season can come soon enough!
 16.
Does it matter how we win games or are the three points not good enough???
I can see the irony... But you won''t get through to most of the people on this board anymore. Only the "feeble minded", apparently.
 17. No doubt this will come as scant compensation to the negative-minded hordes gathered over this message board but, with everything effectively decided in the Championship last weekend, our end of season battle with the black and gold scum will probably be the most hotly-contested encounter of the day. Okay, we''re only playing for 7th place... But come on... This is Wolves we''re talking about... Can anyone here SERIOUSLY say they''d like to see us beaten by WOLVES!!!
 18. Silver Canary... YOU are an embarrassment. It is people like you that undermine the legitimacy of the petition, not the organisers. If you want more signatures, perhaps you could volunteer to help collect them rather than committing fraud.
 19.

Completely sensible - they just want to make as much money out of us as possable. Sold a player for 7 million and bought one for 3 - there''s 4 million for a start off and where did the 20 million premiership money go!
Well that was pretty poor for a start!Spending 3 million on a replacement? Did they learn nothing from Mr Chase and his fine "how to bleed a club dry" philosophy?Completely sensible? What are you on? I want some...
I was being sarcastic - my point is that they made 4 million from this as well as the 20 million profit from the premiership!
STOP IT!!!!! All you do is spout rubbish. Most of it libellous. Ashton cost £3.5million. Of the £7million received, around £1.5million was shared between Crewe, Ashton and his agent... So that''s £2m profit, not £4m, and neither does it account for the signing on fees and wages that the club paid him during his 12 months at CR.£20million for the Prem... Firstly it''s not that much (more like £10m), secondly, all of it was spent on new players, huge Premiership salaries, paying back loans for the ground expansion the previous season and refinancing the club''s (at the time) £7million+ outstanding debt.I would suggest that you read through some of the club''s yearly financial reports before you throw anymore figures at us.
 20. Honest Joe is clearly not for real and is just on a wind up mission. Just read his signature, it sounds like it''s written by a five year old. Good on you Joe for getting a rise out of all the negative morons that seem to have taken over this board... There''s little room for serious debate anymore with the kind of people that seriously come out in favour of hailing abuse at our own players during games, so why not just have a bit of a laugh getting their heckles up.I thought for a while that Silver Canary might be a wind up merchant from the opposite tack... but I think he might actually be for real!?! Scary thought!
 21. The only thing in favour of Rioch and Hamilton is that they jumped before they were pushed... Hence the lack of protests. Here''s a question for you all though... Who was the last Norwich manager to be sacked?? I honestly don''t know the answer. I remember Walker left in dubious circumstances his second time round, but officially his departure was by "mutual consent".
 22.
Leon McKenzie... we win when he''s fit jas :)
If it''s a player that we haven''t looked the same team without it would have to be Safri. But, like Leon, he''s not really played enough games to be in the reckoning. So, McVeigh all the was for me!
 23.
I am Disgusted to see so many fans liking a player who all he''s good at doing is work. Great effort no skill ! I am sure players who play at schoolboy level would run around alot and show effort. Doesn''t mean to say there good. I used to play winger in my day and I was a quick player much like Mckenzie I showed effort why am I not in the Norwich first team. I was actually a skillfull player who liked the odd step-over, Cryff turn and the old Maradona spin- yet people like me are out shone by the workers, the "athletes"- in Mckenzie''s case- a boxer ! he quick, he can dribble (ish) He has effort, he''s a 50 p head who has more chance of scoring with his backside or his chest than scoring with his 2 left feet ! I am a fan of his work rate it''s good for the team. But not good for the goal For column !
Of course... The old "even my gran''s could put the ball in the net from there". Get over yourself and ffs STOP SHOUTING!! (sorry if that''s too personal)McKenzie... Injects energy into the team, has scored a fair few goals in big games... Scum, Chelski, Man U etc. But, yes, is somewhat lacking in skill..... But I challenge anyone to name a single player in the squad that could be described as "skillful" (with exception of Safri, WLY and maybe Hux).McKenzie had a bad game, but he simply can''t be singled out for blanket criticism like this when everyone else was so poor on the day, and when he''s been one of our few players in recent weeks that has really taken on the mantle. He''s no carrow road legend, but he does his job a lot better than most of the current squad. I think he''s best as a sub, especially when Earnie''s a pretty similar player, but I''m not complaining if he can average a goal every other game.
 24.
to attack the Barclay 2nd half
True, the "Worthy Out" chants have been harsh. But to use physical violence your most loyal group of supporters... Surely that''s just counter-productive! How about erecting a sound-proof plexiglass screen between the stand and the pitch whenever the away team takes the lead or Worthy makes a questionable substitution??
 25.
I don''t wanna put a downer on it but we are 11th.....  wow great.....  woo hoo, we just drew!!!  yeah we drew....  some people say we deserved to win others say we had no shots at all in the first 45 minutes of play.....  hell even leeds looked nervy - scared of 2nd place nodoubt Great result but in the end we are 11th....  about the same as Bruce Rioch''s side with Kings Lyn Starlets Shaun Carey and Cedric Ancelin in the team...  thats the size of our failure.... And don''t mention Southampton - they have had to sell more or less every first teamer from last season - we could have had an almost identical squad.
I''ve just realised that you''ve posted that identical message in two threads. Stop hijacking the debate... It''s just getting boring.
