Long Fisher Duffy Cordoba Doyle Schwartau Sorenson Marcondes Gordon Crnac Sainz Mair Hanley Stacey Chrisene Forson Springett Fassnacht Would love to see on the bench: Uriah Djedje: 18, unit of a CDM from the U21s. Errol Mundle-Smith - 18, Striker, in good form for the U21s.

So many captains are strikers? Of course we are all entitled to our own opinions but i find the view a striker can't be a captain baffling. Just some examples off of the top of my head: Historically: Thierry Henry Raul Francesco Totti Alan Shearer More Recently: Robert Lewandowski Kylian Mbappe Heung Min Son Ivan Toney Harry Kane And For Us: Grant Holt Iwan Roberts

Sorenson. This way we only make one change instead of 2 (Fisher leaving RB to move into CM). Mclean has been our most defensive midfielder so Sorenson, although a different type of player, is the most natural replacement. My prediction: Long Fisher Duffy Cordoba Doyle Sorenson Slimane Marcondes Crnac Sainz Sargent (c)

Who would you pick as captain?
NR32-Yellow replied to Satriales's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Sargent for me. I believe that Duffy having the armband wouldn't change anything on the pitch he would continue to lead and be as vocal as normal. Just my opinion but i believe giving Sargent the armband would give him responsibility that he hasn't had before, encouraging him to step up into a leadership role that will hopefully give us an extra leader on the pitch in future. -
Which player is most anxious?
NR32-Yellow replied to In my blood's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Thanks for the list Feedthewolf. Here's my opinion (for what it's worth): Gunn - New contract, top goalkeeper for the Championship and great back up for the Prem if Thorup decides he'd like to bring a new GK in. (If we get promoted in Thorup's tenure). Hanley - Released. Shame. Great servant. Big decline since his injury and needs regular games to get some kind of form before his contract is up, which he won't get. Warner - New 1 or 2 year deal and loaned out in January 2025 for some regular football. Tomkinson (+1) - Released. Strong competition of young CB's and he doesn't seem to be fancied. Shipley - Released, well down the pecking order. Hernandez (+1) - Released, will be great use this season to help knit a new team together but not worth a new contract. Shame. Barnes (+1) - Released. However, i noticed on Barnes' Instagram story that he has started studying coaching. Wouldn't surprise me if a new contract is agreed with the view to him being a backup option (3rd/4th choice) and going into a coaching role with the U21's once he retires. No trigger of the +1 though as his current wage is too high. Fassnacht (+1) - Released. doesn't strike me as a Thorup type player. Don't think he will get a starting place under him this season. Long - Released. Barden to be No2/3 next year alongside Mair. Sørensen (+1) - Released. Been here to long without ever looking like a regular starter. More wages off the bill to help continue the rebuild. Mair (+1) - Trigger the +1. Good back up option and i'd assume on smaller wages than Long. Djedje - New deal needs to be given ASAP. I think this lad has a lot of potential and i'd be very disappointed to lose him. Doyle - No chance of keeping unless we get promoted. Gordon - I'd imagine a return to Liverpool. Could he have a break out season like Hutchinson with them lot down the road and we sign them if Thorup pulls off a miracle and we go up? Slimane - Sign him. Think it will be made mandatory by his use this season. Manning (+1) - Released, doesn't seem to be one Thorup has his eye on. -
For me, today is all about keeping hold of Sargeant. However i have a bad feeling we will lose him to Brentford once they sell Toney, which i believe is being held up by clubs fighting over Osimhen. I just hope whoever we have lined up to replace him is a sufficient replacement. Id actually happily sell Kamara. Any youngster who isn't prepared to fight for their place and would happily chose to play for and live in Hull over Norwich can and should be moved on. I really would love a left footed out and out winger similar to Sainz to replace him. (Ironically, what we were hoping Kamara would be).

Blackburn Predictions
NR32-Yellow replied to Midlands Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Norwich City 1 - 3 Blackburn Rovers Sainz our goalscorer. Bright Start, more signs of Thorup ball coming through but sloppy mistakes will cost us. Keep the faith though people, patience is needed. -
I just posted in the Idah chat that i wouldn't mind us going for Tommy Conway. His contract is up at the end of the season, good age and has Championship experience. I believe he is training with their U21's because he doesn't want to sign a new contract. I know Boro have a strong interest in him but i don't know how far along that deal is. I think we will have someone lined up from abroad.

Would be very happy with, Stansfield. Also wouldn't mind us going for Tommy Conway from Bristol City. I think his contract is up at the end of season so could be available at a good price. Middlesbrough are supposedly very interested in him. I think we will have someone lined up from abroad.

Abu Kamara - 47, I see what he's done there (AK47) I remember when Aboubacar Kamara signed for Fulham and he took the same number.
