  1. Can't see us having an issue if like you say it's within the rules. Don't think loyalty will be an issue with Bloomfield, I think this is club 15 and he's only 22! That must be some sort of record? Francomb must be buzzing for this draw also!
  2. In fairness Lampard looks to be doing that with Mount and Abraham although possibly only because of their transfer embargo.
  3. Looking forward to Zimmermann coming back though of course.
  4. Other than being turned inside out like he was playing Sunday league the morning after a bender by Shelvey, I felt that Grant Hanley looked decent against Newcastle considering he barely played competitive football last season. His passing whilst predictable was reliable and I thought he played the ball out pretty well for a big man. I'm not saying he's anything other than fourth choice when all fit but we've had worse at the back at this level.
  5. Will he be allowed to play in the cup game?
  6. Good player and the required work ethic for Farke, but not quite a good enough team player and would sometimes keep the ball too long as a result? Guess we'll never know whether Farke could have coached that out of him. Its going to have to be a young Darren Kenton for me, travesty that he didn't go further in the game and looked two levels above us before going backwards at Southampton. Would love to see how far he could have gone with this current coaching team considering what they've done to our current crop. Plus we could do with a centre back at the minute but most of our legendary ones are in the old fashioned Grant Hanley mould!
  7. I'm sure they were impressed but would have been nothing new for them, particular the German two.. They'd consider it standard.
  8. But football has evolved so it's all relative. I'd argue that Crook could easily be compared with Leitner. Crook considered one of the best English players never to be capped by England, Leitner will be the German equivalent at this rate. But pitches are half synthetic now, boots weight half as much, balls are lighter and more aerodynamic.... Crooky still had to try and be a playmaker on pitches which had more mud than grass. So its not a simple direct comparison. Chris Sutton went for a British record fee the following year based on his performances that season. What would we have to sell a player for next season to achieve that feat again? I don't actually know the answer but Maguire just went for over £80m didn't he? Ruel Fox a great winger and went on to play at the top level for years? Jeremy Goss bang average but famous throughout the country for some of his worldies.
  9. Well at least I now know that BobLoz3 is a bit overly sensitive. My point more than anything is that Krul had a shaky start but grew in confidence massively, so don't be too quick to rush to judgement on this German fella. Vrancic another who needed time to make an impact. The new players will grow in confidence and improve under Farke, that's what makes him a special manager and us a special club right now. Yes my username was chosen a few days before that goal, prophetic!
  10. The list of players you weren't initially impressed with last season probably includes Krul though right?
  11. This streaker chap does appear to have an extensive rap sheet though, at least four convictions for theft in Norwich having been a prolific shoplifter. So limit sympathy accordingly.
  12. You are the chiropractor mate, you tell us!
  13. Fell off a step ladder while trying to beat his record for the number of Argos catalogues he could stack. I reckon.
  14. We spent about £15m on two poachers and then set up to play ultra deep defensive football... Says more about the calibre of the non-playing staff at the time than the strikers in my opinion. It was probably the wrong league for him, but he also just so happened to be at quite possibly the worst club in that league for his style of play. All of our strikers looked utterly demoralised that year, Elmander often looked like he wanted to jump off the top of a multistorey car park.
  15. A lot of those views will be search engine bots and a lot of people read but don't have accounts you weirdo. I've just created one to underline this. As for your initial post, a long analysis of his time under Hughton, how utterly irrelevant and disrespectful to even raise that. How about there being much more to life than football and his previous employment being the very last thing on his, his families or his friends minds right now? It reads like an obituary. Get well soon Ricky, hope to see you on the pitch again soon but health is more important than kicking a ball around.
