  1. How long Webber gets to dine out on 2017 & 2018, because we're in 2022 now, and everytime his recruitment is questioned people always list players from his first two summers. I'm fine with saying that he got lucky if that puts us on the same page.
  2. LOL, its almost as Darren Eadie, Craig Bellamy, Keith O'Neill and Robert Green never happened isn't it. If they are good enough they are old enough, hardly groundbreaking.
  3. Even if we want to give the Webber era full credit for Maddison and Godfrey, and add Lewis, if you divide that by 5 seasons it isn't a great deal of transfer revenue per season with which to play with, and puts the hugely inflated Gunn and Sargent fees into serious question. It's all good generating a bit of transfer profit, but not when you consistently waste the proceeds when attempting to reinvest, hardly pulling off deal after deal like Brentford are we. RECRUITMENT has been consistently terrible, that's why I said WEBBER SIGNINGS, you can't muddy the waters and counter that claim by listing players signed by a previous regime or who were already signed to our academy... it isn't rocket science.
  4. I specifically said Webber signings, he wasn't one, he came at the same time as Maddison in a window which Webber has heavily criticised McNally for.
  5. It includes Pritchard, Oliviera (£900k whoop whoop!), Murphy, Rudd, Howson etc. I mean I can just give you a Lewis + Godfrey + Maddison figure if you want, buy can assure you it isn't £103m.
  6. I didn't include the players like Ben Marshall and Phillip Heise who arrived for a fee and left for £0.
  7. Emi Buendia - £36m Marley Watkins - £990k Marcel Franke - £900k (Loss) Dennis Srbeny - £180k (Loss) Ermmm... actually that's it so far. The other £103.6m of incoming transfer fees has come from players that preceded his reign. Self-funding isn't going to go well when we run out of academy products to sell is it... and we're not far from that point?
  8. Selling Aarons is only chance of having a transfer budget.
  9. I mean, to be fair, it must be the worst title defence in history.... 4 straight defeats and 17 points off top at the halfway point.
  10. Thought his missus was here before him?
  11. It feels like you do this same thread every week.
  12. To be fair it is NYE, so I'm not going to criticise you for being off your face on something. Happy new year.
  13. Maybe no teams with those types of players were consistently at the bottom end of the top flight, because they can't afford to carry luxury players and when they do... they don't last long.
  14. No wonder Cantwell has got ahead of himself
  15. Tell you what then Mr. Strawman, lets change absolutely f*ck all. Let's continue with Gilmour being blown over in the wind, force Smith into trying to get a tune out of an increasingly disinterested Cantwell, and not allow him to bring in any of his trusted players like El Ghazi, even though this was a luxury afforded to Farke (and Lambert). And then sleepwalk towards beating about half a dozen depressing Premier League records. Lets do that, just because you can think of some small footballers, lets continue doing exactly what we're doing... failing hard.... because Lionel Messi exists and is short (despite the fact that he's actually freakishly strong), because that makes sense to you. All the best.
  16. As much as that is all true, he also had a gaffer who got rid of anybody the moment they showed signs they were turning into prima donna's or divas didn't he. The weren't any Todd Cantwell's in Alex Ferguson's dressing rooms, they got bombed out and went elsewhere to do their failing. He'd have been out two years ago under Fergie and his career unraveling would have happened on somebody elses dime.
  17. Are we claiming that he's going to have a long list of other suitors with his injury record? The chap is 25 and played fewer games than Max Aarons.
  18. I don't support the Billy Gilmour chant, I just think he's square peg round hole in this side and is perhaps at this level a year too soon. On Webber that, not Gilmour. But a poster was literally calling the people slagging off Cantwell armchair couch potato fans who don't go to games, before immediately undermining their own argument by drawing parallels to the abuse Billy Gilmour received at Palace by what he claims was just a "few fans". They are the City hardcore, and he weren't there!
  19. By the "few" at Palace you mean a few hundred, and those are from the hard-core! Imagine slagging off the away support that spends hundreds and gives up an entire day to watch this dross at the minute, fancy that!
  20. Are you seriously asking this question just after our hardcore belted out a rendition of "f*ck off back to Chelsea" to Billy Gilmour?
  21. No need to exaggerate really is there, the 6ft 1 inch right winger is an Ajax alumni with Holland caps. We just played a team packed full of players with superior athleticism and got torn apart, Watford did similar earlier in the season. It doesn't mean becoming Stoke City or copying Sean Dyches Burnley, you know this of course but it doesn't fit your doom agenda. Let's just keep watching Billy Gilmour getting nudged off the ball then shall we? Did we not learn anything from Leitner at this level? Yes this league is chock full of athletes. Same with the elite levels of other sports, like American Football and Rugby or even the 100 metre sprint. We aren't here as a charity for kids with short dads or mums who were tight on the weetabix.
  22. We are also on track for the 'fewest PL goals scored in a season' record, which is 20 (shared by Derby and Sheffield United).
