1.
We are the only team not to score at Wigan this season!!! With 1 win in 14 how and why is Hughton keeping his job??? Its an awful run, but its not unlucky Norwich, we are not even creating chances, not having shots on target, so its not bad luck, we are woeful under Hughton, too negative, too defence minded, the mind set is don''t lose at all costs!!!
not forgetting only 1 away win all season
 2.

If fortune favours the brave then relegation favours the timid.   We are in big trouble now.
Exactly right. We''re not good enough. We''re on the cusp of championship football again. Hughton should have had us safe weeks ago. There was no need for us to be playing negative football. Now there is huge pressure on every game and I think we''re going to crack.
Spot on IMO
 3.
only team not to score at home to Southampton... 5 goals in 10 Premiership games 6 failed to score in 10 Premiership games No shots on target today
only 28 goals in 31 games
 4.
Don''t BS and say its all fine? So you don''t want anyone with a positive opinion? Might as well not bothered with this thread...
dont bother with any threads you wont be missed
 5.

I really can''t be bothered with some fans. If you''re all that negative and depressed about football, why bother? I seriously couldn''t be bothered to even check the results if I felt like half of you lot on here...
I think the problem GP is that blind optimism is starting to grate somewhat. The evidence of the majority of our games in 2013 is that we do not look like scoring goals and cannot kill a game despite appearing to be the better team. Of the seven games remaining - can we really, hand on heart, be sure of picking up another win? Responses to your posts would be more favourable if there were some balance to them and acknowledgement of the position we now find ourselves in. The reality is we are slipping further towards the bottom three and look ill-equipped to deal with it. I love the fact you are confident in how you think our coming fixtures will play out but you would be naive not to use the evidence available from the previous seven games and it doesn''t bode that well.
And if it hadnt got personal

 7.

When you set up not to lose, that''s always the danger, that you concede.  I don''t care what Hughton claims today, we set up not to lose this and it''s backfired big time!
I have to say I find this comment really poor. We had the majority of the chances, the majority of the possession and what is failing us is the final ball and finishing - who''s fault is that? It is not for the lack of attacking play, but turning that attacking play into goals. I feel for Hughton, I really do as people are looking at the goals for and stating that we are playing defensively as why we are not scoring when that is not the case. It''s about how to try and fit into a side your best attacking assets. I hope todays game also shows people who were calling for E.Bennett to play that he is not as good as Pilkington or Snodgrass and probably is not premiership.
How did we have the majority of the chances wigan 13 off 6 on us 9 off 5 on
 8.
We haven''t been playing defensive football today you prat. Actually watch the game.
Would u like to come and meet me and call me a prat.? Remind me how many teams have scored fewer goals than us this season 28 goals in 31 games
 9.
We will beat Swansea next week. Wigan were always likely to win this game, its what they do at this time of the season. We do well against Swansea. And then we have Reading and Villa at home as well, two very winnable games. Dead cert draw with Stoke and then we have Arsenal, West Brom and Man.C to do whatever against.
what are you on. Hughton has got us playing boring defensive football yet we have some very winnable games? dont we have to scoire to win? is this wigans first home clean sheet of the season
 10.
Interesting analysis thanks for posting. Mike Jones seems to treat the smaller clubs all roughly the same with a 10% win ratio strangely the Man Citys and Chelseas get a 90% win ratio with the same ref.
I didnt check all stats but the fact the top temas win more games anyway has to mean their win percentage with any ref is better
 11.
Just got an e mail confirming that I was unsuccessful in the ballot yet I applied in group 2 so no ballot needed! Think I need to call the ticket office!
Not trying to be unhelpful, but was anybody on your application in group 3 as they take the lowest group applicant and apply to all, sory if thats stating the obvious
 12. Is this a rumour (I havent read all 14 pages just the last few) it reads like we have signed him, best thing since sliced bread etc
 13.
It''s on the official site, part of a general ticket news story from yesterday.  Group 2 successful, ballot in Group3.  Obviously Groups 4 and 5 unsuccessful. I missed out last year (in Group 3), hope to be luckier this year especially as I only live around a 30 minute walk away and drive past the stadium on the way to work every day!
Thanks   Yes found it now, I assumed it was news today.
 14. Just been told there is a ballot for group 3 applicants, all others unsuccesful, but cant see anything on the official site
 15.
To be fair to Ed Chamberlain I think he was offering the alternative viewpoint to Cole & Yorke so as to develop the argument.
no he wasnt...he was being a dick
 16.
I think the penalty was fair enough.  I think the red card was a decision of monumental stupidity, and that was before I heard Graham may have been offside in the build-up (though clearly not from Turner''s header). ON a more passionate and less well thought out note, I think Chris Foy is a c*nt.
graham cant have been offside as it came off turners head. Wasnt deliberate handball so Bunn should have stayed on pitch   as for the pen, fletcher was offside and that should have been given and even after that agin it wasnt deliberate handball so no pen
 17.
Yes drop Holt and replace him with a player from our long list of in-form strikers.
makes perfect sense to most muppets on here
 18.
Why are you suspicious, this is the best place to find the answer surely?
What game are you going to see tomorrow
 19. According to some on here it doesnt matter. manu are world class so what do you expect.   not what i think but many do
 20.
Wasting a bit of time to prevent goal no 5
Can anyone explain the 90th minute sub Becchio for Holt

except the ref added 35 seconds on for the sub, so didnt waste any time. All talk before the ganme was how we play well against manure, now its they are better than us, we shouldnt be playing entertaining football, what did you expect, damage control, etc etc. unbelievable
 21.

Maybe 1 upfront and a 1-0 loss might have been the better option after all.
wouldnt have made any difference, the changes should have been made at half time not on 70 mnutes
Quite right. Then we could have lost 6-0.
But maybe had a shot on target and enternaied the away support rather than no shots on target and still losing by 4
Get real.....Man U is a world class team..... NCFC isn''t. If we''d''ve gotten anything today, at OT, it would''ve been a fantastic result. Anyone who thinks otherwise is simply deluded.
Is anyone saying they arent. Do you think its acceptable to play any team and not have a single shot on target
 22. Can anyone explain the 90th minute sub Becchio for Holt
 23.
''Going for it'' could have led to us being picked off five or six nil. The bottom line is that unless you catch United or City on an off day then the gulf in class between them and a bottom half club like us is enormous, whatever formation or tactics are employed. The next three games are far more important.
istead we dodnt go for it and got picked off 4 nil..i despair
