1. ...Craig Bellamy (on loan, with an option to buy if we stay up), and give us our best chance of avoiding the drop!! Can you imagine Huckerby, Ashton and Bellamy on fire up front - with the fans rocking behind them/! We have a dodgy defence - so let''s get cautiously attack orientated, as the best form of defence.                          [The only other thing you have to do is persuade Worthy to swallow his pride and consult with Dave Stringer, Ken Brown and Mike Walker on how best to implement this new strategy and then let him get on with it]. QED !!! Easy eh? Anybody agree???????? OTBC
2. Chris Sutton & Ron Davies. Who? Yep, Dean Ashton. He looks good, real good. Anybody out there agree? OTBC.
3. Too many youngsters on this thread!!!!!! Now, if you''d all had the privilege of seeing Kevin Keelan in action then.............................                              OTBC.
4.
Ah, but summer is boring ´cos there áint no footy!
Summer boring with a chorizo not possible I think ; not with those my neighbour says she had in Brazil anyway. OTBC.
5. Actually Dumble there was an unreported second sentence! "Why don''t they change the manager like other clubs?" Again I didn''t argue with her - because my brain says there''s a 50:50 chance that her solution is as correct as her analysis, but my heart.............. I started to tell her about sentiment and long term planning -but quite frankly................!!!! She''s sharp and cuts to the heart of the matter, my wife. Ah well, off to bed. OTBC.
6. .......City are too laid back, and need some fire in their bellies. I''m not going to argue with her. She''s right. OTBC.
7. El Chorizo- only mild ones? For all that PreMatch Tension and Post Match Tension that Susie speaks of?? Johnnie Walker was my refuge after Villa.                     OTBC.
8. Take a chance ''Turn to the Yell..........'' - you said it yourself. OTBC
9. Uncritical support would seem rather mindless to me, if you will forgive the term - no offence meant. For me, there has to be room for both constructive criticism and probing questions. That does not mean City will not have my blind support every match provided the players give 100% (whether wisely guided or not)  A 46 year veteran. OTBC for ever.
10. Almost every day since the beginning of the season Nigel Worthington (either directly or by implication) has rabbited on about the lack of quality players at his disposal. If you were a player how would you feel??? I saw 6 premiership matches on TV this weekend - 4 live and 2 tape delayed (without knowing the result beforehand). So, I saw Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bolton, Chelsea, Spurs, Norwich, Villa, Fulham, WBA, Middlesboro and Everton. City were pathetic - embarrassingly poor - in comparison to all the other 11 teams.  WBA played out of their skins & were unlucky to lose, Bolton beat Arsenal.........all were motivated and looked like premiership teams. But City? The players ran hard .....but without belief and bereft of confidence. The tactics were idiotic. I was embarrassed in front of my friends - and angry. So I ask the question. Who lacks quality - the manager or the playing squad??????????? Worthy, promotion was "yesterday", look into yourself, revise your psychological and tactical approaches and come out fighting- because I fear you may be losing the dressing room. May good luck shine on you and wisdom be yours - for all our sakes. OTBC. For ever.
11. I''d prefer that we jogged along nicely rather than plodded, whilst quietly going about our business. I''m all for Worthy, but will there come a time when the Board is not up for one of his periodic ultimatums?  What then? OTBC.
12. Does anybody out there agree? Our surge to the title last year certainly coincided with his arrival. I think we have missed him considerably this season. Anybody agree? Or am I just misty eyed with memories of last season??!! OTBC
13. A friend tells me that there are persistent rumours on the south coast that Southampton will move for Holt if they can''t get Quashie. OTBC
14. No! We are going to triumph over all the odds. I feel it in my bones! Ashton is one more than Aston. Place your bets! OTBC.
15. No thanks. Not real Prem class. Has just hit a temporary vein of form. We need and deserve better. OTBC P.S Would be good to help dig us out of the Championsip next year if it comes to that. But I''m into the power of positive thinking.
16. By and large in football you make your own luck. To miss chances consistently over time is not bad luck - it means we simply are not up to scratch for the Premiership. That is why the boat was pushed out so far for Ashton. Similarly it is not bad luck after 22 matches that we have leaked more goals (39) than any other team except West Brom (43), and have the 2nd worst goal difference by a substantial margin -20 to West Brom''s -26 & Southampton''s -15), and have scored the the 2nd least number of goals (19 to West Brom''s 17). We need desperately a commanding central defender to pair with either Fleming or Doherty. No Norwich team over the years has succeeded without a strong spine -  goalkeeper, 2 central defenders and centre forward/main striker. TO STAY UP THERE IS VERY LITTLE DOUBT THAT WE MUST URGENTLY ACQUIRE A COMMANDING CENTRAL DEFENDER TO COMPLETE A SATISFACTORILY STRONG SPINE. We have sufficient good enough players to take care of business in the other 7 positions. Then we can set about creating our own luck. OTBC P.S. Delia & Worthy. Hierro is available. If he can still cut it and his head is in the right place, then I say go for him on a short term contract.
17. Seems you must have frightened them Phil!!!!! The online edition says "No, the Canaries are beyond help" rather than "..........cr*p". Well done! OTBC
18. Only if fans are clearly warned beforehand and let in free could such a gameplan be described as pragmatic. Otherwise it must be cynical. IMHO. Anyway I''m sure we all slept well last night with Ashton in the fold!!!! OTBC
19. "Kids are not the answer" ....Worthy. He''s 18 and younger than Jarvis. Maybe you have to be an Arsenal youngster to be part of the answer. Like Masters Bentley and Fabregas, not to mention Routledge and Watson at Palace. OTBC
20. Relax y''all. Driver got lost on the way to ASDA. OTBC
21. I think that it is fair to say that all the best City teams over the past 45 years have been anchored by a strong spine - goalkeeper, centrebacks (2) and centre forward/principal striker. It is quite evident that in these positions only Robert Green is up to scratch. In order to stay up we need at least one commanding central defender as well as a strong, mobile skillful striker. Quickly Delia before it''s too late!!! OTBC
22. If so, why does he (a) get caught offside so often (lack of peripheral vision?) and (b) commit so many fouls. The upshot of these failings is that we surrrender good possession in advanced positions too often. As a lone striker I think he also gets forced too wide too frequently, instead of being available in the box often enough. Give Jonson the job up front for a couple of games I say - relieving him after 65-70 minutes with Jarvis/Crow. OTBC
23. ................for ever. But, let''s all hope that 2005 will not be a year to forget. If supporters, staff, board and players all do their best then we can have no complaint - whether we survive or sink to rise again. OTBC - and a very Happy New Year to all connected with our team.
