  1. I will give the wide world a go. But on the Pink'un, you are still showing yourself up to be a droning whiny little whinger.
  2. Yes I am talking about the Pink'un. 70% of people on here wanted him out. Of the rest, only a handful have embarked on a week long moanathon.
  3. 70% of us didn't miss it. Are you going to say 70% of us have had a bad bump on the head?
  4. Todd Cantwell will be instantly elevated to star man status, ready to unleash his inner-Grealish. Rashica was courted by Smith for two years, they tried to sign him for £20m in summer 2020. Smith will have a plan to incorporate him into his system so that's at least one big ticket signing who won't be written off. Watkins is a player who thrived on through balls like Pukki, he did well for goals under Smith. Then you've got his record of taking Konsa and Watkins to Brentford, and then on to Villa, that's about £4m spent on the pair of them from League One and League Two, now quality Premier League players and one an England International. You've got Grealish going up a level under Smith and then sold for a record transfer fee for a British player (Pep still hasn't got him ticking like Smith has). In signing Ashley Young in the summer he's shown he's not afraid of a blend of youth and experience. And the bloke has never been relegated, so he's not exactly going to be in the mood to stick the first one on his CV this season is he? He's coming here because he thinks he can keep us up, simple, and I think the problem with Farke is very simple.... he didn't believe that he could. Can argue all day about whether Smith is an upgrade or a downgrade on Farke, but if one simply doesn't believe in himself and his players at this level then that is the end of the road. Welcome to Carrow Road Dean Smith. Deano! Deano! Deano! Deano! Deano! Deano!
  5. Yes, and I said that I hope Webber and Smith make you look like a massive tw*t, by keeping us up. Deano! Deano! Deano! Deano! Deano! Deano! He's going to play Cantwell and unleash his inner Grealish isn't he, absolutely buzzing about that. Farke managed to possess Cantwell, Tsoliz and Gilmour in his squad, and still couldn't find an XI which could create chances for Pukki. Anybody who can't see that Farke had lost the plot has definitely had a big bump on the head.
  6. Well everybody is hoping that Dean Smith makes you look like a giant tw*t this season and keeps you up after your comments over the past few days. Most of us are Norwich City fans and don't put any individual on a pedestal, nobody is bigger than the club. We've had good managers, bad managers, and in between managers, and even had a manager who had brilliant first spell and second sh*t one, attendances have remained consistently strong throughout, because most people aren't tantrum throwing flouncers. Deano! Deano! Deano!
  7. Will you be renewing in January then canarydan23? Or will you becoming an armchair fan like the other big tantrum thrower this week.
  8. It is very obvious that you don't realise that Dean Smith wasn't Villa manager that season for the first 13 games, and took them over in 14th. Good riddance, go and buy yourself a Man City shirt, you and Canarydan23 should ride share to the Etihad because he's thinking of giving up on the club too.
  9. Save yourself the money and listen to games on Radio Norfolk mate.
  10. Does that make it any better? Being willing to give up your season ticket in a big sulk? So you are excited by Dean Smith afteral then canarydan23? The only positive thing you've been able to muster is him not being Lampard. Wow, glowing. Just like you declared you were excited about our relegation to League One. Everybody else was worried about the football club surviving. Your comments about Dean Smith today have been ridiculous, the only person on here to have been dropped on their head is you. Go and read the posts by the Villa fan on this forum today which explains the rebuild and the likelihood that Smith has been pressured by playing Ings this season, a player that they think he didn't want, so being forced into playing too strikers as he wants Watkins on the pitch. They lost 14 players after promotion. A rebuild following promotion and yet survived. Similar to our influx of 11 players this season. Farke was taking too much time to get the ticking. Farke's major rebuild led to a write off season and 14th place finish, this summers rebuild has been a failure. Farke has shown before that he needs a year with a new squad. Smith managed to stay up with his. Context is everything and you are consistently unwilling to attempt to apply any if it doesn't suit your narrow agenda. No point in conversing any further, I intend to support our new manager. You can't even given him credit for taking Jack Grealish to a new level or guiding Watkins from £1.8m League Two player to England International.
  11. I'm talking about your post 2 days ago, when you said this.... "I go the games with my old man and father-in-law and they'd be pretty p*ssed off if I stopped going. That's the only thing keeping me going. Big decision to make in the new year when the renewals drop" If you feel this strongly about Dean Smith, then perhaps not renewing is a good idea.
