1.

As far as I am aware no ''business'' has been placed in administration due to either an annual loss or indeed the debt that the organisation has.  A business is placed in administration by either the board or the banks if it has run out of cash and cannot a) service the debt payments or/and b) meet it''s necessary and conracted regular outgoings. This clearly includes such areas as salaries (being the biggest commitment). I am also not aware that the palyers have not been payed, a point I am sure we would all find out about. Finally would the board approve a 3.5 yr contract yesterday to CM and all the additional cost that incurs if we were " on the brink of financial meltdown".............Unless there is another motive! Exceptional TEAM performance yesterday!
Common sense but well said. We have a squad that is currently full of salable assets. Holt, Hoolahan, Martin, Russell, Smith, even the Doc. They would be sold to stave off administration. We have also signed players like Whitbread, Martin and McNamee all for a fee I believe and not to mention their wage. We have a guy in Mcnally who as far as I can see has never lied to us. He told us we have no need to sell our star players. We haven''t. If we were so close to administration would he say that? would we still have our stars? Finally we have in Bowkett, Foulger and Smith and Wynn Jones 4 people with the financial capability to stave of any threat of administration at this level. I for one am convinced they would, but I for one think this story is a load of waffle.
I wish I shared your confidence but I can''t believe anyone would make something like this up and print it in a national newspaper. The people running the club would have no say in the matter if the banks decided to pull the plug and say enough is enough.
 2. I know the News of the World isn,t exactly reliable but they do get some things right and it does sound more like a statement of fact rather than a speculative story. Don''t know exactly how this administration thing works but surely Delia would sell the club to someone for a nominal amount to someone who is prepared to take the club on rather than allow it to go into admin and ending up getting nothing back.
 3.
Not sure about Best, but definately the most important
Considering we only had 10 men I,d say it was the best performance.
 4. Spot on CA, the team were immense in the second half considering we had 10 men and even though they had three or four chances we gave them plenty to think about. Extremely enjoyable afternoon and I can''t remember the last time I felt as proud as I do tonight.
 5. Have to agree with all that, I was proud to be a Norwich fan today.
 6. After todays game I should think there were a few pairs of messy underpants around after such a nailbiting second half.
 7. I thought their keeper was excellent, if we lose Fraser we could do worse than try and sign him. Fans were excellent as well and I though the sending off gave us the kick up the backside we needed.
 8. Just back from the game and I have to say under the circumstances that was our best performance of the season, second half when we were down to 10 men but I always felt we would score. We needed Forster on top of his game and he didn''t let us down, we dominated possesion for a lot of the second half but Brentford looked dangerous when we got caught out on the break and Forster was magnificent every time we needed him. Thoroughly deserved and satisfying three points.
 9. Seem to remember reading the Crewe forums when he first signed for us and many of them were saying he was good when he could be arsed to put the effort in but that was nowhere near often enough and so it has proved in his time here. There is a good player in there somewhere but with his half arsed attitude his potential will never be realised whoever he plays for.
 10. Middlesboro have only won 1 trophy in their entire history, even we can better that. Lower attendances, grim Northern town and mouthy fans...who the hell in their right minds would choose that god awful place over this. If they hadn''t got lucky with Gibson they would have been in the conference where they belong by now.
 11. I thought we had some good attacking play at times which was only let down by trying one pass too many instead of having a shot, most of the problems Exeter caused us were brought on by our own sloppy defending which seemed to spread through the back four like a rash at times. Exeter had a couple of good spells at the end of the first half and midway through the second but even though we were far from convincing I thought we still did enough to merit the 3 points. 6.5 for most players seems about right but I''d give Wes and Holty a 7 and martin a 6.
 12.
Kdncfc, I agree with you about the bookies, and Lambert wont go, but to say we are a bigger club than Burnley is a bit wide of the mark. Burnley has a lot of history, it also only has a population of 80,000 and has the highest population to fan fanbase in the country. They are also in the premiership, we are in league one, I would like to think of us as a bigger team than wigan who have a poor support {being a rugby town} and were in the non league not too long ago, sadly though we are not bigger than wigan and currently are not bigger than Burnley. If Burnley made a bid for Hoolahan would you deny him this move or is your thinking management based and not player based? Could you honestly deny any player in League One the chance to play in the Premiership? Look at Jermaine Beckford, poised for promotion with Leeds but set for Newcastle. And no im not trying to take the p;ss mate.
I would deny any of our players a move to a prem club if I could Arthur, I care about NCFC and don''t give a damn about a player or manager furthering his career elsewhere. If we can find a new owner with a bit of cash I think our long term prospects would be far better than Burnleys will ever be and that scenario will happen one day hopefully sooner rather than later. I am sick to the back teeth with the way players and managers jump ship at the first opportunity, probably won''t happen but it would be nice to see our players show us a bit of loyalty after what we''ve been through the last few years.
 13.
If our club, with Lambert at the helm, is to be remotely successful again then we are going to have to get used to him being linked with every job that''s going at a ''bigger'' club. He might end up taking one of them, but I fully expect that he''ll be linked with/turn down more.
If he was linked with a job at a bigger club I could accept it, even though Burnley do have a distant history they have been behind is in the pecking order for most of the last 35 years and even though they''re in the prem I still don''t see them as bigger than us.
 14.
paul lambert now odds on with most bookies. 5/2 with betfair. Taken fron a Burnley fans site.
Seem to remember Paul Jewell being favourite to get our managers job and it didn''t happen, bookies are often wrong when it comes to the managerial merry go round.
 15. I would be very disappointed in Lambert if he goes, he''s young enough to bide his time for at least another season and a half to see if he can get us promoted. There''ll be far bigger jobs than Burnley there for the taking sometime in the not too distant future if he continues to be a success here.
 16. I don''t care if Burnley are in the prem, Lambert is a young manager and will have more opportunities to manage a better club in the future if he fails to make it there with us. I''ll be gutted if he does leave especially for a ramshackle club like Burnley, if after a couple of years we are nowhere near getting to the prem I could understand him going there but not so soon after joining us.
 17.
Why does it look like promotion or bust?? These are last seasons results and our income will be down a little but the wage bill will be down a lot.  The accounts include the roeder pay off and the cheap gunn dismissal,  and the loan fees will have vanished. We will make a loss next season,  ut it will be smaller,  and the noise from McNally is that while they still want to improve the situation things have improved over thelast 5 months.  Why would I not beleive his comments on that?
The banks won''t wait for their money for ever and will want to see the debt reduced as soon as possible, for  as long as we''re in league 1 it will be very difficult to reduce the debt while remaining competetive on the pitch. If we don''t go up I''d imagine gates will go down next season especially if we have to sell our best players, unless there''s an announcement on additional funding at todays press conference it''s imperative we go up this season imo.
 18. The thing that most annoys me about Ipswich fans is how they claim that the League and Milk cup trophies we have won as insignificant while conveniently failing to remember that in the days we won them every club took the competition very seriously and played their strongest teams making it a far more difficult to win. The FA Cup has admittedly always been the most prestigous competition but even that has become a bit mickey mouse because of the way the big clubs have disrespected it.
 19. If we fail to get promoted this season and don''t find a new majority shareholder we''re buggered, all the decent players we do have will be sold to pay off some of the debt and we''ll be on a par with the majority of teams in this division. On the bright side it seems that someone must be putting their hands in their pockets to finance the new players, probably Foulger. Let''s just hope it pays off and we get promoted.
 20. I was directly in line with the Grant Holt disallowed goal and he was at least level when the ball was played, the linesman was very slow to catch up with play and put his flag up after Holt had moved forward a couple of yards. Diabolical decision by the linesman.
 21.

