1.

Just for Fernando (so you know how seriously I take all this)...A friend found one for me but this may not work.
I''m impressed. It suits you. [:P]
Well not really. My chin isn''t anything like that and my eyebrows are certainly more tastefully plucked![;)]
2. And inversely, MIA, that''s why and how PL clubs (or those newly promoted) can offer the magnanimous gesture of cheap or even free season tickets. The ''bums on seats'' money means little to a club''s revenue compared to the Sky millions.
3. Colchester have promised that their ST prices will be cheaper this season than last. Are you ready to see what you''d pay for the equivalent of my seat at Weston Homes(sounds like a housing development in Bowthorpe)?Colchester Utd - £456.
4. Strange, isn''t it?They''ve gone from Coppell who only signed for a season because he wasn''t interested in pay-offs (like Stuart Pearce and no other from what I''ve read) to this. I don''t get it either.
5. Ok, so I was bored and thought I''d look into this a bit more than I did the other week.NB. This is NOT a "please be nice and don''t take your rebate" thread - it''s a "bloody hell - how do some of these clubs get away with these kind of prices in the lower half of the football league with such awful facilities" thread! And I thought some of you might be interested at what goes on around us.So, here''s a selection of Season Ticket prices from around League One that are in similar positions to my seat at Carrow Road. I''ve put mine in for comparison and obviously it doesn''t include the rebate, with it the cost would be £296 (ie the cheapest I''ve found).Swindon Town - £305.20Stockport County - £322Leyton Orient - £325Carlisle Utd - £360Norwich City - £370Cheltenham Town - £371Huddersfield - £379Northampton Town - £410Charlton Athletic - £425Millwall - £425Leeds Utd - £646 (this is NOT a misprint!)I don''t know what I was expecting when I started looking at these figures but it has certainly surprised me at a time when football in general is hitting the financial brick wall at every level.Still, there you go. The true cost of watching League One footie. Scary, ain''t it?[:O]
6. Just for Fernando (so you know how seriously I take all this)... A friend found one for me but this may not work.
7. Ordinarily I''d agree with that MM, 100%. But the fact is that this club needs a lift, the fans, the players, the staff - everything about the place needs some happy pills and short of that elusive knight turning up any day soon finding out that Hux is back in almost any capacity will put a smile on many faces.Personally I''d like to see him in the kind of mentoring role he spoke about in the video (put a link in Pete?) but if he is capable of the odd blast of 20 minutes here and there he''s still worth it in my book. Not a starter by any means, but a shot in the arm? Certainly.
8. Just playing the last 20 minutes of every home game would do me! The buzz would be fantastic.[:D]
9. That''s what I understood - thanks for the confirmation Cam.
10. Depends how he''s getting on with this injury that was holding him back doesn''t it?SJE might be more than happy to get him off the payroll early if he''s not playing and wants to be back in god''s own county? They may even have suggested it.
11. "It also gives other sports a chance to thrive without the competition from soccer and it gives us a chance to get involved with other sports without distraction."Absolutely.Football left unchallenged would kill most other sport in this country. Here''s the UK TV viewing figures for football and rugby union season finales in the last month:Champions League - 11,390,000FA Cup - 5,490,000Heineken Cup - 460,000Guinness Premiership - 440,000
12. More bad news on the big money front as Liverpool''s parent company reports losses of over £42 million and their auditors report was less than congratulatory! They have a £350 million loan deal to refinance by the end of July (which they already refinanced for 6 months in January) meaning Hicks and Gillett need to get selling to stabilise in the States. Why are they losing so much? Because of interest payments on the debt that H&G took out to buy the club in the first place.Sounds like Rafa will be scrabbling around for his kitty?
13. Not yesterday I wasn''t!Sustainable local economy - keep Norwich Airport flying!![;)]
14. As Branston said I''m sure the close season used to be longer, or maybe it''s just that a day seemed to last a week when we were kids and now it''s more like an hour!Anyway England qualifiers, Twenty20, Wimbledon, Ashes, pre-season friendlies - it''s a packed summer ahead.[:)]
15. I think they got one win bonus last season (in September v Sheff Utd) because of the new rule that they were only paid for the win if we were put or remained in the top half of the table.Cared a lot, didn''t they?
16. Just posted my season ticket rebate forms in the recycling bin and it feels great![;)]
17.
Carrow Road Announcer''A message to all the Hartlepool Supporters,  your minibus will be ten minutes late in arriving to pick you up''
Some of you guys need to be the man with the mike next season - good stuff, thanks. The above has to be the winner so far though. Class![:D]
18.
Dominic Byrne from the Chris Moyles show. Born in Norwich but makes it clear he moved away as early as possible! Supports Liverpool. Hates the Norfolk accent. Children have stupid names. What a ****! http://chrismoyles.net/mw/teamdominic.shtml
And so attractive too![8-)]
19.
Leave the house at 1.30 pop in to morrisions to get my lucky polos [:)] then go to the ground at about 2pm and watch the players warm up!!
Can you try a different mint based confectionery product next season?I don''t think the Polos work...[:(]
20. You need to build in the limitations that have been placed on the Club by our creditors too.If the majority shareholders percentage drops below a certain level loans start to become due - conditions that have been imposed by the lenders. All showing that the perception of the financial institutions is that Delia is of more value to Norwich City than Norwich City is to Delia (in pecuniary terms at least). That is the reason why a certain lower level of investment may be preferable to someone new in that funds they provide do go towards the football and not towards paying off Tom, Dick and Harry.
21. Geez, must have been a poor show to come up with that at 4.50am![;)]
22. Also interesting from a financial perspective is the fact that Setanta failed to meet its payment obligations to the SPL on Monday - an installment of £3 million has failed to show up in the SPL bank account. Setanta have asked for an advance from Sky of around £50 million for a deal that would allow Sky to sell Setanta packages to its customers - Sky have declined. It''s ITV Digital all over again and some of the clubs in the SPL are seriously worried about the implications on their cashflow and overall financial stability because of this missed payment and the fact that Setanta are trying to negotiate downwards the new deal due to run to 2014 that they signed off on recently. The Sky monopoly marches on but there could be some cheap deals on players from north of the border as clubs try to balance their books if Setanta can''t fulfil their contract.
23. Brave attempt to lighten things up a bit alert!Since the infamous SC*M scoreboard mishap Carrow Road seems to have lost its sense of humour. I''ve just been looking through some of the BBC choices for best stadium announcement of the season and I''m wondering if we can try to have a bit of a laugh next season as we rampage through the dizzying lows of League One like a dose of salts?Something like this might jolly the mood:"It finishes Crawley Town 2, Woking 2. Be sure to tune in to the Blue Square Premier Review on Setanta next week to see how far offside Woking''s first goal was!"Crawley stadium announcer.Or perhaps:"On loan from Tottenham so that he can feel what three points is like - Andy Barcham!"Stadium announcer at Gillingham greets on-loan midfielder Andy Barcham from Spurs, who were bottom at the time.Any ideas for the man with the mike at FCR*?[;)]*keep ''em clean!