  12. But if Lampard is who Webber wanted, then surely you are pleased that its Dean Smith - you'd previously said you'd want Smith over Lampard. Dean Smith can be credited for completely rebuilding Villa, successfully, and developing Grealish into the most expensive British player in history. Not a bad little record. Doesn't matter how much you like Farke, I think if you can't find anything at all to praise Smith for then you have either not done your research or are being really disingenuous. Lets not forget that Dean Smith also signed Ollie Watkins from Exeter at Brentford, then took him to Villa, and that Watkins is now an England International too. Signed for £1.8m from Exeter. How about Emi Martinez.... Arsenal fringe player to Argentine International and one of the best keepers in the Premier League. It doesn't feel like we need your 'support' at the moment, and giving up your season ticket sounds like a good idea until you can get over Farke. We are supposed to be Norwich fans, not Farke fans, no individual is bigger than the club.
  13. You sure about this? Dean Smith was not Villa manager for the first 13 games. I can't be arsed to calculate his win percentage for his portion of the season, but I know they won 10 games in a row at one point for 30/30 points.
  14. This is frankly a little ridiculous. You would have been hammering people earlier in the season for judging Farke on a five game run of defeats, in isolation, and yet will happily do that to bash Smith. Arteta survived 5 straight defeats this season didn't he? Currently 2 points off Liverpool and Champions league places. By all means continue to express your unhappiness with Webber and the board for giving up on Farke, but is it really necessary to continuously bash Dean Smith in the process? I don't think it is, none of this is his fault. He is a man who had a job interview, nothing else. You talked about giving up your season ticket the other day, if you are going to be bashing our (apparent) new manager from day 1 then perhaps that really is the best option for all concerned. Are you a Norwich fan or a Farke fan? Nobody is bigger than the club.
  15. Just to add another positive.. he's a huge Rashica fan, wanted him in summer 2020 and the January window which followed. We don't know what a Dean Smith system looks like yet, but we can be sure that he'll be having a go at getting Rashica ticking. so that's one big ticket signing who isn't getting written off too early!
  16. It is true. It is also true that Pep Guardiola has yet to get as much out of Jack Grealish as Dean Smith did. Lets not forget that Buendia went from £5m player to £37m under Farke's management, but that Grealish went to a whole new level under Smith and ended up going for £100m. Can't bash him for one without giving him some credit for the other.
  17. I don't think Webber or the board will confirm this one. "Hi, yes Dean Smith was our second choice"
  18. I'll remember to only read the title of any thread you post in the future then Alex, and reply accordingly. In fact, the forum might as well get rid of the text box entirely, we'll just become Wrath of the Barclay. The title did exactly what it was supposed to do, weed out the thickos who only read the newspaper headlines to form their world views, my wife's 88 year old grandad does exactly the same.
  19. Dry your eyes mate. You live in the first world, you have clean running water. Sense of perspective required, you are whinging. Are you one of those people who meets up with a mate and spends the entire hour talking about their own problems, never asking the other person who they are, and then eventually finds they never get asked out for a pint anymore? Because that's the impression I get from your week long droning moan binge.
  20. You could take 30 seconds to read my OP now if you like, and we could talk about who is going to be our new managers assistant. Well onto the second page and you are still too busy trying to s*ck me off instead of tackling the topic at hand.
  21. Whatever you do Creative Midfielder, don't ever reflect on the fact that we're all sitting on a big rock in a solar system which is 4.5 billion years old, I'm not sure if you'd be able to cope with black holes, asteroids, and the likelihood that alien life forms with more advanced weaponry likely exists out there somewhere. Look, Farke would have walked from us the moment Dortmund decided they wanted him... there was no 20 year project.... Farke would have been tempted by a job at some point, he never brought his family over apparently. Arminia Bielefeld will probably want him at some stage now he's a free agent and he'd be well chuffed with that for geographical reasons. This isn't utopia, relationships are typically time limited.
  22. Is Brentford debatable, now that his assistant manager took over his job and then managed what Dean Smith failed to do? They have undoubtedly been taken to another level with Thomas Franks, although could argue that it was funded by flogging players partly developed by Smith sticking them in the side.