are support is quiet its beyond me how any ncfc can critise other atmospheres. We have 3/4 blocks that sing out of the whole ground.
Get it right, there are 10 blocks in the Barcley for a start mind you only us and the snakepit make any noise but even that makes 11. I have to say for the first 30 mins the Milwall fans seemed loud from the Lower D block after that all i could hear was us. I sang for nearly the whole game and think it was one of the best atomspheres this season.
The Millwall support, when they did actually chant were louder. End of. Norfolk people are more reserved and don''t have such large traps. And I''m proud to be one of ''em. Some times. [;)]
On the odd occasion the Barclay got their singing together they were far louder than Millwall, having been in the Jarrold close to the N+P I expected them to be really loud but I could barely hear them even when they did sing.
 22.

I can''t see how we will be fine when we''re already so far behind the leaders that it''ll take a minor miracle to get auto promotion even at this early stage, we just don''t seem to be good enough even at this level to grind out the regular wins that will see us climb the table. I can''t see things improving significantly until Smith and Jones sell up to someone who is prepared to put serious money into the club, even if by some miracle we do get promoted the chronic lack of funds will prevent us being competetive.
You may want to reconsider one or two of the points made here!!   Is your glass always half empty???[:D]
More than happy to admit I was hopelessly wrong, I''m sure there were plenty of others who saw things the same way back then. Our performance since Lambert has taken over has been nothing short of remarkable, still stand by the last point about us not being competetive in the Championship without investment though. Lets hope if the investment fails to materialise  that I''m as wrong about that as I was about us not being good enough to win regularly at this level
 23.

so that was the famous feared millwall support ?  good numbers for an early kick off but vocally pathetic..ridiculed by the barclay  all game  ..bristol rovers and oldham were better [:D]
I disagree - the Millwall fans were much louder than the Barclay for most of the match.
Was in block N of  the Jarrold and the Millwall fans were very quiet only heard them a couple of times, having said that the whole stadium including the Barclay was very quiet for most of the game
 24. -10 and that''s being over generous, how he managed to give them a corner in the last few minutes when their player quite clearly put the ball out I''ll never know. Grant Holt was level at worst with their defender when he had his goal disallowed, I was in the Jarrold directly in line with Holt. Also the amount of fouls he failed to give us when our players were quite clearly pushed in the back was beyond belief.
